Judge allows Planned Parenthood Texas Funding Ban Starting Tomorrow Jan. 1st, 2013

Earlier this year, a Federal Judge upheld a law passed by the Texas Legislature to ban taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood abortion clinics. Texas decided that there were plenty of other women's health clinics that could be funded to provide women's services without having to give money to baby killing Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood did not stop when they got rejected at Federal court, so they tried to get a State Judge to order an injunction against the Planned Parenthood ban.

Looks like Planned Parenthood has lost again because the State Judge in the case has upheld the ban and will allow it to go into effect Jan 1st, 2013.

Judge allows ban on funds to Planned Parenthood

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - A Texas judge has ruled that the state may cut off funding to Planned Parenthood's family planning programs for poor women.

The attorney general's spokeswoman, Lauren Bean, said Judge Gary Harger has ruled that Texas may exclude otherwise qualified doctors and clinics from receiving state funding just because they advocate for abortion rights. The state has long banned the use of state funds for abortion.
