Massive Cartel Smuggling Tunnel Found Under U.S./Mexico Border

the following article is from Brandon Darby posted at Texas GOP Vote:

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has uncovered a massive tunnel Mexican cartels created to smuggle drugs and possibly human beings from Mexico into the United States. Authorities are describing the tunnel as “an elaborate cross border tunnel.”
The tunnel stretched from a warehouse in Tijuana, Mexico to a building in a San Diego, California industrial park. It was complete with its own electric rail system, lighting, and ventilation systems. Authorities describe the tunnel as “the most sophisticated tunnel discovered along the border in two years,” and it stretched six football fields in length.
In a rare move, the U.S. Attorney’s Office directly blamed Mexican cartels for the operation. “The cartels have spent years and tens of millions of dollars trying in vain to create an underworld of secret passageways to move huge quantities of drugs at will,” said U.S.
Attorney Laura Duffy, the head of the office prosecuting the case. The U.S./Mexico border is wide open for much of its nearly 2,000 miles, and U.S. Border Patrol Agents have spoken out publicly through their union, the National Border Patrol Council, on the obstacles they face in trying to secure the border. However, the open nature of such border crossings allows only trickles of drug smuggling and human trafficking in comparison to the large scale single shipments that a tunnel such as this makes possible. There have also been recent cases of U.S. law enforcement accused of receiving payments to allow such shipments to cross the U.S./Mexico border.
Such tunnels are also a grave concern in the realm of national security and terrorism. In 2012, the United Nations (UN) acknowledged that individuals from known terror states and regions, including the Horn of Africa, were traveling to Central America and then following the same paths and networks as illegal immigrants from Central America and Mexico to illegally enter the U.S.
According to ICE, this particular tunnel was found by pure chance by one police officer doing his or her duty. The officer pulled over a truck in San Diego for traffic violations and realized the vehicle contained three tons of marijuana. After this initial chance encounter, investigators began monitoring the area. Days later, they executed search warrants on two warehouses and found both the tunnel and a storage building for what came through the tunnel from Mexico. In addition to 17,292 pounds of marijuana, U.S. authorities also seized 325 pounds of cocaine.
This tunnel was the eighth large scale tunnel discovered in the San Diego area alone since 2006. A reported 75 cross-border tunnels have been detected by U.S. authorities in total.

Where the Border Wall Ends: South East Texas/Mexico Border Wide Open (Video)

from Breitbart.com by Brandon Darby:

Both Democrat and Republican leaders continue to espouse that the U.S. border with Mexico is secure, but I found the exact opposite to be true when I went to the border on assignment for Breitbart News.

These videos expose the ease at which illegal crossings occur in the southeast Texas area known as the Valley, one of the most heavy areas for illegal crossing into the United States.
The first video I took revealed a gaping hole in the border fence that resulted from a massive gate never having been installed. The opening was slightly more than 100 yards from the Rio Grande, the river that separates the U.S. from Mexico in Texas. I walked to the river, then walked through the open gate into a U.S. neighborhood. I did not see any security or border patrols for 30-35 minutes.
Approximately one mile from this gaping hole, I found the end of the border fence. The end of the border fence sits between another U.S. neighborhood and the river. A "wildlife management area" extends less than a mile between the fence and the river.
Here is the exclusive video:

Video: Breitbart News' Brandon Darby Exposes Unsecured Border

Breitbart News’ Brandon Darby walks viewers from the Rio Grande River into a U.S. neighborhood, revealing just how unsecured the U.S./Mexico border really is. Darby walks viewers through the unfinished “Border Fence,” which had no gate or security of any kind. The location was west of Penitas, Texas.

