Marcelo Molfino JP campaign bankrolled by corrupt Democrats. Democrat DA Bob Wortham has given thousands to Molfino according to campaign finance reports. Molfino is running as a Republican but where will his allegiance really lie? It is time Jefferson County Republicans stopped the cycle of corruption. Bob Wortham is one of the most corrupt Democrats in Jefferson County. Wortham let the BISD corrupt Democrat school leaders off the hook with Molfino at his side. Wortham refused to charge Democrat Sheriff Zena Stephens who took 5k under the table money from a convicted gambler who Wortham knew had an illegal gambling ring and never prosecuted him for it, all with Molfino by his side. When an officer in Port Arthur filed a lawsuit against Wortham for refusing to file charges against Molfino and then retaliating against the officer, the lawsuit states that Wortham told the officer that Molfino is his boy. When the DA leadership put out a termination letter against Molfino for lying and stealing, which led to Molfino's resignation, Wortham went to the PA news and stated that Molfino was not in trouble and didn't know why he resigned. Wortham lied to the public about the termination of Molfino. The sitting DA would boldly lie to cover for Molfino, and then he gives thousands of dollars to Molfino to win a Republican campaign? Jefferson County Republicans must stop this corruption in Jefferson County. Molfino will be an extension of the Democrat Wortham yall have known is corrupt. You can't even trust that Molfino is being honest about his separation from the DA office and Molfino is bankrolled by Democrat Bob Wortham. Molfino can't be trusted as a Republican and he can't be trusted in general.

Beaumont ISD Raided by FBI – Admins Stole Millions – Texas to Take Over School District?

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has raided the Beaumont Independent School District and homes of two top School Officials. The FBI is assisting the US Attorney’s Office investigate allegations that School Officials created bogus accounts to steal money from the school and from the taxpayers. There is no official figure but rumors are that the total stolen could be in the millions of dollars.

No one should really be surprised at this I suppose. We are talking about the notoriously corrupt Beaumont ISD. I have written several articles about Beaumont ISD corruption in the last few years and I never even scratched the surface. My most recent article about Beaumont ISD was only a couple of weeks ago and was about a Federal Judge ruling the Beaumont ISD/DOJ election was illegal and also about BISD paying a top Administrator, Jessie Haynes, to be a fugitive.

According to KBMT Channel 12 News in Beaumont, “Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided the administration building early Thursday morning. They also raided the home of the district's Director of Finance Devin McCraney and the home of District Comptroller Sharika Allison.”

The Texas Education Agency is currently investigating BISD. It is believed that the TEA discovered the mismanaged money trail and contacted the Federal Authorities which led to the raid. The State of Texas denies that they knew anything of the FBI raid and the TEA says their investigation is unrelated to what the FBI is investigating.

Will this latest incident be the straw that breaks the camel’s back and forces the State of Texas to take over Beaumont ISD? This would not be the first time. Beaumont ISD has a long history of corruption and the State of Texas has had to take over the School District at least once before.

BISD School Board Member Mike Neil has been fighting to correct problems in the school district ever since he was elected. Neil told KFDM Channel 6 News in Beaumont, "There's no doubt in my mind there's been corruption in the past," said Neil. "Whether or not there's currently corruption, I'm not going to say. But there's no doubt in my mind this is not a correctly run district, especially from a business standpoint."

TX Judge Rules Beaumont ISD/DOJ Election ILLEGAL – Admin Got Paid to be a Fugitive

No surprise here, Beaumont ISD is once again in the news for, well, being corrupt. There are actually several new stories of corruption that I could write about, but I am just going to focus on the two biggest recent stories. First, BISD has had their planned November School Board Election declared illegal because, well, it violates Texas state law. Second, a top BISD Administrator had charges filed and a warrant out against her for blocking a public entrance and she was given paid suspension while she was running from the law.

The Drama over at Beaumont ISD is never ending. I am not a gambler, but if I was I would be willing to bet good money that if you polled Texans from around the entire State, most of them will have heard of Beaumont, TX (and Jefferson County) and believe it to be one of the most corrupt places in all of Texas.

Beaumont ISD Election Ruled ILLEGAL – BISD Tried to Use Holder’s DOJ to Push Illegal Election via Voting Rights Act

Ok, so let me make this long story short. Beaumont ISD is corrupt. The people of Beaumont wanted to really shake things up so they legally had a petition drive to change the board from 7 single member districts to 5 single member districts with 2 at large members who would be elected by the entire city and not from poorly drawn single member districts. The petition was successful and it was placed on the ballot to be voted on by the entire city. The people of Beaumont spoke and voted to change the BISD to a 5-2 plan.

