Rep. Mike Hamilton Calls Opponent "faggot" and "gay' at Polling Location
The race between State Rep. James White and State Rep. Mike "Tuffy" Hamilton is a vicious race. Both sides have been in attack most with over half a million to spend each. All kinds of things have been said about each others record.
Mike Hamilton just took it up a notch today. Hamilton went really dirty and just started calling people names at the polling location in Lumberton, TX.
I now understand why Hamilton got so many ethics violations and a dishonorable mention from Texas Monthly for unprofessional actions in the Texas House of Representatives.
Here is what happened:
As I stood by the road in Lumberton, TX holding a sign for James White, Hamilton pulled up to me and rolled down his window and said "you look gay standing out there, you look like a faggot."
Later in the day, as I walked back to the building from the road, a voter who knew me came up to me and told me that she wanted to let me know that she was standing by Mike Hamilton's tent and she overheard Hamilton bragging about how he rolled down his window and called me a fag. She said she was shocked that he would be bragging about something like that in public. She almost did not think it was even true until I told her that Hamilton indeed had done that!
Politics can get dirty but a State Representative JOE STRAUS COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN rolling down his window and calling someone a faggot is so completely unprofessional that it is just hard to even believe...
I am happily married with a baby boy on the way just so Hamilton knows....
I don't know if Mike will win, but James White is in the lead so far 56% to 44 % and I hope James White wins!

Texas teachers’ pension fund invests in casinos, loses $99 million
For everyone out there that thinks Casinos and expanded gambling will help Texas financially, like State Rep Mike "Tuffy" Hamilton and Joe Straus, this article is for you from the Dallas Morning News:
Texas teachers’ pension fund invests in casinos, loses $99 million
http://www.dallasnews.com/investigations/headlines/20120512-texas-teachers-pension-fund-invests-in-casinos-loses-99-million.ece
Seriously, if Casinos and Gambling were that great then why are the big gambling states like Nevada (Las Vegas) in a financial crisis? If you family had financial problems would you tell your wife that the next paycheck you get you are not going to buy food and instead will go to the casino to make things better?
Texas is smart, we have done well financially in a bad economic downturn and have created more jobs than all the other states combined. We did that by building a real and stable business foundation and not by trying to rely on a bet.

TX School Sued for Prohibiting 3rd Grader from Inviting Friend to Church - Nederland ISD
Ok this is just ridiculous,
Nederland ISD has been sued by the alliance defense fund who is representing Michael Metcalf, the father of a 3rd grade student at Hillcrest Elementary School who was prohibited from giving a classmate friend and invitation to go to church with him.
This is a constitutional free speech violation and it appears that the only reason the child was barred from passing out the card was due to the fact that it was a Christian card.
Where does the school think they can prohibit a student from inviting a fellow student to a church event after school hours and off of school grounds? The school doesn't prohibit kids from passing out other invitations like birthday party invitations.
We are not talking about a teacher trying to persuade a kid to believe in one religion over another. We are talking about a student asking another student to go to church with him. If the parent does not want the kid to go to church then the parent can say no.
Banning a student from inviting another student to an out of school church event is especially silly because students can start a Christian club and have a Christian meeting AT A SCHOOL as long as it is not during class time. I remember going to a student led Lumberton Raiders for Christ meeting before school every week, and we even got to invite fellow students to go!
This school is way out of line with their politically correct mentality that has led to a constitutional free speech violation by banning this kid from asking another kid to go to church with him.'
Maybe there is something in the water in southeast Texas because within a year I have posted articles about 2 other schools that have had incidents where a student or teacher was treated unfairly based on their Christian or political beliefs.

Obama DOJ Forces Women to Use Restroom with Men at Arkansas School - Obama's War on Women
Obama's war on women continues. Obama has already tossed out 30,000 women from a Texas Women's Health Program because Texas decided to not fund abortion providers as part of the women's health program. Now, over the objection of the women at the University of Arkansas at Ft. Smith, Obama's DOJ sent a letter to the school demanding that they allow a 38 year old male with male body parts to be able to pee standing up in a stall next to college girls who will likely be frightened wondering why there is a male in the stall next to them.