Darby, who is on assignment along the U.S./Mexico border investigating cartels and public corruption, stated by telephone:
"The southeastern stretch of the Rio Grande river is where most of Texas' illegal immigration occurs. The area has many desolate regions and there simply aren't enough resources being applied to the issue.
"Cartels and street gangs control the human smuggling. The region where I took the video is currently heavily disputed between the Mexican Gulf cartel and the Los Zetas cartel, which is actually an armed insurgency," said Darby.
"Transnational crime syndicates usually have a stash house just on the other side of the wall. People cross the river and go to these houses. Then they are taken up various highways and let out just before the known immigration check points. They walk miles and miles from that point to the next stash house."
Darby was referencing a 2012 report from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in his assertions about human smuggling.
"Breitbart News has just begun to open the taps on the human stories and issues of public corruption occurring on our southern border. We will continue to surprise our readers and the American public with the information we are uncovering," said Darby.

Mexican Cartel Assassin Confirmed Killed 11 On U.S. Soil, Confessed To More

from Brandon Darby posted at Texas GOP Vote

As left-of-center voices call for even less border security, a chilling report from U.S. law enforcement reveals an alleged Mexican cartel member claims he killed 30 individuals on U.S. soil. The confessed killer, Jose Manuel Martinez, is originally from Mexico but has legal status in the U.S. according to Fox News Latino. He was arrested in Arizona but later extradited to Alabama for his crimes there. U.S. law enforcement has confirmed 11 of the murders on U.S. soil that were carried out for an unidentified Mexican cartel. “Everything he’s telling us has checked out. He knows all the details. He’s spot-on with the specifics of a crime,” Capt. Tim McWhorter of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department told Alabama’s local TimesDaily.com. The revelations from this case come after multiple corpses were discovered buried in Oregon which are believed to be related to what authorities there called “an unprecedented level of Mexican cartel presence” in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News. Breitbart News has reported on multiple recent arrests, indictments, or sentences given to Mexican nationals who were leading large narcotics operations in the U.S., purportedly for entities in their home nation. Breitbart News also revealed the arrest of an operative for a large international narcotics ring based in Guatemala in Alabama. The operative was caught with over $1,000,000 in U.S. currency.

IRS Targeted Conservative Hispanic Group in Texas - Voces Action Adryana Boyne

Adryana Boyne is a great Hispanic Republican who has a group (Voces Action) that draws Hispanic to the Republican Party by showing Hispanics that their conervative values are in line with Republicans, NOT Democrats.

I am sure Obama and the Democrats hate this because they want minorities to think that the Democrt Party is the only party for minorities.

Well surprie surprise, look who got targeted by the IRS!

The following article is from Brandon Darby of Beritbart.com: http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/05/15/IRS-Targeted-Conservative-Hispanic-Outreach-Group

IRS Targeted Conservative Hispanic Outreach Group

The IRS’s targeting of Tea Party groups went even further than has been revealed. A conservative Hispanic outreach group that educates Spanish-speaking and English-speaking Hispanic communities on the US Constitution was also targeted after applying for 501(c3) status, according to the group’s founder and president, Adryana Boyne.

Boyne's organization, named Voces Action, also applied for 501(c4) status. Boyne said she abandoned her 501(c3) efforts due to the IRS’s treatment of her. “I spent thousands of dollars on attorneys and hundreds of hours dealing with the IRS on this. Our groups had separate boards and followed all of the laws,” said Boyne.
“We applied for nonprofit status in June of 2009 and we did not hear back from them until late 2010, even though we began calling them after six months had passed,” said Boyne. “We received the same kind of intrusive questions that Tea Party groups received. We are not a Tea Party group, but I have spoken at some Tea Parties.”
Though Boyne’s group only focused on educating Hispanic communities on the US Constitution and on conservative social and economic values, she said her group was treated unfairly.
The IRS sent us 27 pages of questions, they demanded recordings of every speech I’ve ever given and details about every person I know who is a politician in my life. They demanded to know how many times I had met with them and details of my personal relationships with them. Many of my closest friends are politicians and they wanted private information about my friendships.
The questions Boyne and her Voces Action group received were not only exhaustive and intrusive, but the IRS also demanded the 27 pages be answered in full within two weeks, according to Boyne. “They would say, ‘If you do not answer in the next two weeks, your application will be terminated and you will need to reapply.’”
“We did everything according to the law but we were treated like criminals,” Boyne concluded.

