US Army defines Christian ministry as 'domestic hate group'

Several dozen U.S. Army active duty and reserve troops were told last week that the American Family Association, a well-respected Christian ministry, should be classified as a domestic hate group because the group advocates for traditional family values.
The briefing was held at Camp Shelby in Mississippi and listed the AFA alongside domestic hate groups like the Ku Klux Klan, Neo-Nazis, the Black Panthers and the Nation of Islam.
A soldier who attended the briefing contacted me and sent me a photograph of a slide show presentation that listed AFA as a domestic hate group. Under the AFA headline is a photograph of Westboro Baptist Church preacher Fred Phelps holding a sign reading “No special law for f***.”
American Family Association has absolutely no affiliation with the controversial church group known for picketing the funerals of American servicemembers.

It looks like the Obama administration is separating the military from the American people.

“I had to show Americans what our soldiers are now being taught,” said the soldier who asked not to be identified. “I couldn’t just let this one pass.”
The soldier said a chaplain interrupted the briefing and challenged the instructor’s assertion that AFA is a hate group.
“The instructor said AFA could be considered a hate group because they don’t like gays,” the soldier told me. “

Liberal New York Times editorial board says Obama administration has 'lost all credibility'

The New York Times editorial board, which twice endorsed President Obama and has championed many planks of his agenda, on Thursday turned on the president over the government's mass collection of phone data -- saying the administration has "lost all credibility."
The grey lady's editorial section lately has shown frustration with the administration's civil liberties record. It has criticized the escalation of the lethal drone program, and it lashed out after the Justice Department acknowledged seizing reporters' phone records last month.
The report that the National Security Agency has been collecting phone records from millions of Verizon subscribers appeared to be the last straw.
An editorial published late Thursday said the administration was using the "same platitude" it uses in every case of overreach -- that "terrorists are a real menace and you should just trust us."
The editorial continued: "Those reassurances have never been persuasive -- whether on secret warrants to scoop up a news agency's phone records or secret orders to kill an American suspected of terrorism -- especially coming from a president who once promised transparency and accountability. The administration has now lost all credibility."
The New York Times, overnight, amended the last line to say: "The administration has now lost all credibility on this issue."
The editorial board claimed Obama "is proving the truism that the executive will use any power it is given and very likely abuse it."
The language was a far cry from the Times' Oct. 23, 2008, endorsement of then-candidate Obama. At the time, the Times praised Obama's "cool head and sound judgment," and said he was "putting real flesh on his early promises of hope and change."
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle voiced concern on Thursday about the records collection effort. It was first reported by The Guardian newspaper, which obtained a copy of a secret court order allowing the government to collect phone call information - though not monitor the calls themselves -- directly from Verizon. Civil liberties-conscious lawmakers like Sen. Mark Udall, D-Colo., and Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., cried foul, as did the American Civil Liberties Union.

Video shows workers offering 'Obamaphones' to those vowing to sell them -- for drugs