This man feels more comfortable wearing a dress and wants to use the bathroom with women instead of men and apparently Obama and Eric Holder at the Department of Justice agree with him. After all, it is a fundamental right that a guy should be able to use a women's bathroom right?
This is unbelievable. Obama does not care about the security and safety of women. Any pervert who wants to see women use the bathroom will now be able to do it thanks to Obama. If you let this guy use the women's restroom just because he puts on a dress and makeup, how can you stop any other guy who wants to do it? All the guy has to do it put on a dress and say he is a transgender...

UPDATE 3:30 PM EST: Recently obtained university documents, shows that Braly also complained about "housing" issues and his ability to partake in a "pom squad tryout." The documents reveal that the university changed policy to accommodate him.
A letter from the Department of Justice (DOJ) caused the University of Arkansas at Ft. Smith (UAFS) early this month to reverse policy and allow a 38-year old anatomically male-student permanent use of women's bathrooms on campus despite opposition from female students.
The university made the reversal on "advice of counsel" after receiving a letter the DOJ sent in response to a complaint that a single, self proclaimed "transgender" student filed with the DOJ's Civil Rights Division.
"Because of the stance we took, the individual filed a complaint with the Office of Civil Rights in the Department of Justice," Mark Horn who is the vice president of university relations explained in an interview with Campus Reform on Tuesday.
Jennifer Braly, the student who filed the complaint, calls himself "transgender" with a "gender identity disorder." Braly, however, remains anatomically a man and is currently raising money online for Sex Reassignment Surgery (SRS).
Braly filed the complaint with the DOJ after the university initially told him to use the campus's several gender-neutral bathrooms instead of the women's restrooms.
"Some saw me using the women' public restrooms and complained," explained Braly in her online appeal for donations for surgery. "[O]ne problem to this is there are not unisex bathrooms in every building. Especially the two main buildings where most of my classes are, so I have to go to a completely different building to use the restroom."
....."In the eyes of the law this individual [Braly] is entitled to use the bathroom that she identifies with," Horn concluded.
But in the eyes of at least some female students at UA, anatomy still matters.
''I disagree with allowing a male to use the female restrooms," Amanda Shook, a senior at UA told Campus Reform on Wednesday. "Even if they are a transgendered person, they are still a man, and should have to use the men's restroom.".....

Car Bomb Explodes near Texas/Mexico Border - Zetas Drug Cartel Attack
Violence like this along the border is getting worse and is already spilling over into the US and Texas. When will the Obama Administration and the Federal Government step up to do more to protect our own border from this escalating violence?
The car bomb article today from the associated press (see below) is yet another example of this escalating violence.
If you live on the border, massive gun battles and explosions can be heard on a nearly daily basis. Here are some articles I have posted about border violence just in the last year. I barely even scratch the surface:
SHOCKING Texas/Mexico Border WARZONE PICTURES and VIDEO: Massive Battle Across Texas Mexico Border - Machine Guns and Explosions - Morning of April 21, 2011
Urgent: Texas Rangers and Federal Agents have Gun Batttle on Texas/Mexico Border
Violent Mexican Drug Cartels Target Texas School Children for Gangs, Drugs and Death
Greg Abbott Tells Obama to PROTECT US NOW after Texas Officer Shot by Mexican Drug Cartel on Border
Texas Law Enforcement Battle 15 Armed Mexicans Crossing Border At Least 1 Mexican National Shot - Election Day Battle 11/8/2011
It is a shame that most of this violence goes unreported in the national media and can only be found in a local newspaper or website....

MEXICO CITY (AP) - Mexican officials say suspected cartel gunmen have launched a complex attack involving heavy weapons and a car bomb on a police dormitory less than 4 miles (6.5 kilometers) from the U.S. border.
