Protests/Boycotts for George Lopez show 1/10/20 after Tweet offering to Assassinate President Trump

Rallies, Boycotts and Protests are just part of the reaction waiting for George Lopez when he comes to Beaumont, TX tomorrow 1/10/2020. This is in response to George Lopez having tweeted that he would assassinate President Trump for half the bounty that Iran was offering. Also, does the Constitution protect this kind of speech? Yes and No.
Following President Trump’s military operation to take out Iranian terrorist Qasem Soleimani, who was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans, Comedian/Actor George Lopez responded on twitter in reference to the bounty put on United States of America President Donald J. Trump. The response from George Lopez was “We’ll do it for half.” see picture of tweet below
George Lopez promoting, agreeing and accepting an offer to kill the President of the United States is appalling and possibly criminal, and the backlash to George Lopez was swift. In fact, as fate would have it, George Lopez has a show this Friday night right here in southeast Texas. In the past couple of days, local news feeds have been flooded with local businesses and residents calling for a boycott of the show. Screenshots of all of these reactions and planned rallies and boycotts are posted below. One local businessman Rustin Guarnere posted on facebook that he is offering $2000 off any new home plus $2500 in furniture for anyone buying a new home who brings him their George Lopez ticket. Judy Nichols, the chair of the Republican Party of Jefferson County Texas, released a statement responding to the George Lopez event. She is also organizing a rally to support President Trump just outside the George Lopez event. Another local businesswoman, MrsMobile Home Magan, posted on facebook for anyone who bought a home from her and gives her their tickets then she will give them double what they paid for the ticket so she can burn the ticket. Another local resident posted screenshots of the seats available and it shows there are more seats available now than 3 days ago due to people apparently canceling of returning their tickets. Screenshots of local news coverage of the reactions and planned protests are also attached below.
I am a big advocate of the Constitution, including the First Amendment right to freedom of speech. That only protects from government restriction of speech. That does not mean there will not be consequences for speech such as rallies or boycotts form people who have differing opinions and want to express their contrary beliefs. The First Amendment should protect anyone from criminal prosecution as well for freedom of speech. There is a limit though as the First Amendment does not protect against some kinds of threats. While studying at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, I had a constitutional law class as part of my political science degree course load. The professor made an example for us of what is protected and what is not. It would be perfectly legal and constitutional for George Lopez to say someone should take up the bounty. It would be perfectly legal and constitutional for George Lopez to say someone should kill the president. He would not be specifically directing anyone to go kill the president and he isn’t saying he is going to go do it himself as a specific and direct threat. He is expressing a horrible opinion that he will get backlash or even civil lawsuits for, but is non the less constitutional as anyone in America has a right to express their opinions without government restriction saying they cannot. However, George Lopez seems to have gone beyond saying someone should take up the bounty against President Trump. George Lopez specifically stated he would take up the bounty and only wants half the money. That certainly on its face appears to be a specific threat and agreement to kill the president for a price. George Lopez at the very least should get questioned and investigated to ensure there is no threat from him, and he might should be charged as well. I am a big fan of criminal justice reform and a big supporter of the constitution. We have a lot or problems with unconstitutional laws and prosecutorial misconduct and over regulation. I’m not saying he should be thrown in jail and throw away the key, and I even believe that many laws restricting speech are unconstitutional as everyone has a right to say whatever opinion they want. But George Lopez might have crossed that line of opinion by stating that he was taking up a bounty to go through with an assassination of the President. At minimum, his speech does have non-governmental consequences which are now being seen right here in southeast Texas.

N. Korea Threatens Nuke Missile Strike on Austin, Texas

North Korea Dictator Kim Jong Un has signed orders putting his rockets on combat ready status, and, according to Kim Jong Un's U.S. Mainland Strike Plan, Austin, TX is one of his top 4 American cities targeted by this potential nuclear missile strike (see picture of strike map below from NKNews.org). Occupy Movements, plastic bags, and Hippie Festivals are no longer the greatest threat to this liberal controlled Texas City. This actually brings up a valid question though. What is America doing to protect the Homeland from a strike like this coming from the Gulf of Mexico or countries south of the United States of America?
When Americans think of a potential missile strike, it is safe to say that most people would assume the missiles would hit either the East of West Coast. Not many people would name a city in Texas, for instance, when asked about a potential missile strike against the United States of America. Both the East and the West Coasts of America have defense measures in place. In fact, the new Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, recently announced, possibly in response to N. Korea, a plan to add 14 more missile interceptors in Alaska to protect the West Coast. Hagel is also requesting to beef up the missile defenses of the East Coast, likely in response to Iran. What about states like Texas? What if a missile strike came up from the Gulf of Mexico? What defense measures are in place? Why do southern states not have as much protection as the other coasts?