Brandon Darby: FBI Stranded as Mexican Cartels Increase Networks in USA

the following article is fro Brandon Darby posted at Texas GOP Vote:

FBI Stranded as Mexican Cartels Increase Networks in USA

Special Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) risk their lives and the safety of their families to protect and serve, yet politicians in Washington, D.C. have left many of them stranded, without fuel, and feeling as though their operational integrity has been compromised. As a result of politically-motivated sequester cuts, many in the FBI worry they cannot do their jobs as well as when they had adequate funding.
Some FBI offices have ordered staff not to use their government vehicles, as sequestration has left them with no monies in their fuel budgets. Without use of their vehicles, FBI Special Agents cannot do their jobs effectively. Such cuts, combined with sequestration, ripped more than $700 million from the FBI’s 2013 budget.
National security and public safety are supposed to be the top priorities of government, but were treated in the sequester as equivalent to other forms of discretionary spending. The administration has also abused its own discretion in assigning cuts, as in its controversial decision to free detained illegal aliens.
The cuts to the FBI come at a time when Mexican cartels are increasing operations in the U.S. through prison gangs, which operate outside the cell walls as the Mexican Mafia and the Aryan Brotherhood; when prosecutors are being slain in broad daylight or at home; when a federal prosecutor resigned from a case due to fears over his safety and that of his loved ones; when U.S. Border Patrol Agents have leaked images of Mexican drug smugglers being escorted by men with an AK-47 on US soil, and when there exists a high likelihood that the Mexican Gulf Cartel has begun using the Aryan Brotherhood in the U.S. as assassins and ground troops.
One FBI Special Agent spoke to me on the condition of anonymity about concerns for the men and women of the FBI and the safety of the American public. The Special Agent stated:
We are meeting at a Starbucks in the morning and carpooling in a private car. Once at the office, we are not allowed to use our government vehicles to perform our duties. I am concerned about the integrity of our mission. What is going to happen if a terrorist attack or other emergency occurs when we do not have gas in our vehicles and aren’t allowed to use them.
The Special Agent explained why they cannot use their personal vehicles in the commission of their work:
Long before money problems, there was a culture of not using our own vehicles, both because of the liability to the Bureau and because it exposes our identities and bad guys can find our spouses and children much easier. If we are doing surveillance or doing the necessary interviews with sources or bad guys that are required to keep Americans safe in our personal vehicles, they can easily find us or who we are.
Claims about the FBI’s field operations being impacted by a severe lack of funds was confirmed by both the president FBI Agents Association (FBIAA) in an exclusive telephone interview with Breitbart News and in an official statement issued to Breitbart News from the FBI Headquarters Public Information Office.
The claims of fuel shortages and Special Agents being left unable to use vehicles was confirmed only by the FBIAA, but FBI Headquarters did not contradict or deny that claim in their response to Breitbart News.
The FBIAA's president, Special Agent Konrad Motyka, confirmed to Breitbart News the most explosive assertions from the unnamed FBI source. He stated that “Rural Special Agents' jobs have become impossible in some instances because they cannot use public transportation like the FBI can in larger cities.”
“Some FBI offices are telling agents to commute in their private cars,” says Motyka . He added: “Obviously, FBI field divisions having to cut back so drastically has an effect on operational abilities. There will be fewer meetings with human sources and fewer surveillances can be conducted. Fewer investigations can be done and they will take longer.”
Motyka also addressed the long-term effects of recent cuts on public safety: “People are retiring. There's a hiring freeze, new hires are needed to replace those who are leaving. This will effect the ability to protect and serve. Our ability to use sophisticated techniques in investigations will suffer because research dollars are needed to keep up with technology.”
Motyka said the FBI was considering furloughing Special Agents for 9-14 days without pay between now and October 1, 2013. He said: “There will be fewer agents to work on cases, the investigations will suffer.”
Knowing the men and women who serve our nation in the FBI will do everything possible to carry on their mission in the face of monetary