A Republican senator renewed his criticism of a government-backed program that hands out cell phones after an undercover video showed vendors helping people obtain the phones even after saying they wanted to sell them for drugs and other items.
The video was released by conservative activist James O'Keefe and his group Project Veritas. It claimed to show undercover investigators visiting Philadelphia locations for phone vendor Stand Up Wireless and locations for one other company.
In one exchange, the investigator -- posing as someone who wants a free phone -- asks if the phone will belong to him after he gets it.
"Whatever you want to do with it," the worker says.
The investigator floats the possibility of getting "money for heroin." The employee responds: "Hey, I don't judge."
Global Connection Inc. of America, the parent company for Stand Up Wireless, has already taken disciplinary action against the employees in question.
"Any employee involved has already been terminated," CEO Dave Skogen told FoxNews.com.
But Sen. David Vitter, R-La., who has long been critical of the phone hand-out program -- which was dubbed the "Obamaphone" during the 2012 campaign -- slammed the initiative in light of the video.
"The free government cell phones issue just keeps getting more outrageous," Vitter said in a statement. "This phone program has expanded far beyond its original intent, and having Washington force people to pay for free cell phones for others is offensive enough, but the waste, fraud and abuse is beyond words."
Vitter has previously, and unsuccessfully, pushed legislation to strip funding for cell phones under the Lifeline program. He wants the program to focus only on landline services.
The 22-minute Project Veritas video showed undercover activists going to several locations and asking about the phones. It's unclear how many locations they ultimately visited before recording the exchanges shown in the video.
In one exchange, which apparently happened in May, a Stand Up Wireless vendor told the activist that the phone would belong to him if he got it.
The activist then asked the worker about the phone's value. The worker recommended going to "any pawn shop. They'll be more than happy to tell you."
"So I could get the phone and then sell it?" he said.
"Yeah -- I don't care what you do with it," the worker replied.
The program was originally launched under the Reagan administration to help poor people have access to phones for emergencies, job searches and other vital communications. The program is funded by charges that appear on the monthly bills of every phone customer in the country.
The cost of the program, though, has tripled to $2.2 billion in 2012 from $819 million in 2008, when cell phones were added. The risk of abuse has also risen.

Massachusetts Students Who Refuse to Affirm Transgender Classmates Face Punishment

Parents across Massachusetts are upset over new rules that would not only allow transgender students to use their restrooms of their choice – but would also punish students who refuse to affirm or support their transgender classmates.

Last week the Massachusetts Department of Education issued directives for handling transgender students – including allowing them to use the bathrooms of their choice or to play on sports teams that correspond to the gender with which they identify.
The 11-page directive also urged schools to eliminate gender-based clothing and gender-based activities – like having boys and girls line up separately to leave the classroom.
Schools will now be required to accept a student’s gender identity on face value.
“A student who says she is a girl and wishes to be regarded that way throughout the school day and throughout every, or almost every, other area of her life, should be respected and treated like a girl,” the guidelines stipulate.
According to the Dept. of Education, transgender students are those whose assigned birth sex does not match their “internalized sense of their gender.”
They said gender nonconforming students “range in the ways in which they identify as male, female, some combination of both, or neither.”

“The responsibility for determining a student’s gender identity rests with the student,” the guidelines dictate. “One’s gender identity is an innate, largely inflexible characteristic of each individual’s personality that is generally established by age four…As a result, the person best situated to determine a student’s gender identity is that student himself or herself.”
The new rules would also prevent teachers and administrators from telling parents with which gender their child identifies.
“School personnel should speak with the student first before discussing a student’s gender nonconformity or transgender status with the student’s parent or guardian,” the directive states.
The guidelines were issued at the request of the state board of education to help schools follow the 2011 anti-discrimination law protecting transgender students.
“These students, because of widespread misunderstanding and lack of knowledge about their lives, are at a higher risk for peer ostracism, victimization, and bullying, the document read.
The Massachusetts Family Institute denounced the new rules calling them a violation of privacy.
“Fundamentally, boys need to be using the boys’ room and girls need to be using the girls’ rooms, and we base that on their anatomical sex, not some sort of internalized gender identity,” said Andrew Beckwith, the institute’s general counsel.
Beckwith told Fox News the new policy has a “very broad standard that is ripe for abuse.”
“The policy allows students to have one gender identity at home and another at school,” he said. “And it refuses to let teachers and administrators tell parents what gender their child is at school.”
Another part of the directive that troubles parents deals with students who might feel comfortable having someone of the opposite sex in their locker room or bathroom.
The state takes those students to task – noting their discomfort “is not a reason to deny access to the transgender student.”
And any student who refuses to refer to a transgendered student by the name or sex they identify with could face punishment.
For example – a fifth grade girl might feel uncomfortable using the restroom if there is an eighth grade transgendered boy in the next stall.
Under the state guidelines, the girl would have no recourse, Beckwith said.
“And if the girl continued to complain she could be subjected to discipline for not affirming that student’s gender identity choice,” he told Fox News.
“It should not be tolerated and can be grounds for student discipline,” the directive states.

