Major Newspapers Reject Pro-Life Ad, Image of Baby “Too Controversial”

the following article is from Life News: http://www.lifenews.com/2013/07/05/major-newspapers-reject-pro-life-ad-image-of-baby-too-controversial/

Washington, DC (LiveActionNews) –  A national pro-life organization is outraged after three major American newspapers rejected a pro-life ad as “too controversial.”
The Chicago Tribune, USA Today, and the LA Times refused to run an advertisement created by Heroic Media.
The ad features a hand holding a 20- to 24-week-old baby with the quote, “This child has no voice, which is why it depends on yours. Speak Up.”
Heroic Media Executive Director Joe Young said he was shocked and angered that the media outlets were willing to talk about the issue but were unwilling to show the reality of life at 20 weeks.
“I am disturbed that these papers would run article after article promoting the notion that abortion is a victimless act without consequences,” Young said. “The fact remains, children who are unique individuals – never again to be duplicated – are being killed in the most violent way imaginable and they feel the excruciating pain of that death.”
The newspapers took issue with the image of the baby.
“It seems as though it is okay to talk about the issue in general, but when you actually put a face to the discussion, then it becomes controversial,” Young said.
Last week after the House passed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, Heroic Media put out a statement requesting that the pro-life community contact their senators and encourage them to consider and support the Act.
“Americans deserve to know the truth about the children sentenced to die for no fault of their own and that we have a chance to spare some of them through this legislation,” Young said.
The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act prevents an abortionist from performing an abortion at or after 20 weeks, based on empirical scientific medical evidence that proves that unborn babies can feel pain. Science shows that at eight weeks after fertilization, the unborn child reacts to touch, and at 20 weeks, the unborn baby responds to what would be felt as pain.
The image shows a 20- to 24-week-old baby in a person’s hands. Heroic Media’s goal was to show what life looks like at 20 weeks. The non-profit organization has resubmitted the ad with a different image, now one of a 20-week-old baby in utero.
The Chicago Tribune has now agreed to run the ad with the second image as long as Heroic Media indicates that it is an advertisement.
“Our hope is that the American public begins to advance this debate with both the mother and child in mind,” Young said.
Heroic Media is a non-profit whose mission is to educate the public in general and reach women facing unplanned pregnancies with life-affirming alternatives through the use of mass media, such as television commercials, internet outreach, and billboards.

Creepier Video of Abortion Activists Chanting Hail Satan Emerges

Abortion activists opposing the 20-week abortion ban bill in Texas have drawn national attention for chanting “Hail Satan” while pro-life advocates sang Amazing Grace.
The chanting was too much even for a “Church of Satan” group on Twitter that denounced it’s use in association with the promotion of abortion.
Now a creepier version of the video has surfaced that has the chants more audible then before. The surfacing of the new video is important, as some abortion advcoates and liberal writers are attempting to downplay the video and claim only one person chanted “Hail Satan.”
In the video, supporters of late-term abortion are clearly heckling the pro-life speaker, named Ashley, who is talking about Bernard Nathanson, the former abortion practitioner who later became pro-life.
From a blog that has posted the new video:

Planned Parenthood Paying People to Protest Texas’ 20-Week Abortion Ban in Austin

yep, I guess good help is hard to find in the pro baby killing arena, so planned Parenthood has resorted to putting ads on Craigslist soliciting paid workers to go to the pro-abortion rallies in Austin.

I am not surprised by this, they can not even come up with a unique color for shirts to have people wear at the pro abortion rallies. Most people in Austin have a burnt orange t-shirt because of the University of Texas so the pro abortion people just figured that they would say the pro abortion crowd is wearing burnt orange so that way they just have to give all the college kids food and drinks and they will gladly walk over to the Texas State Capitol to make it look like there is a bigger protest than what there really is.

Activist Groups Paying People to Protest Texas’ 20-Week Abortion Ban

Debate begins anew today in Texas as state legislators file legislation that would ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy and hold abortion facilities accountable for following health and safety laws.
Abortion activists are out in force today to protest the bill and Katie Pavlich of Town Hall discovered they are getting money to do so.
Craigslist in Austin currently has an advertisement up for wanted full-time activists. The advertisement was posted on June 29, 2013, just two days before the second special Texas Legislature session started.

I called the number listed on the advertisement to get more information and was told this campaign is directly working with Planned Parenthood to bolster their efforts.
That Planned Parenthood and abortion activists must pay for people to lobby the legislature is not surprising given a strong majority of Texans support the late-term abortion ban.
A poll shows that 46 percent of Texans think abortion should either be illegal or only legal in the cases of rape, incest, or when there is danger to the life of the mother. Only 36 percent thought abortion should be a matter of personal choice. The rest declined to respond or felt that abortion should be available only when need was clearly established. This is consistent with survey results from other red states.
More importantly, this poll shows that banning abortion after 20 weeks of gestation — one of the provisions of SB5 — has the support of over 62 percent of Texas residents.

Activists Destroy Pro-Life Memorial to Remember Murdered Unborn Babies - Waco, Texas

Activists Destroy Pro-Life Memorial to Remember Unborn Babies

by Steven Ertelt | Waco, TX | LifeNews.com | 1/29/13 12:19 PM

Pro-abortion activists have destroyed a memorial of crosses set up in a field to remember the 55 million unborn children who have been killed in abortions since Roe v. Wade in 1973.
On Saturday, January 26th, the Rachel’s Park Memorial, was desecrated, according to an email from Rev. Rusty Lee Thomas of Elijah Ministries to LifeNews.
Thomas, who is the founder and director of the memorial, said a report was filed with the Waco Police Department at 11:09 am, by an employee of a neighboring business.
Rachel’s Park Memorial is located at 4720 N. 19th Street in Waco. The park has suffered regular desecration, but this attack was, by far, the most devastating, he said. The spreading display of 4,000 white crosses reinforced with steel rebar was extensively damaged, as was the picket fence enclosing the memorial park.
Thomas provided LifeNews with a photo of the damage, which shows 12 ½ ft by 136 ft cuts through the memorial site, with approximately 600 crosses, rebar, oil, two tires, and parts of a vehicle’s underside littering the park.
Entombed within the park are the remains of a tiny victim of abortion, Thomas added. Thankfully, the main feature of the memorial park, The Tomb of the Unknown Baby, was undamaged.

“It appears the animosity against the preborn knows no bounds. Not only are we content as a nation to stand back and allow the preborn to die through the sin and crime of abortion, but now there are those among us who seek to destroy the very memory of these children as well,” Thomas said. “We pray the Lord will take this desecration and lead justice to victory and those responsible for this evil act will repent, find forgiveness in Christ, and make restitution.”
Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Waco Police Department (254) 750-7500 or Waco Crime Stoppers at (254) 753-4357.
