U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz Statement on Immigration Reform Proposal

Hispanic Senator Ted Cruz won overwhelmingly in a state with a large Hispanic population. He has pleaded the Republicans can win Hispanics by sticking to conservative values and just communicating our values better to Hispanics. He has warned that we not try to compromise our values. The following statement is from Senator Cruz regarding the announced bipartisan Immigration Reform Proposal:

WASHINGTON, DC -- U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) issued the following statement regarding today’s bipartisan immigration reform proposal:

I appreciate the good work that senators in both parties have put into trying to fix our broken immigration system. There are some good elements in this proposal, especially increasing the resources and manpower to secure our border and also improving and streamlining legal immigration. However, I have deep concerns with the proposed path to citizenship. To allow those who came here illegally to be placed on such a path is both inconsistent with rule of law and profoundly unfair to the millions of legal immigrants who waited years, if not decades, to come to America legally.

Hispanic George P. Bush to Run for Texas Statewide Office (George W. Bush's Nephew)

George P. Bush is a Conservative Hispanic Texan. His father is Jeb Bush who is a former Florida Governor and brother of former U.S. President and Texas Governor George W. Bush. George P. Bush's mother was born in Mexico.

High profile conservative Hispanics are very sought after in the Republican Party because of the GOP's desire to attract Hispanic/Latino Voters, who are mostly conservative, to come over to the Republican Party.

Ted Cruz was recently elected to be a U.S. Senator from Texas and is already been thrown into the national spotlight.

If George P. Bush runs for statewide office in Texas, expect him to win and move up the ladder very quickly. The Republican Party is desperate for guys like him so that the Republican Party can show that our conservative values are welcoming to all people of all colors. It was the Republican Party after-all who freed the slaves and elected the first black officials. Over time though the Democrats have been able to lie and portray Republicans as a party for only white people. The Democrats give handouts to the minority communities to basically buy their favor. Those handouts only keep minorities down though. Republicans want to lift minorities up and not just give them free stuff, but teach then how to work their way up and become great and make a good living for their families. Republican Conservative values are values that are shared by all people of all colors.

It is not certain when George P. Bush is going to run for office, or what he will run for. One thing is certain though is that he has taken the first step. The Texas Tribune is reporting that George P. Bush has filed paperwork with the Texas Secretary of State appointing a campaign treasurer. This is the first step required for someone wanting to be a candidate for a Statewide office in Texas.

George P. Bush is 36 years old and is an Attorney. He is also a political consultant and a founding board member of the Hispanic Republicans of Texas Political Action Committee.

"Blacks for Obama" Racially Segregates Voters - Affirmative Action in Supreme Court

During Black History Month, Obama released a new video announcing the launch of BLACKS FOR OBAMA. (see video below)

This is an attempt to segregate voters based on RACE instead of voters joining together in groups based on VALUES. Minorities actually tend to be conservative in their beliefs and they are waking up to the realization that Obama is WAY TOO LIBERAL. So what do you do? You take the focus off of the values and you put the focus on race and drive a racial divide through the Heart of America.

Not only is it racist to segregate voters by race, it also shows how hypocritical things are in America.

Whites for Romney? Whites for Clinton? Whites for anyone White who wants to run for office? Of course those groups would never exist in America. That would be racist! But blacks for Obama is not racially dividing at all right? For the record, I would be against any groups (white, black, Hispanic) that are formed together solely on the basis of race instead of formed on the basis of values. I believe people should vote for someone based on the content of their character and not the color of their skin. I don't care if you are black, white, Hispanic or whatever. I will vote for you if you are a conservative and I will vote against you if you are a liberal. I fully support Ted Cruz for US Senate (Cuban) and one of my most favorite Texas State Representatives, and one of the most conservative Republican State Representatives in Texas, is State Representative James White (Black).

Racist Double Standards: No Outrage after Black DJ Racially Attacks Black Candidate - Racism Hypocrisy Needs to End

Hypocrisy and double standards are two of the biggest problems in America. I recently wrote an article about hypocrisy in America, "Hypocrisy: Obama Aides Owe Taxes; Military OK with Burning Church but not Koran? Killing Baby OK, Killing Cat Not?"

Racism Hypocrisy is also alive and well in America.

