An Army master sergeant was punished after he hosted a promotion party and served Chick-fil-A sandwiches in honor of the Defense of Marriage Act.

The unidentified soldier was investigated, reprimanded, threatened with judicial action and given a bad efficiency report, according to the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty.
“They say he is no longer a team player and was not performing up to standards,” Chaplain Alliance Executive Director Ron Crews told Fox News. “This is just one little example of a case of a soldier just wanting to express his views and now he’s been jumped on by the military.”
Army Public Affairs issued the following statement: ”With respect to the political activities, soldiers are expected to carry out their obligations as citizens in accordance with applicable regulations. The Army cannot comment on ongoing investigations or administrative actions.”
The soldier’s story was included in a letter to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights documenting concerns about attacks on religious liberty within the Armed Services.
Last summer the soldier had received his promotion to master sergeant. The promotion coincided with a national controversy surrounding Chick-fil-A’s support of traditional marriage. Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy told a newspaper that he was “guilty as charged” when it came to supporting the biblical definition of marriage. Gay rights advocates were infuriated and some Democratic leaders – most notably the mayor of Boston – attempted to stop the popular restaurant chain from opening restaurants in their cities.
Crews said the soldier decided to hold a party to celebrate his new position. The invitations read, “In honor of my promotion and in honor of the Defense of Marriage Act, I’m serving Chick-fil-A sandwiches at my promotion party.”
After the party, the solider received a letter of reprimand. Crews said at issue was the combination of the sandwiches and the soldier’s support of DOMA (which happens to be the law of the land).
“There was initially some talk of bringing judicial punishment against him,” Crews said. “He had a letter put in his file and an investigation was initiated to see if he had violated any policy.”
The solider reached out to the Chaplain Alliance for help and they put him in touch with an attorney. Crews said nearly one year later – the soldier is still embroiled in a legal battle.
“He was at the pinnacle of his career,” Crews said. “To make that rank means you’ve done very well throughout your career. He wants to finish serving his time honorably.”
Crews said stories like this are becoming commonplace in the military post-repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.
“These stories are the ones that have not been told – about some of the more subtle ramifications of the repeal of the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy,” he said.
One service member received a severe reprimand for expressing his faith’s religious position about homosexuality in a personal religious blog.
A chaplain was relieved of his command over a military chapel because he could not allow same-sex weddings to take place in the chapel.
And a chaplain who asked senior military officers whether religious liberty would be protected in the wake of the repeal of the law against open homosexual behavior in the military was told to “get in line” or resign.
Crews said they are sharing these stories to let other service members know there is a place to get help. He said Chaplain Alliance publishes a religious liberty palm card – explaining constitutionally protected liberties to service members.
“If you believe your religious liberties have been violated, here’s what you can do,” he said. “We will see that you get the help that you need.”
As for the soldier who served the Chick-fil-A sandwiches?
“We’re going to stand with this soldier who did nothing wrong,” “There is nothing wrong in saying he wants to celebrate DOMA – which happens to be federal law.

Hobby Lobby CEO Stands up Against Obama's Anti-Christian and Job Killing Obamacare Mandates
Go shop at Hobby Lobby to show your support just like we showed support for Chick Fil A!
Column: Christian companies can't bow to sinful mandate
Column: Christian companies can't bow to sinful mandate
By David Green
When my family and I started our company 40 years ago, we were working out of a garage on a $600 bank loan, assembling miniature picture frames. Our first retail store wasn't much bigger than most people's living rooms, but we had faith that we would succeed if we lived and worked according to God's word. From there, Hobby Lobby has become one of the nation's largest arts and crafts retailers, with more than 500 locations in 41 states. Our children grew up into fine business leaders, and today we run Hobby Lobby together, as a family.
We're Christians, and we run our business on Christian principles. I've always said that the first two goals of our business are (1) to run our business in harmony with God's laws, and (2) to focus on people more than money. And that's what we've tried to do. We close early so our employees can see their families at night. We keep our stores closed on Sundays, one of the week's biggest shopping days, so that our workers and their families can enjoy a day of rest. We believe that it is by God's grace that Hobby Lobby has endured, and he has blessed us and our employees. We've not only added jobs in a weak economy, we've raised wages for the past four years in a row. Our full-time employees start at 80% above minimum wage.
But now, our government threatens to change all of that. A new government healthcare mandate says that our family business must provide what I believe are abortion-causing drugs as part of our health insurance. Being Christians, we don't pay for drugs that might cause abortions. Which means that we don't cover emergency contraception, the morning-after pill or the week-after pill. We believe doing so might end a life after the moment of conception, something that is contrary to our most important beliefs. It goes against the Biblical principles on which we have run this company since day one. If we refuse to comply, we could face $1.3 million per day in government fines.
Our government threatens to fine job creators in a bad economy. Our government threatens to fine a company that's raised wages four years running. Our government threatens to fine a family for running its business according to its beliefs. It's not right.
I know people will say we ought to follow the rules; that it's the same for everybody. But that's not true. The government has exempted thousands of companies from this mandate, for reasons of convenience or cost. But it won't exempt them for reasons of religious belief. So, Hobby Lobby — and my family — are forced to make a choice. With great reluctance, we filed a lawsuit today, represented by the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, asking a federal court to stop this mandate before it hurts our business. We don't like to go running into court, but we no longer have a choice. We believe people are more important than the bottom line and that honoring God is more important than turning a profit.
My family has lived the American dream. We want to continue growing our company and providing great jobs for thousands of employees, but the government is going to make that much more difficult. The government is forcing us to choose between following our faith and following the law. I say that's a choice no American — and no American business — should have to make.
David Green is the CEO and founder of Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc.
The government cannot force you to follow laws that go against your fundamental religious beliefs. They have exempted thousands of companies (friends of Obama) but will not except Christian organizations including the Catholic church.
Just remember this in November !