A black pro-life coalition had its Twitter account shut down after they announced plans on the social networking site to protest the NAACP.

“Twitter shut us down,” said Stephen Broden, a spokesman for the National Black Prolife Coalition and Dallas-area pastor.
Their trouble started on Jan. 28 when Leroy Dodd, the group’s social media manager, sent out a tweet promoting the demonstration against the NAACP at the Image Awards.
“We sent out our first tweet at 9:17 a.m.,” he told Fox News. “Eight tweets later we were shut down.”
Dodd said he received a message from Twitter advising him that he had been suspended.
“I had to acknowledge I had been reported and I needed to change my behavior,” Dodd said.
He complied and the suspension was lifted – but when he put out another tweet accusing the NAACP of betraying the black community – the account was shut down again.
“By that evening we were completely suspended and we remained suspended for several days,” he said.
The suspension was finally lifted but only after the day of their planned protest had passed.
“We suspected that would happen,” Dodd said.
Neither Twitter or the NAACP responded to calls for comment.
“This is nothing new,” Dodd told Fox News. “It’s becoming popular with liberals and liberal organizations to report conservatives – a way to silence opposition.”
The administrator of the  Rocky Mountain Black Conservative Facebook page received a 30-day suspension several days ago. No reason was given.
And over the past several weeks a number of high profile conservative Facebook pages have either been shut down or threatened with suspension. An administrator for the Chicks on the Right Facebook page was briefly banned for criticizing the White House.
Pastor Broden said it’s a form of censorship.
“It negates our ability to communicate with our audience or to the general public about our positions,” he told Fox News.
Broden said social networking is especially important to black conservative groups because he said they typically get ignored by the national media.
“We are ignored not only by liberal media – but I’d say conservative media ignores us as well,” he said. “Our point of view, particularly as it relates to what’s going on in the black community is not being heard.”
They accuse the NAACP of failing to represent the best interests of the black community – especially their ties to Planned Parenthood – which the pastor accused of “targeting the black community” by trying to control the population through abortion.
“They have failed to protect the black family,” Broden said.
Broden said it’s time for conservative media to start covering the stories of conservative blacks.
“Until we get the kind of coverage and our voice is heard, we will always be seen by the media as a monolith,” he said. “And we are not a monolith. There are a number of us out there who have an alternative point of view.”

Texas congressman, Reagan AG warn of impeachment if Obama moves on guns

A Texas congressman vowed to try to impeach President Obama if he moves ahead with plans to control guns by executive order and onetime U.S. Attorney General Ed Meese says it is not far-fetched.

Rep. Steve Stockman, a Republican from the Houston area, called Obama's plans to skirt Congress and implement some controls administratively "an unconstitutional and unconscionable attack on the very founding principles of this republic." He also threatened to defund the White House.
"I will seek to thwart this action by any means necessary, including but not limited to eliminating funding for implementation, defunding the White House, and even filing articles of impeachment," Stockman said.

Meese, who was the nation's top law enforcement officer in the Reagan administration, told Newsmax Stockman would have support for such a move - and a good case.

“It would not be legal. It would not be constitutional,” Meese said. “And, indeed, if he tried to override the Second Amendment in any way, I believe it would be an impeachable offense.

“An executive order without specific congressional authority can only apply to those portions of the government that are under his control — in their words, the executive branch. Now, there are some things he can probably do in regard to the actions of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, or some other governmental agency in its operations.

“But to impose burdens or regulations that affect society generally, he would have to have Congressional authorization,” Meese added.