True The Vote: Obama Campaign Targeted Citizens Trained To Prevent Voter Fraud In Ohio

the following article is is from my friend Brandon Darby posted at BigGovernment.com and also at Texas GOP Vote here: http://www.texasgopvote.com/issues/stop-big-government/true-vote-obama-campaign-targeted-citizens-trained-prevent-voter-fraud-ohio-0051601

True The Vote: Obama Campaign Targeted Citizens Trained To Prevent Voter Fraud In Ohio

Millions of Americans were stunned after watching Hamilton County, Ohio voter and Organizing for America volunteer Melowese Richardson proudly admit to casting multiple ballots for President Barack Obama. Recently surfaced emails expose how Organizing for America worked to monitor and block any possibility of a citizen volunteer catching others like Ms. Richardson in the act.
In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, True the Vote shared emails between Obama staffers discussing targeting specific individuals they believed were associated with True the Vote in Hamilton County, Ohio. Official records obtained by True the Vote indicated that the private citizens on the Obama target list were poll clerks hired by the county--not observers placed by candidates.
The email’s author, current Consumer Financial Protection Bureau employee Scott Pluta, stated with certitude that these people were affiliated with True the Vote locally.
“There are a number of elements to this finding that are concerning,” True the Vote President Catherine Engelbrecht said. “The idea that an incumbent presidential campaign would build target lists on citizens that are specifically trained to detect fraudulent behavior in the polls is truly unnerving. You would think that kind of story would be told in developing nations, not the United States.”
The election watchdog reasons the Obama campaign compiled such precise lists with well-timed open records requests for incoming emails to the Hamilton County Board of Elections from known True the Vote affiliates in the area.
“There’s nothing illegal here, it’s just unsettling to know that a candidate for public office dedicates time and effort to remove citizens that are well-versed in Ohio election code from the process,” Engelbrecht said. "If long lines at the polls are truly the civil rights struggle of the 21st Century, perhaps it’s best we don’t try to kick out the people who actually keep the line moving.”
Prior to the 2012 presidential election, True the Vote was subjected to numerous attacks from partisan organizations and media figures over concerns that its operations were contributing to alleged “voter suppression.” A quick search yields over 35 full-length segments from MSNBC prime-time programming regarding the citizen watchdog. Engelbrecht argues these attacks serve a larger purpose:
"Voter suppression is a political construct. Washington cannot wrest the responsibility of conducting elections until it chills citizen participation on the local level. Election Day bullying and media campaigns designed to label volunteers as racist are two examples we’ve seen so far. This is unacceptable. True the Vote will challenge this effort directly in 2013."

Florida Governor Rick Scott Reverses Position On Obamacare

the following article is is from my friend Brandon Darby posted at Breitbart.com and also Texas GOP Vote here: http://www.texasgopvote.com/issues/stop-big-government/florida-governor-rick-scott-reverses-position-obamacare-005166

Florida Governor Rick Scott Reverses Position On Obamacare

Florida Governor Rick Scott announced Wednesday evening he had made a deal with the federal government and would now accept Obamacare's Medicaid Expansion, the initial implementation of President Obama's Affordable Care Act.
Governor Scott had previously been a champion of Tea party and conservative grassroots efforts to prevent the expansion of Medicaid in the state of Florida. He announced this policy reversal in a hasty press conference.
Inside sources had informed Breitbart News of the Governor’s intention to announce the reversal of his stated ideals and policy decisions during a press conference Thursday morning. After the Florida chapter of Americans for Prosperity Director Slade O’Brien spoke out on the matter, Governor’s Scott’s office changed the time of the press conference to Wednesday at the end of the workday.
Tarren Bragdon, CEO of the Foundation for Government Accountability, a prominent Florida-based free-market think tank, told Breitbart News, “It is extremely disappointing to have Governor Scott do an about-face on his signature issue."
He continued, "The grassroots fight against the implementation of Obamacare, in large part, began with Governor Rick Scott and Conservatives for Patients’ Rights in 2009. He set this effort up and basically said there is no way the Obamacare’s expansion of Medicaid will happen on his watch.”
"The governor will now couch his policy reversal as 'I’ll not stand in the way of the expansion of it, if it’s introduced,'" Bragdon further stated. Slade O'Brien and his Florida Chapter of Americans for Prosperity released this statement:
Governor Scott’s announcement today is extremely disappointing. Governor Scott had been a national leader in the fight against President Obama’s healthcare takeover. He was elected because of his principled conservative leadership against ObamaCare’s overreach, and led the charge, with Attorney General Pam Bondi, to take ObamaCare to the Supreme Court. But today he came out in support of the Medicaid expansion he vowed to oppose.
The expansion of Medicaid has been at the forefront of states’ efforts to stop the implementation of Obama’s health care initiatives.