Shooting at Family Research Council - Shooter Opposed Chick-Fil-A & FRC's Pro-Life Pro-Family Agenda
UPDATE:
The shooter is a liberal activist who had been volunteering at a community center for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people (LGBT), according to the Associated Press. The Gunman is identified as Floyd Lee Corkins II and the guard is identified as Leo Johnson.
UPDATE:
The Shooter was also targeting the Traditional Values Coalition, according to TVC President Andrea Lafferty who says their office address was on a paper in the gunman's pocket.
A hero guard was shot today as he stopped a gunman from entering the Family Research Council in Washington DC. The shooting is being investigated as an act of domestic terrorism. Family Research Council is a Christian, conservative based organization. Fox News reports that witnesses say the shooter was speaking out against the Family Research Council's Pro-Life, Pro-Family agenda as he tried to enter the building. A security Guard stopped the shooter to ask where he was going and that is when the security guard was shot. Thankfully, the guard fought back, even after being shot, and was able to wrestle the shooter to the ground and took the gun. Witnesses say that after the shooter was subdued, the shooter told the guard, "it was not about you, it was about what this place stands for." The shooter was allegedly even carrying a Chick-Fil-A bag as he tried to enter the building.
According to Media Research Center, Tony Perkins, the President of FRC, was an outspoken defender of Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy’s public stand against same-sex marriage, which made the fast-food chain a flashpoint in the nation’s culture wars. The Cathy family foundation has funded the Family Research Council.
‘‘He’s taking a bold stand,’’ Perkins said after Cathy’s comments were reported. ‘‘Chick-fil-A is a Bible-based, Christian-based business who treats their employees well. They have been attacked in the past about their stand. But they refuse to budge on this matter, and I commend them for what they are doing.’’
Family Research Council has been involved in protecting traditional marriage nationwide and fighting against the killing of unborn babies. FRC recently supported and promoted the Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day. I was one of the many people who waited in line to get a chicken sandwich at Chick-Fil-A to support free speech and support traditional marriage. It was a record breaking day for Chick-Fil-A. Those opposed to Chick-Fil-A and Christian, conservative values must have been very upset to see that that most Americans support family values. Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day brought thousands of supporters to EACH Chick-Fil-A all across America. The anti-Family, Pro-Abortion, Pro-Homosexual Marriage supporters were only able to get very few supporters to show up to protests "kiss ins" at few Chick-Fil-A locations in America.
It seems as though this shooting was motivated by hate and anger by a man who does not like the Christian, conservative beliefs of FRC or Chick-Fil-A. It does not help that this hate was likely fueled by liberals and Democrats who got on national TV and illegally and unconstitutionally threatened to use their government power to kick Chick-Fil-A out of their cities because of the personal Christian beliefs of the owner of Chick-Fil-A. These liberals call for tolerance of other people's beliefs, unless you are a Christian and then they don't seem to believe your beliefs should not be tolerated. They go past just not tolerating Christian beliefs though. Can you imagine a mayor saying that no businesses would be allowed to open in his city if the business was owned by a gay person? There would be national outrage! And yet, the liberal media did not seem outraged that mayors in cities like Boston and Chicago openly stated that they would prevent a business (Chick-Fil-A) from opening in their cities because the owner has Christian beliefs.
What a sad day in America.
Even as I post this article, the liberal New York Times has the articles about this shooting at the bottom of the news section under the title "More News." Higher up on the NY Times front page, under the main news section, they have a much more breaking news article titled: Gay Male Stand-Up Comics Await Spotlight