I'm grateful to Fox News Channel anchor Shannon Bream for having me on the air this afternoon to talk about the moral and spiritual dimensions of the Newtown massacre. These are not topics that have been discussed much in the media despite wall-to-wall coverage of the tragedy since Friday. We didn't have time for a full, in-depth conversation, but we got it started. Here are some of the points I made in the interview, as well as some points I would have made had we had more time:

The slaughter of 20 children and numerous teachers and other adults at the Sandy Hook Elementary was horrifying beyond belief -- yet what makes it worse is that it isn't an isolated incident.

• America is experiencing an epidemic of violence and lawlessness -- so far in 2012, we've seen 18 mass murder events in the U.S., and the year isn't over.
• Just last night, another deranged individual fired 50 bullets from a handgun in Newport Beach, California, reported the Los Angeles Times, though fortunately no one was injured or killed, and thus another tragedy was mercifully averted.
• Yes, violent crime has been subsiding in recent years (and that's good), but the violent crime rate in America is twice what it was in 1960, according to FBI stats (there were 160.9 violent crimes per 100,000 people in 1960, compared to 403.6 violent crimes per 100,000 people in 2010)
• More than 1.2 million violent crimes are committed in the U.S. annually, according to the FBI.
• More than 14,000 murders are committed in the U.S. every year
• Add to all this, there are more than 1.2 million abortions every year -- innocent children murdered in their mother's womb.

Why is all this happening? In large part because we are engaged in moral and spiritual disarmament.

• Some Americans are actively driving the God of the Bible out of their lives, out of their families.
• Some Americans are actively trying to drive the God of the Bible out of our schools, our courts, our media, and out of America all together......

Judge Says Kountze Students ALLOWED to Hold Religious Signs. Restraining Order by Judge Steve Thomas

Texas State District Judge Steve Thomas has granted a temporary restraining order that will allow students at Kountze School Football games to hold religious signs for the next 2 weeks pending an October 4th, 2012 Hearing.

Regardless of the outcome of the hearing, there will be a big rally at the next Kountze Lions Home Game Oct. 5th, 2012. We will have signs and t-shirts supporting these kids and supporting their rights.

Kountze ISD Superintendent Kevin Weldon got some bad advice from Texas Association of School Boards and Weldon BANNED students from even making their own personal signs with Bible verses to hold at football games after receiving an anonymous complaint.

It did not take long for the community to take a stand against this Superintendent's decision. A facebook group Support Kountze Kids Faith got 30,000 members overnight and local political leaders like Congressman Steve Stockman and State Rep James White spoke out in support of these students. Now the issue has become a national one with Todd Starnes (Fox News Radio), and other national media outlets covering the issue today.

Beaumont Lawyer David Starnes has teamed up with Liberty Institute Lawyer Michael Johnson to represent these kids. The Liberty Institute is national organizations that defends unconstitutional actions against Christians. The Liberty Institute has win 99% of their cases. Johnson says that student led religious activities using student personal resources are permitted in schools. Johnson says that many people forget the second part of the First Amendment that says Congress Shall Make No Law Prohibiting The Free Exercise Of Religion.

Judge Thomas made a very good decision to err on the side of these students' religious rights until a hearing on the matter.

This is why it is important to support good Judges. I knew Steve Thomas was a great guy so I supported him to be appointed as Judge. When the election came around, there was no one I would have voted for to be District Judge over Steve Thomas. Judge Thomas is a great guy who is very knowledgeable and fair. It is good to see that voting in good judges, even locally, can have a huge impact.

Governor Rick Perry wisely appointed Steve Thomas to be the State District Judge over Hardin County following the death of Judge Plunk. Thomas had run for the position as a Republican just a couple years early and nearly unseated the long-time Democrat Judge Plunk, so it was an easy decision to pick Steve Thomas to fill in as Judge until the next election. The primary elections are over and Steve Thomas ran unopposed in the Primary and will be unopposed in the general election so he will retain his seat as a now elected State Judge.