Brandon Darby: New Occupy Explosives Arrests, FBI Vindicated

Why is the liberal media always silent when their occupy wall street pals get arrested for violent terrorism plans?

The following article is from Texas GOP Vote by Brandon Darby:

New Occupy Explosives Arrests, FBI Vindicated

Two prominent Occupy Wall Street movement activists have been arrested by law enforcement for allegedly possessing a cache of weapons and explosive material in New York City’s Greenwich Village.
The Occupiers, Morgan Gliedman, 27, and Aaron Greene, 31, were visited by New York City police in due to a warrant for Gliedman over credit card theft. Once in the couple’s apartment, police claim they found the explosive materials and how-to manuals on terrorism.
According to the New York Post:
“A detective discovered a plastic container with seven grams of a white chemical powder called HMTD, which is so powerful, cops evacuated several nearby buildings. Police also found a flare launcher, which is a commercial replica of a grenade launcher; a modified 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun; ammo; and nine high-capacity rifle magazines, the sources said. Cops also allegedly uncovered papers about creating homemade booby traps, improvised submachine guns, and various handwritten notebooks containing chemical formulas.”
The arrests come at a critical time due to recent left-of-center allegations against the FBI for having apparently infiltrated the revolutionary Occupy movement. A recent document release from the FBI revealed multiple large scale investigation into the movement had occurred and many in the media continued their decades-long attack on the FBI for having looked into the movement.
Supporters of the FBI’s efforts have pointed out that the Occupy movement, though many participants may be well-intentioned, was ultimately started by individuals and groups with long histories of involvement with hostile foreign nations, support for convicted cop-killers, and advocates for arson as a political tool.
(The writer formerly worked undercover with the FBI in counter-terrorism investigations and has previously helped stop Occupy predecessors from using explosives and testified against them in federal court.)

Brandon Darby Exposes Child Sex Trafficking Cover-up by Eric Holder's DOJ

Brandon Darby has hit the national scene (again). This time, Darby has come out swinging (on TownHall.com) at Eric Holder's Department of Justice with proof that the DOJ has covered-up multiple cases of Child Sex Trafficking. This comes on the heels of Eric Holder being Held in Contempt by the United States House of Representatives for refusing to release documents in the fast and furious gun walking program that led to the death of federal border patrol agent Brian Terry.

Brandon Darby is not your average Texan. Darby is a conservative hero. Darby was once a liberal activist. Darby realized that liberal values were taking America in the wrong direction and were even becoming violent. After Darby became an FBI informant and exposed a plot by two liberal activists to bomb the 2008 Republican National Convention, Darby officially "came out" as a new conservative and began fighting to help people using conservative values instead of hurting them with liberal values.

I met Darby when he came to my neck of the woods (Lumberton, Texas) to gather info for his story NAACP Chapter President plays Race Card to Cover-up Child-Rape Charges Against His Relative. I was honored to help Darby by investigating Texas Media Bias and how The Silsbee Bee Downplayed the Child Rape Even After the Assailant Pleaded Guilty to Assault.

I followed Darby's activities and was able to interview him about how He brings Andrew Breitbart's Conservative Fighting Style to the Texas Ring. During last year's massive Texas Wildfires in Texas, Darby used the organization he founded (Citizen Patriot Response) to help victims of the wildfires.

