The race between State Rep. James White and State Rep. Mike "Tuffy" Hamilton is a vicious race. Both sides have been in attack most with over half a million to spend each. All kinds of things have been said about each others record.
Mike Hamilton just took it up a notch today. Hamilton went really dirty and just started calling people names at the polling location in Lumberton, TX.
I now understand why Hamilton got so many ethics violations and a dishonorable mention from Texas Monthly for unprofessional actions in the Texas House of Representatives.
Here is what happened:
As I stood by the road in Lumberton, TX holding a sign for James White, Hamilton pulled up to me and rolled down his window and said "you look gay standing out there, you look like a faggot."
Later in the day, as I walked back to the building from the road, a voter who knew me came up to me and told me that she wanted to let me know that she was standing by Mike Hamilton's tent and she overheard Hamilton bragging about how he rolled down his window and called me a fag. She said she was shocked that he would be bragging about something like that in public. She almost did not think it was even true until I told her that Hamilton indeed had done that!
Politics can get dirty but a State Representative JOE STRAUS COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN rolling down his window and calling someone a faggot is so completely unprofessional that it is just hard to even believe...
I am happily married with a baby boy on the way just so Hamilton knows....
I don't know if Mike will win, but James White is in the lead so far 56% to 44 % and I hope James White wins!

EXPOSED: Rep. Ritter Bribes Rep. Hamilton? Straus Chairmen give $100,000 to Defeat Rep. White Super Conservative
Texas State Representative Mike Hamilton's 8th day before election Campaign Finance Reports show that State Rep. Allan Ritter have given State Rep. Mike Hamilton at least $10,000. Click Here to see Mike Hamilton's Finance Report
After Redistricting, State Rep Mike Hamilton and State Rep Allan Ritter (both are moderate Straus Chairmen) were put in the same district together.
Mike Hamilton packed up and moved to Hardin County after redistricting but right before the election to run against Super Conservative State Rep. James White (White voted against Straus).
The question is, did Rep. Ritter bribe or pay off Mike Hamilton to get him to move to Hardin County so that Ritter and Hamilton do not have to face each other, and so that their leader Joe Straus would be happy because James White would have an opponent?
Straus is Behind Master Plan to Defeat Conservatives who Voted Against Him
Joe Straus has made good on his threat to hurt anyone on redistricting who voted against Straus. Most of the super conservatives in the Texas House of Representatives were hurt in redistricting. Especially in east Texas. Joe Straus had to tread lightly in redistricting with James White though because the DOJ and Republicans might have gotten suspicious if Straus would have redrawn James Whites district to hurt him or pair him (White is one of only 2 black republican State Reps and it a super conservative who got stellar conservative rankings from all conservative scorecards)
Because Straus did not want to openly attack a black, super conservative Republican, he devised a plan to secretly pair James White with one of his Chairman.
After redistricting, James White appeared to have his own district. He did not get paired with any other Republicans. Not so fast! Rep. Hamilton, a Straus Chairman, was going to have to face another Straus Chairman Rep. Ritter. Instead, Hamilton moved to Hardin County to run against White.
Are you telling me that Straus paired two of his Chairmen in redistricting, Ritter and Hamilton? Are you telling me that Straus did not know that Hamilton was going to move to Lumberton, TX to run against White? OF COURSE STRAUS KNEW! That was the Straus Plan. The plan was to pair two of his Chairmen together knowing full well that one of those chairmen was going to move to Hardin County to run against White. This plan allowed Straus to say he did not hurt Black State Rep. White in redistricting when in fact he actually did hurt White because he knew that his Chairman Hamilton was going to be moving to Hardin County which is in James White's new district.
Straus Chairmen funnel over $100,000 to Mike Hamilton's campaign to beat Conservative State Rep. James White
In the latest Campaign Finance Report, it was also discovered that many of the Chairmen for Straus have given over $100,000 to Hamilton's campaign. One of these Straus Chairmen contributing money to defeat James White is Rep. Larry Phillips. Rep. Phillips, you might remember, was the State Rep. accused of calling conservative State Reps. and telling them that they will be hurt in redistricting if they vote against Straus. White voted against Straus. See how everything fits together? It is all part of the plan....