In fact, while the West and East Coasts are beefing up their Air Defense Systems in 2013, Obama is actually trying to shut down air defense systems along the southern border of the United States (including along the U.S. Mexico Border and the Gulf of Mexico Coast). Just a couple of months ago I broke this story: Obama Closing Air Defense System on U.S./Mexico Border: Texas & America Vulnerable to Attack from Low Altitude Missiles and Aircraft. After widespread outrage, the Air Force has said they would keep this Tethered Aerostat Radar System air defense system up until at least the end of this year instead of closing TARS at the beginning of the year as originally planned.

When planning for an attack from the enemy, all options must be considered. This includes the option that a country planning to attack the U.S. knows the East and West Coasts are well protected and therefore the country will try to attack a less protected state along with Gulf of Mexico. Just last year, a Russian nuclear-powered attack submarine armed with long-range cruise missiles operated undetected in the Gulf of Mexico for several weeks.

Why attack Texas? Is anyone surprised that North Korea's hit list includes the capitol city of Texas? You shouldn't be surprised. The Republican controlled State of Texas is a shining example of hope, prosperity, opportunity, and economic stability in America. In fact, the State of Texas is a perennial top 15 largest economy in the world compared to entire countries.

Obama Fought for Mexican Killer in Texas – Won’t Fight for Christians facing Execution Worldwide

by, David Bellow
Obama Fought to Stop the Execution of a Mexican National who Raped and Killed a Young Girl in Texas

Earlier this year, the Obama Administration fought to stop Texas from executing a Mexican National, Humberto Leal Garcia, who raped and killed a young girl in Texas. There was no question that Garcia raped and killed this girl and it is out of the ordinary for the United States Government to get involved in a State Capital Murder case.

Still, the Obama Administration tried to stop the Texas execution of this murder. The Obama Administration said that executing this Mexican National would “irreparable harm” to US – Mexico relations.

Ted Cruz, who is running for United States Senate, was the Solicitor General for Texas at the time and fought against the Obama Administration’s infringement upon the State Sovereignty of Texas. Ted Cruz went to the United States Supreme Court and beat Obama on this issue.

Obama Has Said Nothing to Iran to Try to Stop Them From Killing a Pastor Simply because he Believes in Jesus Christ

update: The White House has finally spoken out against the execution of the pastor in Iran. It is amazing what all the press coverage will do. The war against Christianity still continues and Obama needs to take a strong stance against it like when he tried to help the Mexican Killer in Texas and like he has stood for allowing gays in the military

Just today I read a Fox News article about an Iranian Pastor, Yousef Nadarkhani, who is sentenced to death and is to be executed soon, simply because he believes in Jesus Christ. WHAT!? Why are we just hearing about this? Why has no one stood up and pleaded for Iran to stop this unjust execution. Just this morning (9/28/11) Republican Speaker of the House, John Boehner, sent a letter to Iran denouncing Iran’s pending execution of this man. Nothing has come out from the Obama Administration about this execution. Obama has no problem getting involved in Mexican affairs and trying to stop the execution of a murderer, but he will not open his mouth to say that it is wrong to execute a man simply because he believes in Jesus Christ.

More Christians Have Been Killed in the United States and Worldwide in 20th Century than Ever Before in History

While leftists and the Obama Administration are focused on allowing gays to serve openly in the military and forcing every American to purchase private healthcare, there have been more serious issues of intolerance and persecution against Christians. Remember the Columbine School Shooting when the gunman shot a girl simply because she would not deny Christ? Remember the Texas church where a gunman killed several people? That is happening right here in America. The liberals are mute when it comes to standing up against intolerance towards Christianity. In fact, the liberals, who speak of intolerance, are themselves intolerant of Christians. They want to keep people from praying at a funeral, they want to take historical crosses down at memorials, and they even punish kids in school for simply believing that homosexuality is wrong. They believe that everyone has a right to believe whatever they want to believe, except for Christians of course who should never express their beliefs in public.

That is just in America. Worldwide, there are Christians being sent to prison, tortured and executed, simply because they believe in Jesus Christ. Where is the outrage? More Christians have been killed in the modern 20th Century than in the entire history of Christianity. There are dozens of countries where Christianity, and even owning a bible, is banned.

Voice of the Martyrs keeps track of many of these individuals who are in prison or have been killed as a result of their faith in Jesus Christ. This Iran pastor facing execution is not just an isolated incident. It is the tip of a very large Iceberg. Christians are being killed worldwide simply because of their faith. In America, Christians are facing more intolerance and restrictions every year. Will America, which was founded on Religious Freedom, one day start persecuting Christians, like other countries, simply because they openly believe in Christ? I hope not, but I am not surprised by anything anymore in this day and age. It seems like every day there is a new story of an attack against Christianity in America. I even recently read about a California couple getting fined for having a bible study at their private home! What are they going to do if they keep holding the Bible study? Are they going to arrest them?

The war against Christianity is real people. It is real and people are dying.