The Beaumont ISD districts were also changed during all the redistricting in 2012. State Law requires all members of the school board to be up for re-election after redistricting.

Well, election time come around for BISD. The election was supposed to be May 2013. BISD says a big “forget you” to the people of Texas and decided they will not implement the 5-2 plan and they also say they will not put all 7 members up for election.

BISD goes running to Eric Holder’s Department of Justice and says that a 5-2 plan is racist and must be stopped. Holder used the Voting Rights Act section 5 and refused to give preclearance to the 5-2 plan. So BISD decided to move ahead with a 7 member district election.

After a ping pong match between Federal and State Courts, and after the election got pushed back to November 2013, the Voting Rights Act giving DOJ automatic preclearance of election changes in Texas got struck down by the United States Supreme Court.

With DOJ preclearance not needed anymore, BISD no longer had a reason to refuse to implement the 5-2 plan. They refused anyways and it ended up in court again.

Just yesterday, the 9^th Court of Appeals in Beaumont, TX declared Beaumont ISD’s upcoming school board election to be ILLEGAL.

Beaumont ISD Communications Director Jessie Haynes Given Paid Leave while she was Investigated and eventually Charged and had a Warrant out for her Arrest – Haynes pleads the race card

Ok, so here is the short story. Jessie Haynes did not want certain members of the media to be at a press conference, so she blocked the public doorway in the BISD Administration Building. Jerry Jordan of SETinvestigates.com has been exposing corruption in BISD and so Jessie Haynes took it upon herself to deny Jordan the ability to go into the public press conference. School Board Trustee Mike Neil (one of the good guys) showed up and tried to go into the press conference. She denied the school board member entry as well. Neil went to open the door anyways and that is when she took a football tackle stance and tried it looked like she was going to try to tackle the school board member. Charges were filed against Jessie Haynes and she had a warrant out for her arrest. While she was a fugitive, she was put on paid suspension and was getting a paycheck. Once she turned herself in and got out on bail, she was given her job back by Superintendent Timothy Chargois. Chargois seems to be continuing BISD down the corrupt path that former Superintendent Carrol “Butch” Thomas.

Oh, and what defense does Jessie Haynes claim? She claims everyone is racist against her. No surprise she pulled the race card. Oh, and just to be safe, she added in that she is a victim of violence against women. Interesting she should bring up violence against women because she was seen getting bailed out with Tyler Thomas Jr., who was accused of beating his girlfriend, and also when his father was a deputy for Hardin County his father was caught in a sting with a prostitute.

Texas Judge Rules School Finance Plan UNCONSTITUTIONAL - Likely to be Overturned - School Waste Spending is the Problem!

Last year, over 600 schools in Texas filed a lawsuit against the State of Texas. These schools claimed they were underfunded, but they somehow found millions of dollars to hire lawyers and file suit against the State of Texas with the claim that the schools did not have enough money.

Yesterday, a Texas State Judge, John Dietz, ruled that the current Texas School Finance Plan is unconstitutional. This ruling is not surprising because this Judge has previously ruled against Texas School Funding Plans in 2005, and the schools bringing the current lawsuit picked his court to file the lawsuit in. This ruling will be appealed to the Texas State Supreme Court where it will likely be thrown out.

These schools claim that the State cut their funding by over 5 billion dollars. In reality, the funding for schools was not cut last year, it INCREASED. The overall amount of money that the State gave Texas schools last session actually increased from the previous session. The 5 billion dollar figure represents the increase in funding that the schools wanted last session. When Texas rejected to fund the increase, the schools said school funding was cut. In fact, school funding was not CUT, it was just not increased as much as desired. Texas is funding education at a much higher level than other states. Education costs are 40% of the budget in Texas while the average education costs of the other States is only about 30%.

The biggest problem with school finance is not that the State is cutting funds, but that the school districts are not properly using the funds they are getting.

Texas Schools have SPENDING Problem, NOT Revenue Problem

According to Texas Comptroller Susan Combs and Texas Governor Rick Perry, Texas School Spending increased up to 5 times faster than enrollment.

So if School Spending has grown astronomically, then why are schools saying they do not have any money? The answer is simple.

Texas Schools are Blowing their State Money on Non-Educational Waste

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott rightly argues that the system is adequately funded and that school districts don't always spend their money wisely.

Not spending money wisely is an understatement.

Think about this, half of all Texas School Staff are not even teachers!