Other Chairmen for Straus are also funneling money to fellow Chairman Hamilton in order to beat James White. Another of these Chairmen is Charlie Geren. Rep. Geren even gave $50,000 to Hamilton in just ONE check out of the many donations and loans that Hamilton has received from fellow Straus Lieutenants.
James White vs. Mike "Tuffy" Hamilton election is also about Casinos and Expanded Gambling
Straus has a HUGE personal financial interest in casinos and expanded gambling in Texas because of the racetracks that his family owns. Straus wants Casinos and expanded gambling so that he can make some extra money at the expense of gamblers who can't pay for food for the family because they have an addiction to gambling. One of his racetracks was even bought by a Las Vegas casino that has bet on cashing in once Straus gets the Texas Legislature to pass a casino and expanded gambling bill. The key to passing this bill is Straus Chairman Mike Hamilton.
State Rep. Mike Hamilton is chair of the licensing and regulations committee. This is the committee that a gambling bill would come out of. Of, what do you know, last session Hamilton WROTE a gambling/casino bill and did everything he could to try to pass it. He could not get enough votes so he killed the bill until next year.
Joe Straus NEEDS Hamilton to win to keep the hope alive of passing a Casino and Expanded Gambling bill.
Corrupt Murphy Turner Political Consultant Funded by Straus and working for Hamilton - Restraining Order Against Murphy Turner for Lies and Deception
Isn't it just coincidental that the Joe Straus supported Political Consultants are being used all across Texas in campaigns that attack and are trying to oust conservative Republicans?
Murphy Turner is so corrupt and deceptive in their campaigning that they even have had a restraining order issued against them. Apparently, Murphy Turner is trying to help their liberal and moderate candidates by starting a fake organization called "Texans for Fiscal Accountability." This fake organization has endorsed the bad candidates in an attempt to try to trick people into thinking that the real, legitimate "Texans for Fiscal Responsibility/Empower Texans" has endorsed these bad candidates when in fact "Texans for Fiscal Responsibility" actually opposes these bad guys. This deception caused a judge to issue a restraining order against Murphy Turner.
Murphy Turner is also sending out lies and deceptive material against James White. For instance, only flyer from Mike Hamilton says that Rep. James White was rated the second most liberal when in fact, James White is one of the TOP conservative Republicans in all of the legislature. All of the conservative organizations and even the liberal media acknowledge James White as a top conservative and NOT even close to being liberal.

Rep. Mike Hamilton Tax Liens, Sexual Harassment Allegations, and New Ethics Violations
Rep. Mike Hamilton Tax
Liens, Sexual Harassment Allegations, and New Ethics Violations
Texas Conservative
Republican News has received documents over the weekend revealing multiple Tax
Liens, judgments, fines and even sexual allegations against Mike “Tuffy”
Hamilton
- Hamilton allegedly
made sexually harassing comments in a Hearing to a female State Rep.
when he asked State Rep. Marisa Marquez if her mountains “breasts?”
were real or man-made.
- Mike Hamilton Tax Liens
for not paying Taxes (thousands of dollars)
-
Mike Hamilton Ethics Commission Judgments and thousands of dollars in fines
for misuse of funds
-
Complaints for using campaign funds to pay for luxury hotels in California and
lunch “meetings” at Hooters
- Mike Hamilton NEW Ethics Violations for not reporting money and
illegal billboards
- Hamilton demeans
fellow Lawmakers by referring to the ones he does not like as “Boys” and “Young
Ladies” instead of calling them by name or title
- Mike Hamilton has used his Taxpayer funded State Capitol office
as the location to have beer parties for young interns and lobbyists. He
calls it “Tuffy Tuesdays”
-
Allegations that Mike Hamilton turned down an offer to be on the important
Appropriations Committee because it would be “too much work” even though it
would have been beneficial to his constituents
The Gloves have Come
off in HD19 State Rep Election: Mike Hamilton Getting Desperate in race VS.
Super Conservative James White
These factual documents revealing Mike Hamilton’s vast
number of ethics problems were sent to Texas Conservative Republican News this
weekend following Mike Hamilton’s campaign falsely stating that James White had
resigned from his teaching job due to complaints. The media that originally
reported this allegation from Hamilton had to correct their articles after it
was revealed that Hamilton lied. The truth is that James White was not only given
a contract extension, but he was also given stellar year-end reviews. James
White only resigned from Livingston ISD after he was offered a teaching job at
Woodville ISD because WISD is much closer to his home in east Texas than LISD.