Texas Dad Kills Man Caught Molesting Child

A dad in Texas found his daughter getting molested by a man. There will not be a trial or jury because the dad killed the man while trying to protect his daughter. No charges are expected to be filed. If the man who was killed is anything but white I am sure we will be hearing from some crazy race baiters who will claim the man was killed because of racism instead of him molesting a little girl. nothing surprises me nowadays....

TX School Sued for Prohibiting 3rd Grader from Inviting Friend to Church - Nederland ISD

Ok this is just ridiculous,

Nederland ISD has been sued by the alliance defense fund who is representing Michael Metcalf, the father of a 3rd grade student at Hillcrest Elementary School who was prohibited from giving a classmate friend and invitation to go to church with him.

This is a constitutional free speech violation and it appears that the only reason the child was barred from passing out the card was due to the fact that it was a Christian card.

Where does the school think they can prohibit a student from inviting a fellow student to a church event after school hours and off of school grounds? The school doesn't prohibit kids from passing out other invitations like birthday party invitations.

We are not talking about a teacher trying to persuade a kid to believe in one religion over another. We are talking about a student asking another student to go to church with him. If the parent does not want the kid to go to church then the parent can say no.

Banning a student from inviting another student to an out of school church event is especially silly because students can start a Christian club and have a Christian meeting AT A SCHOOL as long as it is not during class time. I remember going to a student led Lumberton Raiders for Christ meeting before school every week, and we even got to invite fellow students to go!

This school is way out of line with their politically correct mentality that has led to a constitutional free speech violation by banning this kid from asking another kid to go to church with him.'

Maybe there is something in the water in southeast Texas because within a year I have posted articles about 2 other schools that have had incidents where a student or teacher was treated unfairly based on their Christian or political beliefs.

Just yesterday I posted that Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott Abbott was Appealing an Austin Judge's Ruling to Block Planned Parenthood Tax Funding Ban. This meant that Texas would be forced to give tax money to baby killers, or shut down the Women's Health Program entirely.

GREG ABBOTT WON!

Gregg Abbott worked fast and within 24 hours, he got the 5th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals to overturn this Austin Judges decision to block the ban. This means that Texas can keep withholding tax money from baby killer abortion providers like Planned Parenthood.

A federal appeals court has blocked an order by a federal judge in Austin, Texas, to resume funding Planned Parenthood.


Texas' legislature voted last year to block use of tax dollars for medical services for poor women for any organization associated with abortion -- meaning Planned Parenthood lost funding. On Monday, U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel, a George W. Bush appointee, ordered the state to resume funding Planned Parenthood, saying there is sufficient evidence that the law banning the abortion-provider from the state's Women's Health Program is unconstitutional.

But Joe Poyman of the Texas Alliance for Life tells OneNewsNow the state appealed that order and won.
"The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has just intervened and stayed that judge's order," he informs, "and the policy now will go into effect -- meaning that as of today, May 1, the Medicaid Women's Health Program dollars will not go to Planned Parenthood."

Judge Yaekel's order involved $17 million a year that had been going to the abortion provider for such services as mammograms. Planned Parenthood has no mammogram machines and only refers women to facilities that do.

"But this recent development from the Fifth Circuit is very encouraging and, I think, gives the state more time to present our arguments, which I think are strong and persuasive," states Poyman. "Basically our dollars should not be mixed with Planned Parenthood's advocacy and providing of abortions."

The Fifth Circuit's order remains in effect pending outcome of the case.

TX AG Abbott Appeals Austin Judge Blocking Planned Parenthood Tax Funding Ban

According to Fox News, an Austin, TX Federal Judge, U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel, wants to force Texas to use our tax dollars to fund Planned Parenthood whose majority of clinics provide abortions and kill unborn babies.

Thankfully, according to My FOX DFW, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott is standing up for the people of Texas and is appealing this injunction.