The two officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not yet authorized to release the information, said a number of police were wounded in the attack early Thursday morning in Nuevo Laredo in Tamaulipas state. The attack began with men opening fire, then setting off a car bomb in front of the police dorm. The officials did not provide details.

EXPOSED: Rep. Ritter Bribes Rep. Hamilton? Straus Chairmen give $100,000 to Defeat Rep. White Super Conservative
Texas State Representative Mike Hamilton's 8th day before election Campaign Finance Reports show that State Rep. Allan Ritter have given State Rep. Mike Hamilton at least $10,000. Click Here to see Mike Hamilton's Finance Report
After Redistricting, State Rep Mike Hamilton and State Rep Allan Ritter (both are moderate Straus Chairmen) were put in the same district together.
Mike Hamilton packed up and moved to Hardin County after redistricting but right before the election to run against Super Conservative State Rep. James White (White voted against Straus).
The question is, did Rep. Ritter bribe or pay off Mike Hamilton to get him to move to Hardin County so that Ritter and Hamilton do not have to face each other, and so that their leader Joe Straus would be happy because James White would have an opponent?
Straus is Behind Master Plan to Defeat Conservatives who Voted Against Him
Joe Straus has made good on his threat to hurt anyone on redistricting who voted against Straus. Most of the super conservatives in the Texas House of Representatives were hurt in redistricting. Especially in east Texas. Joe Straus had to tread lightly in redistricting with James White though because the DOJ and Republicans might have gotten suspicious if Straus would have redrawn James Whites district to hurt him or pair him (White is one of only 2 black republican State Reps and it a super conservative who got stellar conservative rankings from all conservative scorecards)
Because Straus did not want to openly attack a black, super conservative Republican, he devised a plan to secretly pair James White with one of his Chairman.
After redistricting, James White appeared to have his own district. He did not get paired with any other Republicans. Not so fast! Rep. Hamilton, a Straus Chairman, was going to have to face another Straus Chairman Rep. Ritter. Instead, Hamilton moved to Hardin County to run against White.
Are you telling me that Straus paired two of his Chairmen in redistricting, Ritter and Hamilton? Are you telling me that Straus did not know that Hamilton was going to move to Lumberton, TX to run against White? OF COURSE STRAUS KNEW! That was the Straus Plan. The plan was to pair two of his Chairmen together knowing full well that one of those chairmen was going to move to Hardin County to run against White. This plan allowed Straus to say he did not hurt Black State Rep. White in redistricting when in fact he actually did hurt White because he knew that his Chairman Hamilton was going to be moving to Hardin County which is in James White's new district.
Straus Chairmen funnel over $100,000 to Mike Hamilton's campaign to beat Conservative State Rep. James White
In the latest Campaign Finance Report, it was also discovered that many of the Chairmen for Straus have given over $100,000 to Hamilton's campaign. One of these Straus Chairmen contributing money to defeat James White is Rep. Larry Phillips. Rep. Phillips, you might remember, was the State Rep. accused of calling conservative State Reps. and telling them that they will be hurt in redistricting if they vote against Straus. White voted against Straus. See how everything fits together? It is all part of the plan....
Other Chairmen for Straus are also funneling money to fellow Chairman Hamilton in order to beat James White. Another of these Chairmen is Charlie Geren. Rep. Geren even gave $50,000 to Hamilton in just ONE check out of the many donations and loans that Hamilton has received from fellow Straus Lieutenants.
James White vs. Mike "Tuffy" Hamilton election is also about Casinos and Expanded Gambling
Straus has a HUGE personal financial interest in casinos and expanded gambling in Texas because of the racetracks that his family owns. Straus wants Casinos and expanded gambling so that he can make some extra money at the expense of gamblers who can't pay for food for the family because they have an addiction to gambling. One of his racetracks was even bought by a Las Vegas casino that has bet on cashing in once Straus gets the Texas Legislature to pass a casino and expanded gambling bill. The key to passing this bill is Straus Chairman Mike Hamilton.