James White did have a complaint against him for including the Supreme Court Texas
Sodomy Case in his 12th grade class discussion of important Supreme
Court Decisions. The investigation that was closed quickly and James White went
on to get stellar reviews and a contract extension.
This is not the first
time Hamilton’s campaign has been caught lying. One flyer that Hamilton
sent out said that the Baker institute ranked White as the second most liberal
after every session White has been in. This was blatantly false. White has only
been in ONE session and the final 2011 session Baker Institute had White ranked
as a top Conservative and Mike Hamilton as being one of the bottom ranking
Republican conservatives. It was Hamilton who was actually ranked as the second
most liberal republican by the Baker institute following the 2009 session. Texans
for Fiscal Responsibility rated Tuffy only C+ fiscal conservative. Texas Eagle
Forum gave him a 32% social conservative score. Young Conservatives of Texas
gave him a 65% score. James White got a 92% Social Conservative Rating from
Texas Eagle Forum after the 2011 session and White got an A+ Fiscal
Conservative Rating from Texans for Fiscal Responsibility after the 2011
session. In that same flyer, Hamilton says that White moved into the district
to run for office. The truth is that White has been in East Texas for nearly a
decade. Two years ago White stepped up and ran and beat longtime Democrat State
Rep Jim McReynolds. White has been in office for one term and after
redistricting, Hardin County was put into his district. Mike Hamilton lost
Hardin County after redistricting. Mike Hamilton moved to Hardin County only a
FEW MONTHS ago to run against James White. Hamilton is the one who moved to run
for office, not James White.
Hamilton also lied to his constituents by directly telling
his conservative voters that he killed a casino gambling bill when Hamilton was
actually the person who wrote the bill and did everything he could to pass the
bill. The bill dies when Hamilton did not get the votes to move forward.
Mike Hamilton cannot combat his low conservative voting record,
liberal votes and multiple ethics violation judgments compared to James White’s super conservative rankings and record, so
Hamilton is attempting to confuse and distract voters.
Voters are
not happy about all this deception. The KBTV Fox 4 recently reported the
outrage from the Southeast Texas Tea Party after Hamilton backed out of a Tea
Party debate only days before the debate was to take place. I guess Hamilton
did not want to have to face the tough questions he would face in a debate with
super conservative James White.
Tax Lien Documents
These two documents
show that Hamilton did not pay his taxes and the State had to levy multiple tax
liens against Hamilton for thousands of dollars.

Alleged Sexual Harassment Comment
Documents
Attached is an El Paso Times News
article. This article was sent to me as evidence to an alleged sexually harassing
comment towards State Representative Marisa Marquez. This
article details a hearing about funds for the Franklin Mountains in El Paso.
The hearing was quick because the committee already knew they wanted to table
it. Mike Hamilton did have only one question for Democrat Rep. Marisa Marquez before they tabled the amendment. Hamilton asked
her if her mountains are real or man-made. Why would Mike Hamilton ask if these
nearly 8,000 foot high mountains that surround El Paso are “real or man-made?”
Hamilton is not stupid enough to think the Franklin Mountains are man-made…. He
might be stupid enough to joke around and take a inside-joke shot at this Rep. by asking if HER “mountains” are real or not…
Hamilton also only referred to this fellow State Rep. Marisa
Marquez as young lady instead of her name or title. This is the same demeaning
attitude he has towards State Rep James White. Hamilton commonly fails to call
James White by his name and instead refers to White as “boy”. Well Mr. Hamilton,
that “boy” James White is no boy. He was a Captain in the Army serving under
President Reagan and was even in Berlin when the wall came down.

Texas Ethics Commission Judgment and
Fine Documents
Hamilton was fined thousands of
dollars for using his Campaign money to pay his family members
Campaign Finance Report Documents
Show Misuse of Money
These documents show where Mike
Hamilton used his campaign funds to stay at a Luxury Resort in California and
also to have a “lunch meeting” at Hooters, a place known for
waitresses in tight shirts and short shorts.