If Texas is forced to give tax dollar funds to a company whose clinics provide abortions then Texas will just shut down the Women's Program. You see, Planned Parenthood, the liberals, and even Obama care more about funding Planned Parenthood and killing babies than they care about keeping a women's health service available for women to be able to get help at places that do not provide abortions.

Gay "It Gets Better" Anti-Bullying Speaker Outed for Bullying Christian KIDS

If Obama and all these liberal groups supporting "It Gets Better" want to really stand up against bullying then they should stand up and tell the world that what Dan Savage did by bullying these Christian KIDS is wrong.

Let me be clear, this following story from Todd Starnes of Fox News about Dan Savage of "It Gets Better" Bullying Christian kids is just another example of persecution and hypocrisy that Christians face in America.

Worldwide now and throughout history, Christians are killed and bullied on a mass scale for believing in Jesus. Bullying because of homosexuality does not even get measured on the same scale as the persecution that Christians face. Soon America will be added to the list of countries where Christians are persecuted simply for believing in something that the liberals do not like.

These liberals with pro homosexual agendas say they are against bullying, unless you are a Christian and then it is ok to bully you.

They do not just want tolerance, they want acceptance and for their actions to be labeled as normal.

They call for everyone to be tolerant of different beliefs (specifically homosexuality), unless you are a Christian and it is ok to be intolerant towards your Christian beliefs.

They call for an end to hate, unless you do not approve of homosexuality, and then is ok to hate you.

They use freedom of speech and expression but turn around and deny that right to Christians.
They glorify thug, criminal football players but demonize Tim Tebow for praying during football games

If Obama and all these liberal groups supporting "It Gets Better" want to really stand up against bullying then they should stand up and tell the world that what Dan Savage did by bullying these Christian KIDS is wrong.

They won't though. Because that's the road America is headed down. The road where pastors will be arrested for hate speech simply because they preach the truths of the Bible. The road where Christians will be persecuted by people claiming to be against persecution.

Anti-Bullying Speaker Curses Christian Teens

As many as 100 high school students walked out of a national journalism conference after an anti-bullying speaker began cursing, attacked the Bible and reportedly called those who refused to listen to his rant “pansy asses.”
The speaker was Dan Savage, founder of the “It Gets Better” project, an anti-bullying campaign that has reached more than 40 million viewers with contributors ranging from President Obama to Hollywood stars. Savage also writes a sex advice column called “Savage Love.”
Savage, and his husband, were also guests at the White House for President Obama’s 2011 LGBT Pride Month reception. He was also invited to a White House anti-bullying conference.

Savage was supposed to be delivering a speech about anti-bullying at the National High School Journalism Conference sponsored by the Journalism Education Association and the National Scholastic Press Association. But it turned into an episode of Christian-bashing.
Rick Tuttle, the journalism advisor for Sutter Union High School in California, was among several thousand people in the audience. He said they thought the speech was one thing – but it turned into something else.
“I thought this would be about anti-bullying,” Tuttle told Fox news. “It turned into a pointed attack on Christian beliefs.”
Tuttle said a number of his students were offended by Savage’s remarks – and some decided to leave the auditorium.
“It became hostile,” he said. “It felt hostile as we were sitting in the audience – especially towards Christians who espouse beliefs that he was literally taking on.”
Tuttle said the speech was laced with vulgarities and “sexual innuendo not appropriate for this age group.” At one point, he said Savage told the teenagers about how good his partner looked in a speedo.
The conservative website CitizenLink was the first to report about the controversy. They interviewed a 17-year-old girl who was one of students who walked out of the auditorium.
“The first thing he told the audience was, ‘I hope you’re all using birth control,’” she told CitizenLink. “he said there are people using the Bible as an excuse for gay bullying, because it says in Leviticus and Romans that being gay is wrong. Right after that, he said we can ignore all the (expletive deleted) in the Bible.”
As the teenagers were walking out, Tuttle said that Savage heckled them and called them “pansy asses.”