Is New York Times Protecting Muslim Terrorists & Vilifying Christians, Conservatives?

If a Muslim/Islamist terrorist commits, or plans to commit, an act of terror, you can count on the New York Times, and other liberal media outlets, to seemingly cover-up the fact that the terrorist is a Muslim. On the other hand, these same media outlets have no problem bashing Christians and Conservatives, even trying to link Christianity and the Tea Party to terrorism. This is not a single incident. I have noticed this shocking pattern over years of reports coming from these media outlets like the New York Times and even some Texas Newspapers like the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Even President Obama’s Administration has tried to protect Muslims from getting a bad name when they commit acts of terror.

See the following News Articles Below as Proof of this Pattern of Bias:

New York Times Headline: “Army Doctor Held in Ft. Hood Rampage” No mention of Nidal Hasan being a Muslim and yelling Allah before he started shooting… http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/06/us/06forthood.html

New York Times Headline: “Nigerian Indicted in Terrorist Plot” The underwear bomber is simply a Nigerian and not a Muslim terrorist… http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/07/us/07indict.html

New York Times Headline: “From Suburban Father to a Terrorist Suspect” This article is about the Times Square bomber who is a Muslim terrorist. There is no suspect at first. When a suspect is found, the headline refers to him as a "suburban father…” http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/05/nyregion/05profile.html?adxnnl=1&adxnnlx=1311720053-Xt4EIYfc+Fd5DqCD/4sYtA

New York Times Headline: “Soldier Arrested in Suspected Bomb Plot Had Series of Disputes With Army” Yep, apparently this Muslim Terrorist who was going to detonate a bomb outside of Fort Hood, TX only had a dispute with the Army. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/30/us/30awol.html?scp=1&sq=Naser%20Abdo&st=cse

Fort Worth Star-Telegram Headline: “Arlington Woman Sentenced to 10 Years in Federal Prison” So two Muslims are caught with bombs in Texas and are convicted and sentenced to prison, but the Fort Worth Star-Telegram makes no mention of them being Muslims. They only label the woman involved as an “Arlington Woman.” http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/09/texas-arlington-woman-sentenced-to-10-years-for-car-chase-pipe-bombs.html

Fort Worth Star-Telegram, in a 9/11 Editorial, called the 19 Islamic Jihadists who attacked America “19 Sinister Men.” Yep, they didn’t attack America because they were Islamic Jihadists. They did it because they were Sinister Men… http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/09/texas-arlington-woman-sentenced-to-10-years-for-car-chase-pipe-bombs.html

New York Times Columnist Has to Apologize for Comparing Tea Party Members to Terrorists Yep, The Tea Party Rallies are always peaceful and have never created violence, but this New York Times Columnist compared the Tea Party to Terrorists… http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/06/opinion/the-tea-party-take-two.html?ref=joenocera

New York Times Headline: "As Horrors Emerge, Norway Charges Christian Extremist" http://www.nytimes.com/images/2011/07/24/nytfrontpage/scan.jpg

The New York Times does not like to let people know when a terrorist is a Muslim, but they had no problem labeling the lone, nutjob gunman, Anders Breivik, in the Norway massacre as a “Christian Extremist” even though he was not a Christian at all!

He actually denies being an actual Christian. Breivik stated in his Manifesto that "myself and many more like me do not necessarily have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God." He also stated in his Manifesto that "I'm not going to pretend I'm a very religious person as that would be a lie. I've always been very pragmatic and influenced by my secular surroundings and environment.”

The fact is, Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik's is not Christian but anti-Islam. His ideology is fuelled by a loathing of Muslims and 'Marxists', his writing spurred by conspiracy theories. He quotes all different people from different political spectrums. He even quotes Thomas Jefferson!

He was not a Christian but the New York Times was quick to label him as one on their front page before they even knew anything about him.