So much for Martin Luther King Jr.'s Dream of people being judged by their character instead of the color of their skin. I really wish we lived in a day and age when race was no longer involved in anything. No more race boxes to check. I really wish everything was color blind. I support State Representative James White, not be because he is black, but because he stands for conservative ideas. When I go to an Apostle Claver rally, it is not because he is black, but because he stands against Abortion (which is actually killing black people at a much higher rate than white people). I am voting for Ted Cruz for US Senate, not because he is Cuban, but because he stands for conservative values. When I voted against Obama and John Kerry, it is not because of the color of their skin, but because they had the wrong ideas for America.

Unfortunately, many people in America still do use race as a factor in decisions. Some white people do, some Hispanic people do, some black people do. It is wrong, period. The hypocrisy though is that America gets outraged when a white person does something that could be considered or is racist, but America does not seem to care at all when a black person is openly being racist.

It is this kind of hypocrisy and double standard that actually keeps racism alive and well in America instead of it being a thing of the past.

For instance, there was widespread outrage and calls for Don Imus to be fired after he said "nappy haired hoes" in reference to women players from Rutgers. Fast forward to today and a black DJ, Thaddeus Matthews, goes on a racial tirade against a black woman running for congress, Charlotte Bergmann. He called her a "Curly-Haired Nigga" and a "Token Negro" and then refused to shake her hand because he didn't want to get her "Whiteness" on him.

He is clearly a racist right? There should be calls for him to be fired right? Wrong! Why? Because the DJ is black.

You see, there is a double standard in America. In many cases, if you are black, it is ok to be racist and say offensive words about black people, and it is especially ok to be openly racist about white people. It is ok to have racist organizations that only allow black people but it would certainly not be ok to have an organization that excluded blacks. It is ok to have black entertainment channels and black only scholarships but would never be ok to have the same things only for white people.

Politics is especially racist and unequal. For instance, in Texas redistricting the minority groups are suing because they say Texas should create more districts just for black and Hispanics so they can elect someone who is only black or Hispanic. Can you imagine if a white group demanded that they get a district where only white people can live and only a white person can be elected? And the idea that only a black could represent a black and only a white can represent a white is simply outrageous. people should vote for someone based on what they believe, not simply based on the color of their skin. The Democrat organizations of course use race as an advantage in trying to sue Texas over redistricting. These Democrat organizations do not care about getting a black or Hispanic elected. They only care about getting a Democrat elected and they use race, well, because they can. There are actually black and Hispanic republicans that the Democrats have NO problem trying to hurt in Texas redistricting. Why? Because they only care about getting a Hispanic or black elected if they are Democrat. They don't actually care about minorities in general.

The fact of the matter is, minorities are actually mostly conservative in their beliefs and should abandon the liberal Democrat Party!

Hate Crime Laws are Especially Hypocritical and not enforced equally. Just recently there was a mob of blacks who attacked a white person and used racial slurs throughout the attack. They will not get charged with a hate crime. I can almost guarantee you though that if a gay person or a minority is attacked by a group of straight whites, it would automatically be considered as a hate crime even with no proof of racism. It is a double standard.

Hate Crime Laws are not logical either.

Murder is murder. Assault is Assault. Rape is Rape. I don’t care if you are a white guy who kills a black guy or if you are a black guy who killed a white guy. Murder is horrendous and wrong regardless of the color of one’s skin. It is wrong to say that one person’s life is more important than another person’s life simply based on the color of the murdered person’s skin. Hate crime legislation does just that. Hate crime legislation says that the rape and murder of a little girl is somehow less important or less hateful than the murder of a black man by a white man. Both of the murders killed someone and they both should be dealt with using the strongest penalties allowed. In my opinion, every murder is a hate crime.

We need to break down the walls of using race as a determining factor in America. Whether it is college admissions or a job application, race should never be a factor. Like Martin Luther King Jr. once said, people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. Having race as a determining factor in any area of government simply keeps racism alive.

Political Correctness plays a part in the problem. For instance, we call all black people African Americans. Fox News reports that many black people are actually opposed to being called African Americans. They just want to be called AMERICAN and their color is black. Africa has nothing to do with who they are. They want to move forward. They are Americans!