Pictures and Documents of NEW Ethics
Violations
Mike
Hamilton is facing new Texas Ethics Violations and possible fines for putting
up several deceptive and illegal billboards up and also for not reporting
campaign funds and expenditures. The billboards (see picture) clearly do not
have the required disclaimer that this was a political advertisement. Hamilton
just wanted everyone in James White’s district to think that this was not a
political ad and Hamilton was just going to assume the position of being THEIR new
State Rep. Also, the campaign finance reports for “Friends of Mike Hamilton”
have $0 listed as Contributions and $0 listed as expenditures. This Hamilton
PAC has been listed as the one paying for Hamilton’s website, all of Hamilton’s
campaign mailers and tv attack ads. The Texas Ethics Commission Website shows
that several other Political Action Committees have reported given thousands of
dollars to friends of Mike Hamilton. Why has Hamilton’s group only reported
ZERO dollars for contributions and expenditures?

Tax Funded Resources on Beer Parties for Young Interns and Lobbyists

Mike Hamilton Lied About His Conservative Values
Please Do NOT Re-Elect Mike “Tuffy”
Hamilton
Over the years I have been fighting for conservative values in
Lumberton and Texas. I fought against tax increases in Lumberton. I fought
when Lumberton has gotten treated unfairly in the past even though we pay most
taxes and have high appraisals. I have fought against waste spending and I have
fought for morals and values in our schools and our government. I have fought
for the residents of Lumberton to be able to get important issues on the ballot
so that the people could vote and make their own decisions for the city instead
of being told what to do. I am not even elected to be on the State Republican
Executive Committee. We run govern and manage the Republican Party for the
entire state of Texas. We make million dollar decisions and stand for
conservative issues. I listen to the people and I stand for what is right and
never back down.
I am writing you today to plead with you to vote to re-elect Conservative Republican James
White for State Representative. Please DO NOT re-elect Mike “Tuffy” Hamilton

Mike Hamilton Lied About His Conservative Values
Please Do NOT Re-Elect Mike “Tuffy”
Hamilton
Hamilton wrote a bill
to bring Casinos and Expanded Gambling to East Texas and did
everything he could to try to pass the bill. Mike Hamilton then called me and
LIED to me when he told me that he was not in favor of Casinos or expanded
gambling. Hamilton knows that Texans have repeatedly rejected Casinos because
it is a tax on the poor and is not a good source to income to the state.
Hamilton tried to pass the bill because his
friend Liberal Joe Straus owns racetracks and stands to collect millions if
casinos are allowed in Texas. Straus gave Hamilton a chairman position so
in return Hamilton tried to pass a casino bill for Straus against even though
east Texans are against it. Hamilton voted FOR liberal Joe
Straus to be Speaker of the House after he told us he would not vote
for him. Joe Straus has a history of being in favor of Planned Parenthood
ABORTION, GAY COUPLE ADOPTION, Straus has campaigned for liberal democrats to
beat conservative Republicans. Straus Stood against Texans and sided with
the TSA being allowed to touch our private parts. Straus was even elected as
Speaker by the DEMOCRATS. Straus got ALL the democrats and just a few
Republicans to vote for him and that is how he was elected Speaker.
Hamilton was one of
ONLY 3 Republicans to vote AGAINST Windstorm Insurance Reform.
Hamilton voted against reforming windstorm insurance which would have
devastated windstorm insurance. In voting against Lawsuit Reform, Hamilton
sided with the Obama supporting lawyers who want to make millions.
Mike Hamilton voted to
give Illegal Aliens Driver’s Licenses Representative Hamilton
even voted against providing law enforcement officers with the necessary
training to stop illegal immigration.