State Rep. Mike Hamilton is chair of the licensing and regulations committee. This is the committee that a gambling bill would come out of. Of, what do you know, last session Hamilton WROTE a gambling/casino bill and did everything he could to try to pass it. He could not get enough votes so he killed the bill until next year.
Joe Straus NEEDS Hamilton to win to keep the hope alive of passing a Casino and Expanded Gambling bill.
Corrupt Murphy Turner Political Consultant Funded by Straus and working for Hamilton - Restraining Order Against Murphy Turner for Lies and Deception
Isn't it just coincidental that the Joe Straus supported Political Consultants are being used all across Texas in campaigns that attack and are trying to oust conservative Republicans?
Murphy Turner is so corrupt and deceptive in their campaigning that they even have had a restraining order issued against them. Apparently, Murphy Turner is trying to help their liberal and moderate candidates by starting a fake organization called "Texans for Fiscal Accountability." This fake organization has endorsed the bad candidates in an attempt to try to trick people into thinking that the real, legitimate "Texans for Fiscal Responsibility/Empower Texans" has endorsed these bad candidates when in fact "Texans for Fiscal Responsibility" actually opposes these bad guys. This deception caused a judge to issue a restraining order against Murphy Turner.
Murphy Turner is also sending out lies and deceptive material against James White. For instance, only flyer from Mike Hamilton says that Rep. James White was rated the second most liberal when in fact, James White is one of the TOP conservative Republicans in all of the legislature. All of the conservative organizations and even the liberal media acknowledge James White as a top conservative and NOT even close to being liberal.

Rep. Mike Hamilton Tax Liens, Sexual Harassment Allegations, and New Ethics Violations
Rep. Mike Hamilton Tax
Liens, Sexual Harassment Allegations, and New Ethics Violations
Texas Conservative
Republican News has received documents over the weekend revealing multiple Tax
Liens, judgments, fines and even sexual allegations against Mike “Tuffy”
Hamilton
- Hamilton allegedly
made sexually harassing comments in a Hearing to a female State Rep.
when he asked State Rep. Marisa Marquez if her mountains “breasts?”
were real or man-made.
- Mike Hamilton Tax Liens
for not paying Taxes (thousands of dollars)
-
Mike Hamilton Ethics Commission Judgments and thousands of dollars in fines
for misuse of funds
-
Complaints for using campaign funds to pay for luxury hotels in California and
lunch “meetings” at Hooters
- Mike Hamilton NEW Ethics Violations for not reporting money and
illegal billboards
- Hamilton demeans
fellow Lawmakers by referring to the ones he does not like as “Boys” and “Young
Ladies” instead of calling them by name or title
- Mike Hamilton has used his Taxpayer funded State Capitol office
as the location to have beer parties for young interns and lobbyists. He
calls it “Tuffy Tuesdays”
-
Allegations that Mike Hamilton turned down an offer to be on the important
Appropriations Committee because it would be “too much work” even though it
would have been beneficial to his constituents
The Gloves have Come
off in HD19 State Rep Election: Mike Hamilton Getting Desperate in race VS.
Super Conservative James White
These factual documents revealing Mike Hamilton’s vast
number of ethics problems were sent to Texas Conservative Republican News this
weekend following Mike Hamilton’s campaign falsely stating that James White had
resigned from his teaching job due to complaints. The media that originally
reported this allegation from Hamilton had to correct their articles after it
was revealed that Hamilton lied. The truth is that James White was not only given
a contract extension, but he was also given stellar year-end reviews. James
White only resigned from Livingston ISD after he was offered a teaching job at
Woodville ISD because WISD is much closer to his home in east Texas than LISD.