The executive director of the National Scholastic Press Association provided Fox News with joint statement from the Journalism Education Association that was sent to members – after a number of people complained about Savage’s remarks.
“We appreciate the level of thoughtfulness and deliberation regarding Dan Savage’s keynote address,” the NSPA wrote. “some audience members who felt hurt by his words and tone decided to leave in the middle of his speech, and to this, we want to make our point very clear: While as a journalist it’s important to be able to listen to speech that offends you, these students and advisers had simply reached their tolerance level for what they were willing to hear.”
The NSPA said they did not have a prior transcript of Savage’s speech and that wish “he had stayed more on target for the audience of teen journalists.” They also said it provided a “teachable moment” for students.
As for Savage’s attack on people of faith?
“While some of his earlier comments were so strongly worded that they shook some of our audience members, it is never the intent of JEA or NSPA to let students get hurt during their time at our conventions,” they wrote.
However, not once did the NSPA or the JEA offer any apologies to the students or faculty advisors or anyone else in attendance.
Candi Cushman, who writes a blog on CitizenLink, noted the irony.
“Using profanity to deride the bible – and then mocking the Christian students after they left the room — is obviously a form of bullying and name-calling,” she wrote. “This illustrates perfectly what we’ve been saying all along: Too many times in the name of ‘tolerance,’ Christian students find their faith being openly mocked and belittled in educational environments.”
Tuttle said that he “felt duped” by the event. “There were Christian schools who went to the conference. To have this happen was disappointing and shocking.”
And for some of his students – they felt like the anti-bullying activist was in fact – the bully.
The NSPA said they should have done a better job preparing schools for what to expect.

Rick Perry has a very clear message in ad: “I’ll End Obama’s War on Religion and I’ll Fight against Liberal Attacks on our Religious Heritage”

This ad will greatly help Rick Perry. Now that many of the early bumps in the primary are over, voters will start to look at the records and experience of candidates to determine who they will vote for. This is where Perry will shine because of his strong conservative record. The ad does not attack any fellow Republicans. The ad is focused directly on President Obama. The ad deals with an issue (the War on Religion) that has really caused Christian Conservatives to stand up and fight back against Obama’s radical agenda. Christian American’s are tired of seeing special interest groups get special rights and privileges while the rights and privileges of Christians are being taken away. Obama has done everything from restricting prayer at soldier’s funerals and restricting bible verses in the Air Force to refusing to follow the Constitution by upholding the laws passed by Congress like the Defense of Marriage Act.

Earlier this year, Rick Perry led a Prayer Rally in Houston, TX called “The Response.” This is something that the Founding Fathers of America would likely have also attended.

Violent Mexican Drug Cartels Target Texas School Children for Gangs, Drugs and Death

The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued a public warning. Drug Cartels are recruiting Texas kids to join their violent gangs and to traffic drugs and even be beaten to death.

Children have been found beaten to death by these Drug Cartels. This past year, in JUST ONE TEXAS COUNTY, 25 Texas Kids were arrested for drug trafficking. Just last month, 2 Texas teens were kidnapped, beaten and ransomed.

When will the Obama Administration open up their eyes? The Border is NOT SAFE.

Tens of thousands are being killed by these Drug Cartels and many of those murders are happening right here in America by the drug cartels and gangs that have set up shop right here on our own soil.