Federal Judge Rules "No Constitutional Right to Gay Marriage" Upholds Gay Marriage Voter Ban
Don't believe the Lies, most Americans support Traditional Marriage between a man and a woman. Most States have even voted to pass a constitutional ban on gay marriage, including California! (See list of states who have voted to protect traditional marriage below)
Below is an email I got recently with information regarding a Federal Judge upholding traditional marriage. Yes, even federal Judges are supporting traditional marriage even though the liberal media does not publicize it.
From Brian Brown of National Organization for Marriage:
Federal Judge: No Right to Gay Marriage! NOM Marriage News, August 9, 2012
Thursday, August 9, 2012
Dear Marriage Supporter,
After a week dominated by the Chick-fil-A grassroots support movement there is more goodnews for marriage that you will never hear on the nightly news. Earlier this week another federal judge rejected the claim that there is aconstitutional right to gay marriage!
A same-sex couple tried to get Hawaii's marriage laws struck down on the grounds that they are allegedly irrational and rooted in bias towards gay people.
Hawaii, you will recall, was the original seat of the litigation wars seeking to impose gay marriage upon theAmerican people. The population of the blue state of Hawaii responded in 1998 by overwhelmingly passing (69 percent to 29 percent) the very firstmarriage amendment, clarifying that the legislature has the right to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman.
Now a federal judge has affirmed the right of the people of Hawaii to make that determination—and in the process rejected theargument that marriage is rooted in bias or bigotry:
"Throughout history and societies, marriage has been connected with procreation and childrearing.... It follows that it is not beyond rational speculation to conclude that fundamentally altering the definition of marriage to include same-sex unions might result in undermining the societal understanding of the link between marriage, procreation, and family structure."
"In this situation," the court continued, "to suddenly constitutionalize the issue of same-sex marriage 'would short-circuit' the legislative actions that have been taking place inHawaii."
Bottom line: "Because Hawaii's marriage laws are rationally related to legitimate government interests, they do not violate the federal Constitution."
The majority of courts, as well as the majority of citizens, recognize that our marriage laws are not rooted inhatred towards gay people or anyone else! I wish more gay marriage advocates could see this.

Chick Fil A's PACKED! America Rallies for Free Speech & Traditional Marriage!
Liberal intolerant idiots. They cry out for tolerance but they turn around and are intolerant to Christians. They woke a sleeping giant. Here is a picture from the Chick Fil A in Beaumont, TX. The line is wrapped around OUTSIDE of the building! This is just the BEGINNING of the line! Not to mention the line of over 50 cars in the drive thru! The local media was frustrated because they wanted to interview both sides but they could not find even one person here opposing Chick Fil A!

Eat Chick Fil A TOMORROW: Support Free Speech and Traditional Marriage
Tomorrow is Eat At Chick Fil A Day!
Hundreds of thousands of people will go support Chick Fil A Tomorrow, August 1st, 2012.
They will be going to Chick Fil A to support Freedom of Speech and also Support Christian Values and Belief in Traditional Marriage.
This Chick Fil A day that Mike Huckabee called in response to liberals and the mainstream media attacking Chick Fil A and even calling for them to be banned from their cities simply because the owner of Chick Fil A, Dan Cathy, has come out in support of traditional marriage.
Would a city be able to ban a restaurant from building in their city simply because the owner is gay or because he says he supports gay marriage? of course not! It would be discriminatory and the liberals would sue and would say that we are intolerant. They would say that everyone has the right to believe what they want and that everyone should have freedom of expression and speech. they would say that everyone should have the right to be who they want to be and think what they want to think.
That is what they SAY
The Truth is, THESE LIBERALS WHO DEFEND GAY MARRIAGE ACTIVIST in the name of tolerance and freedom of expression ARE THE WORST OFFENDERS OF BEING INTOLERANT AND TRAMPLING ON FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION AND SPEECH.
Mayor Thomas Menino told the Boston Herald he would not allow the $4 billion-a-year business to open in his city. And Rahm Emanuel, the mayor of Chicago said, of his efforts to block the food chain, “Chick-fil-A’s values are not Chicago values. They’re not respectful of our residents, our neighbors and our family members.”
This is RIDICULOUS! Chick Fila is very good for the community and America. They offer a great place to work with a safe, friendly environment for customers and workers. They give out TONS of free food to the community and have family events. They are even closed on Sunday They want their employees to spend time with their families. In a day where every business is concerned about making money and not concerned about people, Chick Fil A is concerned about people. they still make money too! Chick Fil A proves that you can stand up for Christian values and care about people and communities and still have a successful business.
These liberals call for tolerance of beliefs and cry for freedom of expression and yet they turn around and do not tolerate or allow freedom of speech if you don't believe in homosexual marriage. They not only do not tolerate you if you believe in traditional marriage between a man and a woman, but they will persecute you for your beliefs and try to punish you unless you believe their way.
This is not just about this gay marriage issue either. This is about every issue that the left stands up for. They say they just want tolerance of their beliefs, but the reality is they do not want us to just tolerate their liberal beliefs, they want to force us to believe them and follow them.
We MUST stand up and defend Freedom of Speech!