James White did have a complaint against him for including the Supreme Court Texas
Sodomy Case in his 12th grade class discussion of important Supreme
Court Decisions. The investigation that was closed quickly and James White went
on to get stellar reviews and a contract extension.
This is not the first
time Hamilton’s campaign has been caught lying. One flyer that Hamilton
sent out said that the Baker institute ranked White as the second most liberal
after every session White has been in. This was blatantly false. White has only
been in ONE session and the final 2011 session Baker Institute had White ranked
as a top Conservative and Mike Hamilton as being one of the bottom ranking
Republican conservatives. It was Hamilton who was actually ranked as the second
most liberal republican by the Baker institute following the 2009 session. Texans
for Fiscal Responsibility rated Tuffy only C+ fiscal conservative. Texas Eagle
Forum gave him a 32% social conservative score. Young Conservatives of Texas
gave him a 65% score. James White got a 92% Social Conservative Rating from
Texas Eagle Forum after the 2011 session and White got an A+ Fiscal
Conservative Rating from Texans for Fiscal Responsibility after the 2011
session. In that same flyer, Hamilton says that White moved into the district
to run for office. The truth is that White has been in East Texas for nearly a
decade. Two years ago White stepped up and ran and beat longtime Democrat State
Rep Jim McReynolds. White has been in office for one term and after
redistricting, Hardin County was put into his district. Mike Hamilton lost
Hardin County after redistricting. Mike Hamilton moved to Hardin County only a
FEW MONTHS ago to run against James White. Hamilton is the one who moved to run
for office, not James White.
Hamilton also lied to his constituents by directly telling
his conservative voters that he killed a casino gambling bill when Hamilton was
actually the person who wrote the bill and did everything he could to pass the
bill. The bill dies when Hamilton did not get the votes to move forward.
Mike Hamilton cannot combat his low conservative voting record,
liberal votes and multiple ethics violation judgments compared to James White’s super conservative rankings and record, so
Hamilton is attempting to confuse and distract voters.
Voters are
not happy about all this deception. The KBTV Fox 4 recently reported the
outrage from the Southeast Texas Tea Party after Hamilton backed out of a Tea
Party debate only days before the debate was to take place. I guess Hamilton
did not want to have to face the tough questions he would face in a debate with
super conservative James White.
Tax Lien Documents
These two documents
show that Hamilton did not pay his taxes and the State had to levy multiple tax
liens against Hamilton for thousands of dollars.

Alleged Sexual Harassment Comment
Documents
Attached is an El Paso Times News
article. This article was sent to me as evidence to an alleged sexually harassing
comment towards State Representative Marisa Marquez. This
article details a hearing about funds for the Franklin Mountains in El Paso.
The hearing was quick because the committee already knew they wanted to table
it. Mike Hamilton did have only one question for Democrat Rep.
Texas Ethics Commission Judgment and
Fine Documents
Hamilton was fined thousands of
dollars for using his Campaign money to pay his family members
Campaign Finance Report Documents
Show Misuse of Money
These documents show where Mike
Hamilton used his campaign funds to stay at a Luxury Resort in California and
also to have a “lunch meeting” at Hooters, a place known for
waitresses in tight shirts and short shorts.
Pictures and Documents of NEW Ethics
Violations
Mike
Hamilton is facing new Texas Ethics Violations and possible fines for putting
up several deceptive and illegal billboards up and also for not reporting
campaign funds and expenditures. The billboards (see picture) clearly do not
have the required disclaimer that this was a political advertisement. Hamilton
just wanted everyone in James White’s district to think that this was not a
political ad and Hamilton was just going to assume the position of being THEIR new
State Rep. Also, the campaign finance reports for “Friends of Mike Hamilton”
have $0 listed as Contributions and $0 listed as expenditures. This Hamilton
PAC has been listed as the one paying for Hamilton’s website, all of Hamilton’s
campaign mailers and tv attack ads. The Texas Ethics Commission Website shows
that several other Political Action Committees have reported given thousands of
dollars to friends of Mike Hamilton. Why has Hamilton’s group only reported
ZERO dollars for contributions and expenditures?