Lumberton Teacher Chastises 6th Grade Students for Watching Fox News Instead of CNN

In Late May 2011, I was contacted by a parent who told me a troubling story of finding out that her daughter’s 6th grade classmates were being chastised for watching Fox News (see what the teacher said below). The School is Lumberton ISD in Lumberton, TX and the teacher is Karen Talbert who teaches Science Class. Upon learning this information, I wanted to make certain that this information was correct before going forward. I talked to fellow teachers of Karen Talbert who told me that Mrs. Talbert was a nice lady who was not shy about expressing her political opinions. I believe that she is a nice lady and I believe that it is perfectly fine to express one’s opinion, but is it appropriate to express your personal political opinions as fact to impressionable 6th grade students? My next step was to meet with the family. They are a nice family who seem genuinely concerned that their daughter is being told by a teacher which news stations to watch. The most troubling part is that these parents almost did not know what happened in their daughter’s class. That is the problem with a leftist agenda in schools. It mostly goes undetected because the students believe their teachers tell them only right things so there is no reason for them to run home and tell their parents what their teacher said in school. When I met the parents of this 6th grade girl, the mother sat down and wrote out the following statement about the incident:

“One night last week we were all sitting at the dinner table and our daughter asked “is Fox News the national news?” We said yes and asked why. She told us that her teacher told the class that Fox News was bad and that they should only watch CNN. Our daughter is 12 years old in 6th grade at Lumberton intermediate School. Her teacher who is telling the class this is Mrs. Karen Talbert, a 6th grade science teacher. We started to tell our daughter that this was not right of her teacher and that she should not listen to the teacher’s personal views. Our daughter then told us about the time that one of her classmates was talking to another classmate and she made the comment “Fox News said that Obama was not making good decisions.” Our daughter then told us that Mrs. Talbert went up to this girl’s desk and put her hand down on the desk and started yelling at her about how Fox News doesn’t know what they are talking about and they never tell the whole story so if you want good news and the right news you need to watch CNN. Our daughter said the classmate looked like she was going to cry because the teacher was getting so upset. As a parent, I am not concerned what news station someone else watches. My concern is that a teacher should not be giving her personal political views to students. They get enough bad influences as it is and they don’t need it from teachers too”

That statement is straight from the mother of one of the little girls in this Science Class.

It is not surprising that there are liberal teachers in this conservative community of Lumberton, TX. It was only a couple years ago that I passed out an American flag to every house in Lumberton on the anniversary of 9/11. The flag came with a flyer promoting conservative values. I was not very surprised that I got an email from someone who was not happy. This person said she was a liberal and said I was wrong and that she will pray to Mother Mary to have her son Jesus help us conservatives make it through this Democratic Rule. The thing that surprised me though was that this person signed this letter as “Michelle Champagne Junior English and World History Teacher”. As you can see, this person did not sign her letter as a concerned citizen. She signed her letter as a high school teacher. I certainly would question what kind of a slant that she has in her history lessons.

We wonder why there is such a strong movement in Texas towards Homeschooling and Private Schools. It is because parents do not want their children indoctrinated by a leftist agenda in Textbooks or even by liberal teachers themselves, such as this Lumberton ISD teacher chastising students for watching Fox News.

Public Schools are a double edged sword. On one hand you want to send your kids there to learn. On the other hand it is horrifying to see the immoral and violent environment that children have to be in at many public schools. It was just in the last few months that Mansfield ISD was exposed for mandating Arabic Culture training, or how about the incident at Seagoville ISD (Dallas, TX) where the teacher watched a bully beat up another student and did not even call for help, or how about when a school like in Lumberton ISD performs a play with vulgar language and that talked about minors putting ads online to get laid, or how about when parents are selective in the negative influences their children are exposed to and then their child gets on the school bus and the music is blaring songs that glorify sex and violence. I remember a couple of years ago my little brother was humming a very inappropriate song that he did not even know what the words meant in the song. I asked where he learned that song and he told me on the school bus. Most schools, like Lumberton ISD, have radios on the busses and there are no restrictions to what is played to the students of all ages riding on the bus.

I could go on and on about the immoral and violent environment of many public schools, but you get the point already.

I am very concerned about the negative and inappropriate environment that children are forced to be in at Public Schools. I hope this story of a Lumberton ISD teacher telling children that Fox News is bad will open up the eyes of parents so that the parents will start asking more questions and demand that schools do a better job of creating a safe and neutral environment for their children.