Beaumont ISD is a perfect example of extreme waste spending by a Texas School District. The former superintendent in this city of a little over 100,000 residents was making $360,000 per year BASE salary. That made him the highest paid superintendent in the State of Texas even though the school district is a small district compared to the much larger districts in Texas. It does not stop there. BISD just built a massive football stadium with school money. But hey, teachers are not as important as football right? BIS also tried to build a HOTEL with tax dollars. Really? A hotel? The State Legislature actually had to pass a law to block the school from wasting school money on building a hotel. Oh, and how about BISD paying to send teachers to a different state for a racially charged black educators conference. Even worse, when BISD was building a school, the district overpaid for a truck rental by half a million dollars. The school was paying $90,000 to rent a truck that normally only costs $7000 a month to rent.

Beaumont is not the only place where waste spending happens. It happens in most school districts. According to Texas Watchdog, Austin ISD recently fired teachers because they said the money was not there, but then the school district turned around and increased the number of school administrators making over $100,000 by 63%

Those examples above are just a few examples of how Texas Schools are wasting school tax dollars.

Clearly, the problem with Texas funding is NOT budget cuts from the State. The problem is that Texas Schools are wasting the school money they get on non-educational things, and when times got tough, they fired teachers instead of cutting non-educational pet projects or firing non-educators.

Holder's DOJ Blocks Texas ISD Election because More Whites than Blacks Voted

Eric Holder's Department of Justice Opposes a Beaumont Texas School District Election because too many white people voted, tries to block election using Voting Rights Act.

Beaumont, TX is a city where the majority of the residents are minorities. Beaumont ISD has a majority of school board members who are minorities. Minorities are WELL represented in this city and in this school district.

Recently, the residents of BISD voted to change the school board from being 7 single member districts to being 5 single member school districts with 2 at large districts. Something like this is not uncommon and it is completely within the rights of the citizens of the school district voters to decide what they want. The residents in BISD voted to make this change (keep in mind that the majority of voters in BISD are non-white). Something like this is good because it allows for 2 members of the school board to be elected by the entire school district. These two at large school board members can look out for the interest of the entire school district instead of having only single member districts where each member only looks out for the interest of their own district where they were elected. With an at large district you have someone who is not just looking out for one single member district and will be held accountable by the entire school district. This is kind of like how the Representatives in the Texas House do not just pass laws themselves for their own districts. Laws from the Texas Legislature pass through the Governor too, and the governor is elected by all the voters in the entire state of Texas and not just from one single district.

Well, along comes Eric Holder's Department of Justice and they say no to what the voters decided. One of the most absurd reasons the DOJ gives for opposing this change is that, according to them, most black people voted against the change and most white people voted for the change, and, because too many whites voted, the black's lost the election and it would therefore be discriminatory to make the change.

It is COMPLETELY UNCONSTITUTIONAL for the DOJ to oppose this change. It is racism to overturn a vote based on the race you align with not winning the legal, non-discriminating election. Can you imagine the uproar if an election was overturned because someone didn't like that too many black people voted? That would be racism right? There is a double standard when it comes to racism in America. I vote based on values regardless of whether or not the person I am voting on is white or black and I wish Eric Holder's DOJ would stop being racist and using color of skin as a factor in everything he does. Oh, and keep in mind that the majority of voters in BISD are minorities so a good chunk of them had to vote for the proposition for it to pass, and also remember that people's votes are secret and there is no way to know who voted for what and what the race of the voter is. I guess Eric Holder does not care about the black people who voted FOR the proposition. They must not be black enough, or cornball brothers, or Uncle Toms so they do not count as part of the black vote even though they are black.

The BISD School Board (mostly black) will likely not oppose Eric Holder's non-binding OPINION even though the board is obligated to stand for the vote of the people, and it would be breaking Texas State Law if they do not implement the 5-2 plan (Section 11.502 of the Tex. Education Code). Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott might have to step into this mess to straighten things out. Who knows, some of the board members could even be arrested and charged if they do not follow Texas Law and implement the plan approved by the voters of BISD.

This situation with the DOJ and BISD is just another example of why Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act is wrong, unconstitutional, and will likely get struck down very soon by the United States Supreme Court. The Voting Rights Act is facing challenges from several different states, including Texas who is challenging the Voting Rights Act over Eric Holder's DOJ rejection of the Texas Redistricting Maps.

BISD is known for being corrupt. The school district even recently voted to keep an electrical contractor on the payroll even though the contractor (Calvin Walker's Electrical Company) stole millions from the school district and was just convicted of tax fraud. In 2011, the Texas Legislature passed a law to prohibit school districts from using tax dollars to build a hotel. This law was specifically passed to prevent BISD from building a hotel that the school was looking into constructing with tax dollars. The former BISD Superintendent, Butch Carroll Thomas, was even the highest paid superintendent in Texas (annual base pay well over $350,000) even though BISD is only a medium sized school district compared to massive school districts like Houston ISD. Heck, the President of the United States only makes $400,000 (not including the millions of dollars the President spends in tax dollars every time he wants to fly somewhere to go golfing).