Mike Hamilton has beer parties at his State Capitol Office for young
interns and Lobbyists. He calls it “Tuffy Tuesdays.” He uses
taxpayer resources to do this. He then gets tens of thousands of dollars from
beer company lobbyists and PACS. Hamilton has been fined for Multiple
Ethics Violations and has used campaign resources to go on luxury
vacations, $100 lunches at hooters, and even illegally paying
his family. Hamilton has even had Tax Liens for Not Paying Taxes
Mike Hamilton was rated 2nd MOST LIBERAL Republican
by Baker Institute after his 2009 session. Hamilton has also been given failing
conservative scores after 2011 session by ALL of the top Christian and
Conservative organizations. Texans
for Fiscal Responsibility rated Tuffy only C+ fiscal conservative. Texas Eagle
Forum gave him a 32% social conservative score. Young Conservatives of Texas
gave him a 65% score, etc. Hamilton is absurdly trying to say that
White is the liberal, but voting records and Conservative Ratings prove White
is Super Conservative. Hamilton tried to
get rid of common sense welfare reform that had been around since 2003 and he
voted against a bill designed to crack down on people who cheat taxpayers on
unemployment benefits.
Mike Hamilton moved to Lumberton to run against Conservative James White.
Mike Hamilton moved to Lumberton only a few months ago. After redistricting,
Hardin County was put into State Rep. James White’s new district. Hamilton
lived in Orange but he did not want to run against liberal Allan Ritter (Ritter
even voted to give Planned Parenthood tax dollars)Hamilton is better than
Ritter, but instead of running against liberal Ritter, Hamilton decided to move
to Lumberton
When I was just a child, James White was an Army Captain in Berlin serving under Ronald Reagan.
White was even in Berlin when the wall came down. He moved to east Texas in
2005 as a teacher with a small cattle operation. In 2010, White stood up and ran against longtime Democrat State Rep.
Jim McReynolds. James White beat this Democrat. As a Republican State Rep, James White was a conservative rock star
in the 2011 session. White is rated by all conservative and Christian
organizations as one of the top conservatives in all of TX! White is 100% Pro Life and James White has
been fighting Obama on many issues. White even testified in favor of
building the Keystone XL Pipeline to bring us Jobs!
Governor Rick Perry has Endorsed James
White to Win
TX Attorney General Greg Abbott has also endorsed James White Greg Abbott is one of the most
trusted and respected Conservatives in Texas. Abbott has been fighting Obama in
the U.S. Supreme Court
James White got a 92% Social
Conservative Rating from Texas Eagle Forum after the 2011 session
James White got an
A+ Fiscal Conservative Rating from Texans for Fiscal Responsibility after
the 2011 session
James White has also been endorsed by
TX Comptroller Susan Combs, Cathie Adams of Texas Eagle Forum, Texas Right To Life, National Rifle Association,
Texas State Rifle Association, Young Conservatives of Texas, Heritage Alliance,
Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, State Senator Dan Patrick, Texas Home School Coalition, the Texas
Conservative Digest, Texans Uniting for Reform and Freedom, Texas Tea Party, Texas Forestry Association, Texans for Lawsuit Reform
also Vote to Re-Elect David Bradley
for State Board of Education www.BradleyforTexas.com David Bradley
is our super conservative SBOE member. Bradley has stood for Christian
Conservative Values in our School Education and he is rated as the top
conservative leader on the SBOE. When the liberals wanted to change the
textbooks to remove patriotism, capitalism, replace founding fathers with
socialist activists, and deplete the education fund, Bradley stood against it. The liberals do not like Bradley so they
are running Rita Ashley against Bradley. Rita Ashley has a record of
voting Democrat, is supported by liberals and she does not even live in this SBOE
District. She lives in Austin! She has been caught lying about all of this
and has not even come clean. KEEP DAVID BRADLEY

Peter Morrison: Don't Re-Elect Mike Hamilton - A Plea to Hardin County Conservatives - Vote James White
The following letter is from Peter Morrison of Lumberton, TX
Peter explains why Conservatives in Hardin County should vote for Conservative State Representative James White instead of Mike Hamilton in the House District 19 May 29 2012 Republican Primary Election
Peter explains why Conservatives in Hardin County should vote for Conservative State Representative James White instead of Mike Hamilton in the House District 19 May 29 2012 Republican Primary Election
A Plea to Fellow Hardin County Conservatives;
Please Don't Re-Elect Mike Hamilton
My name is Peter Morrison and I am a conservative activist
here in Lumberton, Texas. Among other things,
I publish an email newsletter, The Peter Morrison Report
(www.PeterMorrisonReport.com), with thousands
of subscribers across the state. I also serve as Treasurer
of the Hardin County Republican Party and
formerly served on the Lumberton ISD School Board from 2007-2010, where I helped spearhead the effort to defeat an unnecessary $28 million school bond that would
have increased our property taxes by 24%.