Judge Blocks NDAA Indefinite Detention of US Citizens by Military on American Soil
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) got a ton of backlash when it passed and was signed by President Obama because it legalized sex with animals in the military (beastiality) and because it allowed President Obama to use the military to arrest US citizens on American soil and hold them indefinitely and in secret. Thankfully, a Federal Judge has stepped in and blocked the indefinite detention aspect of the bill. We shall see what happens on appeal and in the U.S. Supreme Court, where it could likely end up.
Judge Blocks Controversial NDAA
Courthouse News Service
May 17, 2012
A federal judge granted a preliminary injunction late Wednesday to block provisions of the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act that would allow the military to indefinitely detain anyone it accuses of knowingly or unknowingly supporting terrorism.
Signed by President Barack Obama on New Year’s Eve, the 565-page NDAA contains a short paragraph, in statute 1021, letting the military detain anyone it suspects “substantially supported” al-Qaida, the Taliban or “associated forces.” The indefinite detention would supposedly last until “the end of hostilities.”
In a 68-page ruling blocking this statute, U.S. District Judge Katherine Forrest agreed that the statute failed to “pass constitutional muster” because its broad language could be used to quash political dissent.

Justices David Medina and Don Willett are Conservatives on Texas Supreme Court - Election 2012
The Texas Republican Primary Election 2012 is FINALLY here.
There are many very important races all across the State of Texas. There are important local/county Republican races (like sheriff) all the way up to important national Republican races (like US Senate).
Many voters in Texas tend to get tunnel vision on the local races around them. I personally have been mostly focused on helping super conservative State Rep James White win re-election against a less conservative Mike Hamilton in southeast Texas HD19 and also helping super conservative David Bradley win re-election to State Board of Education against moderate Rita Ashley.
We MUST fight off the tunnel vision though because there are SEVERAL important races that many voters ignore or do not even know about.
The State Board of Education is one of the races that are very important but gets little attention compared to other races.
The Texas Supreme Court is also one of the races that are very important but many people don't really care about.
People should care though! This is the Supreme Court of Texas and very important decisions that affect all Texans are made there.
We currently have a conservative majority on the Texas Supreme Court. This is very good because we all know how bad liberal judges can be when they try to force their liberal agenda onto the people by legislating from the bench.
Justices David Medina and Don Willett both face challengers in this year's Republican Primary Election.
I do not hesitate to oppose an incumbent if I believe the incumbent is not a conservative or not acting like a conservative.
That being said, I have not heard any reasons as to why Medina or Willett should be replaced. They are part of the conservative majority on the court and no one has shown me where they have ruled using liberal values instead of ruling using conservative values. The only argument I have heard is that the current Texas Supreme Court might be too business friendly, but even that argument does not have any facts to back it up to show me how this court is not acting conservatively in specific rulings.
I Support David Medina and Don Willett for re-election to the Texas Supreme Court
I have had the opportunity to talk to Justice Don Willett and have reviewed his conservative credentials. He is a strong conservative and a strong Christian with good values. He is considered to be the most conservative member of the Texas Supreme Court. His re-election is has received the most attention of the supreme court races and just about every conservative and Christian organization has thrown their support behind Justice Willett, including Texas super-hero conservative Attorney General Greg Abbott. Even nationally known figures are speaking out in favor of Justice Willett like Christian leader James Dobson. You can read the full list of Don Willet's endorsements here: http://www.donwillett.com/endorsements
I have not had a chance to talk to Justice David Medina, but I have reviewed his credentials and my friend Adryana Boyne of Voces Action sat down and had a good interview with him for Texas GOP Vote. Something that really got my attention about David Medina is his strong stance against legislating from the bench and instead just following the law. This is what Justice Medina had to say to Adryana in his interview with him for Texas GOP Vote, "My judicial philosophy is one of a conservative. I have a very conservative judicial philosophy and that simply means that I am there to interpret the law, interpret the statutes as it’s given to us by the Legislature. I don't write the law, I'm not the author of the law. If the legislature gives us a statute we apply the strict meaning, give the words the simplest terms and apply that meaning, don’t try to create a meaning and shape a meaning the way I think it should turn out. I just want to interpret the statute, and sometimes the court doesn’t necessarily agree with the statute, but its the statute that's given to us, and if it has to be changed the Legislature can change it. Of course if there is a challenge to the Constitutionality of a statute, then we'll look at that as well, but I believe in stare decisions which means that we take these cases and if there is a history of the case being, the law being a certain way than we try to follow that law..."