‘Big Bird’ Punching Romney Look-Alike in the Face During Beaumont, TX School Football Halftime Performance

I have been to some of the Beaumont ISD football games and their halftime shows should be rated R. It really would shock most of America if they saw how bad these Beaumont halftime performances are.

I am not surprised by this outrageous, partisan, anti-Republican, Obama-loving, football halftime performance by Beaumont ISD's Central High School.

This is after all Beaumont ISD where the past Superintendent, "Butch" Carrol Thomas was paid more than any other Superintendent in the State, even though Beaumont is not even close to being a big city like Houston or Dallas. Beaumont ISD allowed millions of tax dollars to be stolen by Walker Electricity, they wanted to use school tax dollars to build a hotel, and they even used tax dollars to send teachers another state to attend a racially charged black only NABSE conference.

After all that BISD has already done, I suppose I am not surprised to see that school money was used to get involved in Republican vs. Democrat politics. Even worse, they are teaching kids that violence is ok if you do not like a political person's beliefs!

Wild Vid Shows ‘Big Bird’ Punching Romney Look-Alike in the Face During School Performance

Ever since Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney said he would cut funding to PBS and Sesame Street if elected, the left has championed Big Bird as a way to verbally attack him.  Now, video uploaded to YouTube by the Texas Sports Center takes it a step further, showing Mitt Romney being punched in the face by the iconic character during a school halftime performance.
According to the Texas Sports Center, the the Beaumont Central High School marching band decided to have a political “dance-off” instead of a more traditional show, and the director began by asking whether everyone is going to vote on Tuesday.
After “Obama,” identified as the athletic youth in the white shirt, dances and does a back flip, the beloved Sesame Street character taps a young man wearing a Mitt Romney mask on the shoulder.
“Wait a minute, I got somebody for you, Mr. Romney!” the announcer calls.  “Mr. Big Bird is in the house! Big Bird!”
“Romney” then moves out of the screen while Big Bird does a brief dance, but when he comes back Big Bird decks him in the jaw, sending him straight to the ground.

BISD's "Butch" Carroll Thomas Can't Pull Race Card after Being Rejected for Texas Education Commissioner

Governor Rick Perry named Michael Williams of Arlington the Texas State Commissioner of Education, effective September 1, 2012.

Former Beaumont Independent School District Superintendent "Butch" Carroll Thomas applied for this position. Thomas wreaked havoc at BISD with stupid financial decisions and race based decisions like trying to use school tax dollars to build a hotel, re-hiring a black contractor who stole millions from the school, sending black teachers to a national black conference using tax money to foot the bill.

Thomas liked to pull the race card when people criticized him. In the application for the State Commissioner, Thomas submitted basically an entire book praising himself. I am sure that Thomas would have pulled the race card if he did not get picked for this state level position.

But Wait! Governor Perry picked a great black conservative to fill the position. I guess Thomas cannot pull the race card for not getting picked. He must be really upset.

Texan Brandon Darby Forcibly Removes Occupy Orlando Activists at Sheriff Joe Tea Party Event (Video)

This news and video first broke on Andrew Breitbart’s website this past Saturday.

Former liberal activist/turned tea party conservative Brandon Darby and Sheriff Joe Arpaio were featured speakers at the Choose Liberty 2012 event sponsored by the Eastern Orlando Tea Party. As Sheriff Arpaio took the podium, Darby called security over to point out Occupy Orlando activists where in the audience of the private event preparing to cause a disruption. When the activists tried to interfere with Arpaio's right to speak and the tea party's right to peaceably assemble, Darby and Chad Biddinger of Libertylink.com escorted the trespassers out in an emphatic way.

Brandon Darby is a conservative hero and a friend. He saved the 2008 Republican Convention from a liberal bomb attempt and he has been fighting for conservative values ever since. I have had the pleasure to work with him on past issues like school financial corruption in BISD and the attempted cover-up of a Silsbee Rape case. He even sat down with me and did an interview for Texas GOP Vote about how Texans can fight the left like he does using the Andrew Breitbart model. Darby recently created an organization called Citizen Patriot Response. Darby used this organization to provide support and supplies to victims of the massive Texas wildfires in 2011.

I was not at all surprised when Darby sent me a text with the link to the video of him saving the day from Occupy Orlando Protesters at a Private Tea Party event. Darby was able to sniff these liberals out before they started their disruption. Great Job! If only we had more Texans in other Occupy Wall Street Protests to help stop these radicals from acting out violence in their protests. On the flip side, not one Tea Party member was arrested in the peaceful Tea Party protests that changed America