I am sending you this message asking you to not vote for
incumbent State Rep. Mike Hamilton in the
upcoming Republican Primary on May 29th. Instead, I am
asking all true conservatives to vote for the true
conservative in the race, State Rep. James White. First,
some background:
Why Do We Have Two Incumbents Running Against Each Other?
James White currently represents the neighboring House
district to our north, whereas Mike Hamilton
represents parts of Orange, Hardin and Newton counties. Last
session, you may recall that there was a big
controversy over the reelection of liberal Rep. Joe Straus as
Speaker of the Texas House. This all started in
the 2009 session when eleven liberal Republicans got
together with the Democrats to elect a liberal
Republican Speaker, Joe Straus. Obamamania in 2008 had
reduced the Republican majority to one seat in
2009, and Joe Straus and his liberal Republican cronies used
the opportunity to put themselves in power.
In 2009, hardly any conservative legislation was passed as
Straus and his cronies killed bill after bill that
conservatives supported, including many dealing with illegal
immigration.
In 2010, after people saw what Obama was all about, Republicans
came roaring back, winning their largest
majority in history, 101 seats and over two thirds of the
Texas House. Conservatives were thrilled and
thought they could finally get rid of Joe Straus as Speaker,
who after all was mostly elected by the
Democrats. They called, wrote, emailed and generally begged
the Republican delegation to oust Straus.
Unfortunately, most of the Republicans revealed themselves to
be cowards, with only 15 brave souls voting
with their constituents against Straus. The cowards were
afraid the Speaker would retaliate against them,
taking away the pork they brought home to their districts or
even worse, redrawing their districts to put
them out of office. Mike Hamilton was one of the cowards who
voted for Straus. James White was one
of the brave 15 who stood with conservatives. Only 10% of
Texans are fortunate enough to be represented
by one of these 15 state reps. We are lucky to have the
opportunity to have a strong conservative like
James White represent us in Austin.
This is why they are running against each other. Straus'
buddies redrew James White's district to overlap
with Mike's and are now supporting Hamilton as the hatchet
man to run a good conservative out of office.
The linchpin of this strategy is Mike's assumption that
Hardin County will overwhelmingly vote for him
since he is the incumbent of the old district.
My hope is that Hardin County will give Mike an unpleasant
surprise on Election Day because he has a
history of betraying the conservative cause, not the least
of which is his support of Joe Straus.
Mike Hamilton Picked This Fight
Up until a few months ago Mike Hamilton lived in
Mauriceville. Had he stayed put, he could have ran
against Allan Ritter, a liberal Republican who now represents
parts of Jefferson and Orange counties. Ritter
is a lifelong liberal Democrat who switched to Republican in
2010 to prevent the Tea Party from kicking
him out of office. Instead of running against this fake
Republican, Mike Hamilton chose to move to
Lumberton and run against James White, whose district now
includes Hardin County but also his home
in Tyler County
Mike Hamilton's Sorry Record and Deceitful Behavior
Over the years I have attempted to communicate with Rep.
Hamilton about some of the issues with his
voting record. For example, Mike Hamilton Voted to give
driver's licenses to illegal aliens. When I
confronted him about this vote, he claimed that he was just Voting
to make them carry insurance. I went
and read the Texas House Journal, and it clearly was a vote for illegal aliens to get driver's
licenses and
mentioned nothing about
insurance. It was supported by the Cheap Labor Lobby and Mike was one of the
liberal Republicans who supported it. constituent while serving the special
interests.
Similarly, Hamilton told me in a phone conversation in late
2010 that he would not vote for Joe Straus as Speaker, and then he turned around and voted for him. When I
tried to call him back about it, he wouldn't
take my calls. This is not the behavior of a principled
conservative.
The major conservative groups confirm this in their
legislative ratings. Mike Hamilton has a C+ grade
from Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, while Rep. White has
an A+ rating and was named a 2011 Texas Taxpayer Champion. Socially conservative group Eagle Forum
gives Mike Hamilton a 32%
conservative rating, while Rep. White earned a 92%.
The choice before us could not be clearer. Please join me in
supporting James White for State
Representative in the May 29th Republican Primary.