One of Medina's challengers seems to be good guy. John Devine stood up for the Ten Commandments in his state courtroom. I think that is great and I am sure he is a good guy, but I believe David Medina would do the same if put in that position and David Medina has served us well from what I have seen and no one has shown me evidence to the contrary. Medina has been endorsed by several good guys like Texas Right to Life, Conservative State Senator Dan Patrick and Conservative Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson. On top of fighting against liberal attacks on conservative values in our education standards, Bradley was part of implementing new standards/tests that are now moving our Texas public school teachers into the teaching of phonics, grammar, usage, correct spelling, penmanship, expository/persuasive/research writing, classic literature, informational text; having to look at the strengths AND WEAKNESSES of evolution; automaticity of math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), no calculators in grades K-5; an emphasis on reading the primary documents such as the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, the study of heroes and heroines of our state/nation/world, and American exceptionalism.
Rita Ashley, Bradley's opponent, does not represent conservative values, is much more closely associated with the Democrats, and has such disdain for the intellectual level of the voters that she thinks she can fool them. Not so. David Bradley is a proven conservative member of the Texas State Board of Education.
David Bradley's opponent, Rita Ashley, is a moderate Republican who is supported by liberals. Rita Ashley has also been caught Lying about Her Democrat Votes & Not Living in the District

Investigation: Rita Ashley SBOE 7 Candidate Lying about Her Democrat Votes & Not Living in District in race VS. Conservative David Bradley
Attention Texas Conservatives:
All Conservative State Board of Education members are under attack by liberals and moderates in this Texas Primary Election 2012. We MUST fight back. The following article is just one example of the deception and attacks that conservative SBOE members are facing.
Is there something in the water over here? This is the second article I have written this week about a southeast Texas candidate lying. Just a couple of days ago, I posted this story: Please DON'T Re-elect Mike Hamilton He LIED to us! - Vote FOR James White State Representative - Early Vote NOW - Lumberton TX, Hardin, Polk, Tyler, Jasper and Newton Counties
Rita Ashley is lying about her Democrat votes and she is lying about living in Austin by saying that she lives in Beaumont. TX
Rita Ashley, who is running as a Republican for State Board of Education against Super Conservative SBOE member David Bradley, released a statement saying that the reason she voted in recent Democrat Primary elections is because she "voted for Allan Ritter who was a Conservative D and is now an R - he had a contested primary and there were no contested races in the R Primary."
I did a little investigating and discovered that her statement is completely false.
The truth is that Allan Ritter ran unopposed in the 2006 Democrat Primary Election. Rita Ashley said she only voted Democrat because "conservative" Democrat Allan Ritter had a contested race and there were no contested Republican races but this is factually incorrect. Rita Ashley LIED. Rita Ashley simply just wanted to vote Democrat and now she is telling people false information to try to paint herself as a conservative Republican.