Let’s move past political correctness and seeing color in everything we do. Why can’t we be color blind and judge people by who they are and what they believe instead of the color of their skin? We especially should never vote for someone based on their color and not based on their beliefs and values!

Like Sen. Marco Rubio, Media Bashes Texas Hispanic Senate Candidate Ted Cruz over Cuban Ancestry

The Liberal Media is afraid of electable Republican minorities.

When Marco Rubio ran for U.S. Senate in Florida, the media and political establishment went on the attack. He was a tea party conservative Republican. That was bad news. The Democrat Party and the liberals went into a frenzy. After all, if these Hispanic Republicans keep getting elected then it will be hard for the Democrats to keep saying that they are the party for the minorities. It is only a matter of time until minorities all wake up and realize that they have conservative beliefs and the Republican Party is actually the Party for minorities. The Democrats just talk it.

Fresh off the heels of bashing Marco Rubio, the liberal press is now going after another rising conservative Republican Hispanic -- Ted Cruz for United States Senator from Texas. Cruz is getting Rubio’d

Cruz is gaining strong momentum in a Senate race few thought would be competitive. He has earned praise and endorsements from nationwide conservatives and has established a formidable grassroots network across Texas. He was featured in a recent National Review cover story, which called him "the next great conservative hope" and columnist George Will called him a candidate “as good as it gets.”

Cruz, like Rubio, is under attack from the press. In fact, the barbs are a transparent attempt to rehash the Rubio attack by going after Cruz’s father’s history of fleeing oppression in Cuba.

This time, the story is being peddled by the Dallas Morning News, which ran a feeble attack against Cruz. The gist of that story is that Cruz has “misled” Texas audiences about his father’s role in Cuba and his family’s subsequent escape.

The Dallas Morning News Retracted their Smear Attack the day after they ran it because they realized that, well, the attack WAS NOT INACCURATE.

You know a candidate actually has a chance to win when the media has to start making up stuff about the candidate’s father’s escape from oppressive Cuba. I guess they have nothing they can say about his rock solid conservative foundations so they go for the next best thing and they try to distract people by making people think that he is being dishonest about how his father escaped from Cuba.

  Cruz, the Dallas Morning News was forced to acknowledge, has been entirely candid about his father's heroic journey.  

The Dallas Morning News story attempted to tag Ted Cruz with a Marco Rubio problem, i.e. not having a perfect photographic memory of Castro-related events that in both Cruz’s and Rubio’s cases happened in Cuba before they were born. But where Rubio’s family memory doesn’t entirely square up with documentation, Cruz has no such problem. He has long included his family’s history in Cuba in his stump speeches, and it’s a remarkable history. His father, as a teenager, was part of the resistance against the dictator Batista. He was even imprisoned and tortured by the Batista regime. That puts him fighting on the same side as Fidel Castro’s forces, but in the years before Castro revealed his Communist beliefs to the world. Castro lied about his own Communist beliefs, both before and for a while after seizing power. The fight at the time, and in which Cruz’s father was involved, was against a brutal dictator. The tragedy of Cuba is that having offloaded one brutal tyrant, the island soon found itself in the grips of another and more ambitious one. Families like the Rubios and Cruzes ended up exiled from the land of their birth, and went on to make amazing lives for themselves and their children in the United States. Rubio is now a senator and on everyone’s short list to get on the presidential ticket, and facing a scurrilous attack from the likes of the Washington Post, while Cruz, the former solicitor general of Texas, is running to become one of Rubio’s Senate colleagues. And facing down a nasty attack as well.

But none of the Batista versus Castro war has very much to do directly with Ted Cruz, at least until the DMN‘s Bob Garrett ran his story attacking Cruz. But Garrett finds no actual instances of Cruz misleading anyone, about anything. The most damaging material he comes up with is that Cruz hasn’t mentioned his father’s history in appearances over the past couple of months, as if he’s obligated to recite his family history in every speech.

The Texas Democrats fear and dread the rise of a young, dynamic and conservative Hispanic Republican to the US Senate.

Like Rubio, some of these silly attacks against Cruz might be coming from within his own party. That is just too bad. This is a hotly contested Senate race and competition is to be expected, but let’s try to all stick to the facts and the issues.