Sincerely,
Pol. Adv. paid for by Peter Morrison,

P.S. - If we keep reelecting people who sell out our
conservative principles, nothing is ever going to change for the better. Please take time to examine the issues and hold
public officials like l\/like Hamilton accountable. I've spent quite a bit of time talking with James White, and I can tell
you he is a true grassroots conservative. Hardin County values will be better represented in Austin by conservative
Rep. James White than liberal Mike Hamilton.

Governor Perry and Top Texas Conservative Groups Endorse Black State Rep James White over Mike Tuffy Hamilton in HD 19 Republican Primary Election

The Governor of Texas, along with other high ranking Republican officials, will be stopping by Southeast Texas soon. They will be coming here to endorse State Representative James White in his re-election big to the Texas House of Representatives against Mike Hamilton in the HD 19 Primary Race which includes Hardin County, Polk County, Tyler County, Jasper County and Newton County. Texas Comptroller Susan Combs has already endorsed James White.
James White is one of the few minority (black) elected officials in the Texas Legislature. That is not why he is getting so much support though. James White is getting so much support because he was a “rock star conservative” in his first term as a Republican State Representative.
James White looks young and possibly not set in his conservative values, but the truth is that he is older than he looks and he is well grounded in his conservative Republican principles. Think about this, James White was an Army officer who served in Berlin under President Ronald Reagan and James White was even in Berlin when the Berlin Wall came down. He is now a rancher, a teacher and an East Texas Conservative Republican State Representative.
He got into the Texas Legislature by challenging and beating long time East Texas Democrat State Representative Jim McReynolds. He did not stop there though. He pushed forward and boldly stood for Conservative Christian values during his entire first term. When many State Representatives went along with the establishment and voted Yes to Joe Straus as Speaker of the House, James White stood up and voted no. Joe Straus is a RINO Speaker of the House. He was elected to be the speaker by the Democrats. Straus has been supported by Planned Parenthood and he has even funded and supported Democrats to beat Republicans. Voting against Joe Straus was the first conservative vote by James White, but it was not his last.
James White finished the legislative session with one of the top Conservative voting records out of all of the State Representatives in Texas. He was not a representative that goes to Austin and then you rarely hear about what he is doing because he blends in with the crowd. James White made waves and stood strong for conservative values against the establishment and he will continue to do so.
James White has garnered impressive top
Conservative Voting Scores and/or endorsements from all of the most trusted
conservative organizations in Texas, such as Texas Right to Life (http://www.texasrighttolife.com/legislators.asp),
the Texas Eagle Forum (http://texaseagle.org/legislative-scorecard/2011-scorecard.html),
the Heritage Alliance (http://www.heritagealliance.com/tcr/tcrhome.php),
Texans for Fiscal Responsibility (http://www.empowertexans.com/2011-fri-taxpayer-champions/),
and the Young Conservatives of Texas (http://www.yct.org/wp-content/uploads/ratings/YCT_82nd_Session_Ratings.pdf).
Mike Hamilton has told me that the reason Susan Combs is endorsing James White is because Bob Perry (a wealthy Texas home builder) and Texans for Lawsuit Reform have given large contributions to both Susan Combs and James White. Hamilton asked me to look into that and post it on my blog. To be fair to Hamilton, I did look into that connection. What I found is that Bob Perry and TLR both contribute to most Republicans in Texas. In fact, Mike Hamilton has received well over $80,000 from Bob Perry and also large amounts from TLR. The idea that Susan Combs is endorsing James White based on contributions from Bob Perry or TLR is something I do not think is right because Bob Perry and TLR have also contributed tens of thousands to Mike Hamilton too.