Rita Ashley has also lied about where she lives. Rita Ashley has a nearly 1 Million dollar condo in Austin, TX. This condo has a homestead exemption which means it is Ashley's main residence. Rita Ashley's husband works in Austin. Rita Ashley works in Austin. Up until she filed to run for office, she had her voter registration in Austin, she had her Austin address as her driver's license address and her mail is currently still forwarded to Austin. She denies living in Austin though. She claims to live in Beaumont still. The address she claims to live at is a warehouse in an industrial district in downtown Beaumont. The warehouse is not even zoned as residential so she is not even allowed to live in that warehouse! The warehouse does have a section fixed up where someone could live, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that Rita Ashley's million dollar condo in Austin is her home where she has been living until she decided to run for SBOE.
Instead of being honest with the people of SBOE District 7, Rita Ashley has chosen to lie and be deceptive. That is not a quality I want in a person in charge of the educational standards for Texas.
Rita Ashley is a Moderate put up by liberals and moderate Republicans to run against Conservative Republican David Bradley. In fact, ALL Conservative SBOE members in Texas have moderates and liberals running against them.
Rita Ashley has recently teamed up with the liberal group Texas Freedom Network to attack Christian Conservative David Barton and accuse him of breaking the law simply for supporting David Bradley for re-election. David Bradley is the founder of Wallbuilders and the former Texas GOP Vice Chairman. Barton is one of the most trusted and respected Conservative Republican leaders in all of Texas. He is frequently seen on the Glenn Beck and Mike Huckabee shows. Why would Rita Ashley team up with TFM to attack him? TFN is an organization that seeks to push a liberal agenda in our public education. TFN was founded by Cecile, the daughter of former Democrat Governor Ann Richards. Cecile is now the president of national Planned Parenthood. TFN supported removing our Pledge of Allegiance from public schools and they advocate for homosexual marriage.
Rita Ashley is even absurdly sending out information saying that David Bradley is a liberal Democrat. This is ABSURD! There is NO dispute that David Bradley is THE MOST conservative leader on the SBOE. Liberal newspapers attack him for being so conservative. Conservative organizations praise him for being so conservative. It is universally accepted by EVERY liberal and conservative organization in Texas that David Bradley is conservative and not even close to being moderate. Bradley fought in this last term against the MANY attacks from liberals who were trying to force a liberal, anti-American agenda into Texas Public Education. Ashley tries to grab at straws and say that Bradley is for big government because Bradley thinks school districts like Beaumont ISD should be kept in check. BISD, a school, tried to build a hotel last year for crying out loud! Talk about waste at a time when school districts are saying they do not have enough money for education. They are an out of control school district and the SBOE is the Constitutionally elected group of people who are supposed to oversee education in Texas. Bradley is of course AGAINST, and has fought against Obama's federal big government intrusion into Texas public education.
Rita Ashley is being Supported by Liberals and Moderate Republicans. It is interesting that no conservatives or conservative organizations have come out supporting Rita Ashley. On the other hand, Rita Ashley is endorsed on her website by State Rep Allan Ritter, a moderate Republican who even voted against defunding planned parenthood and got only a 28% conservative rating by the Texas Eagle Forum. She is also endorsed on her website by SBOE member Bod Craig who is a liberal SBOE member who has fought against conservative Christian values and has voted with Democrats over 64% of the time on the SBOE.
A big reason why Rita Ashley was put up to run against David Bradley is because David Bradley and the conservative majority of the SBOE kept the Permanent School Fund from being raided and depleted. The Permanent School Fund is money that the State of Texas has to help the State pay for education. The SBOE uses this fund wisely so that there is still money in the account for all future years and growth. Many people wanted this fund to be raided last year. The conservative members of the SBOE stood against attempts to deplete this fund and protected it for future years while still giving a significant amount to education last year.
David Bradley is a Super Conservative. He is Endorsed by all top Conservative Republicans and Conservative Organizations.
These endorsements include Texas Alliance for Life, Texas Conservative Digest, David Barton, Texas Republican Assembly, Texas Right to Life, Young Conservatives of Texas, Texas Home School Coalition. He is endorsed by 4 conservative past and former SBOE chairmen and also endorsed by Republican Party of Texas past State Chairmen George W.