I am a little upset that Mike Hamilton and James White are facing each other. Mike Hamilton is not a bad guy. I have had some issues with Mike Hamilton over the years like when Hamilton recently authored a bill to try to bring casinos to Texas and when he voted for Straus to be Speaker of the House (Straus gets his family money from gambling businesses and would greatly benefit from Casinos in Texas). Overall though, Mike Hamilton is a decent guy whom I have known for some time. He is not as good of a conservative or as willing to stand up and be outspoken as James White though. I don't like to play politics or vote for someone because they are my friend or because they have been in office for a long time. I always vote for the best guy and the best guy in this race is James White. That is why I have also made my final decision to endorse James White for State Rep over Mike Hamilton. I have no ill will towards Mike Hamilton. I think Joe Straus is using Mike Hamilton. Joe Straus is attempting to oust Conservative Republican James White by putting Hardin County into James White's new district. Joe Straus knew that Mike Hamilton (one of the Chairmen under Straus) was planning to move from Orange County to Hardin County after redistricting. Straus wanted to try to get James White out of the legislature so Straus put James White in the same district as Mike Hamilton. Mike Hamilton ultimately was the one to make the decision to move to Hardin County to face James White. Hamilton could have stayed in Orange County and would have run against State Rep Allan Ritter. Ritter is only 50% conservative and there are even Democrats with a higher conservative rating that Ritter. Hamilton would have easily been the better conservative in a race against Ritter and I would have campaigned hard for Hamilton to beat Ritter. I wish Hamilton would have stayed in Orange County. Hamilton did not decide to stay in Orange County though. Hamilton decided to move to Hardin County and face Super Conservative Republican James White. That was a bad move because James White is the better, more exciting Conservative Republican.
I, along with Governor Perry, other Statewide leaders, and the top Conservative and Republican organizations in Texas, have or are going to endorse and support State Representative James White in the Texas House District 19 Republican Primary Election on May 29th, 2012
Sincerely,
David Bellow

Joe Straus Attacks Conservatives: Raising Money to Defeat Republican Incumbent James White
Joe Straus (Texas Speaker of House) is OPENLY launching an all out attack to oust one of our most conservative State Representatives, James White. Straus is holding a fundraiser in Austin this week to raise money to defeat Republican Incumbent James White.
I do not support James White based on the fact that he is one of the few Black Republican state leaders. I do not vote based on race. I support James White because he is one of our most Conservative State Representatives! White was already hurt in redistricting (along with many other conservatives who Straus did not like) and now Straus is openly campaigning against him. WHY?? It might have something to do with James White beating long time Democrat Jim McReynolds (a Straus Chairman) in the 2010 election. Also, a new Texas Tribune poll shows that Rick Santorum is going to win Texas by a landslide. Straus responds by endorsing Mitt Romney.
Note: I have no ill-will towards Mike Hamilton. Hamilton has been my State Rep for some time now. I wish Hamilton would not have moved. I wish Hamilton would have stayed where he was at and he would have run against moderate State Rep. Allan Ritter. I would have supported Hamilton over Ritter. Instead, Hamilton decided to play politics with redistricting and move to another county to run against Super Conservative James White. I do not vote based on who my friends are or who has been my State Rep for the last decade. I vote based on who the best candidate is. Between Hamilton and White, White is more conservative hands down. White has my vote. Also, it is now clear to me that Hamilton is being supported by Straus because Hamilton tried to push a gambling bill for Straus in the last legislative session. This is very disappointing...

Is Tea Partier State Rep James White Under Assault From His Own Party?
Looks like most of the strongest conservatives in the Texas House of Representatives got hurt in redistricting even though we have a super majority "conservative" republican stronghold...... how sad

Mike Hamilton Kills Texas Gambling Bills
update: I have recently gotten an email with links to newspapers with quotes from Mike Hamilton. Mike Hamilton has told the papers that he is pushing to pass an expanded gambling and casino bill. I am upset that Hamilton lied to me and told me that he killed the bill for us when in fact he just did not get enough votes for the bill....
previous story:
Mike Hamilton Kills Gambling Bills
I previously sent out emails asking everyone to call State Representative Mike Hamilton and express their disappointment in him for supporting a bill that would expand gambling in Texas (something that goes against the Republican Party and the Governor would veto it)
I am happy to say that your calls and emails worked! Thanks for all of your hard work in teaming together and helping stop these bills. I talked to Mike Hamilton this week and he told me that he killed all the gambling bills in his licensing committee!
Thank you Mike Hamilton for listening to the majority in your district who do not want expanded gambling in Texas! Like Rick Perry told me, if it was so great then Nevada would be doing great financially, but they aren’t!
I believe there are some other gambling related bills still in play that were not in Mike Hamilton's committee so keep up the good work everyone!