This is similar to when the New York Times Incorrectly Said that the Shooter in the US Rep Giffords Arizona Shooting, Jared Loughner, was Inspired by the Peaceful Republican Tea Party Movement, when in fact he was just a random, crazy nutjob, certainly not acting in the name of Jesus or the Conservative Republican Movement. He was actually found to be aligned more with the left-wing than the right-wing and he liked the Communist Manifesto.

Did Breivik or Loughner yell Jesus before they started shooting? I think not!

New York Times Editor Equates Christian Faith with Belief in Space Aliens - I would like the New York Times to compare the Muslim Faith to believing in Aliens.

http://blog.beliefnet.com/news/2011/08/ny-times-editor-equates-christian-faith-with-belief-in-space-aliens.php#ixzz1ftMSLnVs

The New York Times was Forced to Issue a Correction about the Lie the Told on Conservative Brandon Darby Yep, the New York Times says Conservative Hero, Brandon Darby, was the one who encouraged a leftist terror plot to bomb the 2008 Republican National Convention. Darby had actually been working with the FBI and stopped the terror plot. Darby sued. The New York Times had to “correct their article” and remove the lie about Darby having encouraged the bomb plot. http://bigjournalism.com/retracto/2011/03/16/update-after-getting-sued-new-york-times-finally-issues-correction-on-brandon-darby-article/

Lawmakers Blast Obama Administration for Calling Fort Hood Massacre 'Workplace Violence' - That’s right, the Fort Hood Shooting had nothing to do with a Muslim who wanted to kill American’s. It had nothing to do with the government’s political correctness that prevented this M from getting fired even though the government was warned of this Doctor’s Muslim Extremism. According to the Obama Administration, this was just a simple case of “workplace violence.” http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/12/06/military-growing-terrorist-target-lawmakers-warn/?test=latestnews#ixzz1ftWoQVaQ

Texan Brandon Darby Forcibly Removes Occupy Orlando Activists at Sheriff Joe Tea Party Event (Video)

This news and video first broke on Andrew Breitbart’s website this past Saturday.

Former liberal activist/turned tea party conservative Brandon Darby and Sheriff Joe Arpaio were featured speakers at the Choose Liberty 2012 event sponsored by the Eastern Orlando Tea Party. As Sheriff Arpaio took the podium, Darby called security over to point out Occupy Orlando activists where in the audience of the private event preparing to cause a disruption. When the activists tried to interfere with Arpaio's right to speak and the tea party's right to peaceably assemble, Darby and Chad Biddinger of Libertylink.com escorted the trespassers out in an emphatic way.

Brandon Darby is a conservative hero and a friend. He saved the 2008 Republican Convention from a liberal bomb attempt and he has been fighting for conservative values ever since. I have had the pleasure to work with him on past issues like school financial corruption in BISD and the attempted cover-up of a Silsbee Rape case. He even sat down with me and did an interview for Texas GOP Vote about how Texans can fight the left like he does using the Andrew Breitbart model. Darby recently created an organization called Citizen Patriot Response. Darby used this organization to provide support and supplies to victims of the massive Texas wildfires in 2011.

I was not at all surprised when Darby sent me a text with the link to the video of him saving the day from Occupy Orlando Protesters at a Private Tea Party event. Darby was able to sniff these liberals out before they started their disruption. Great Job! If only we had more Texans in other Occupy Wall Street Protests to help stop these radicals from acting out violence in their protests. On the flip side, not one Tea Party member was arrested in the peaceful Tea Party protests that changed America

Smokey the Bear caused the Wildfires in Texas? American Economy next to Burn?

by, David Bellow

Go to Bottom of Article to See How You can Help Wildfire Victims and FireFighters

In an effort to save the forests, our actions might actually be destroying the forests. In the same way, the U.S. Government’s actions to save the economy might end up destroying the economy.

Smokey the Bear - Fire Suppression has caused the Massive Wildfires in Texas

Forests need natural fires to burn so that the problems can be burned away while they are small and without causing damage to the trees. This also allows new trees to sprout and nourishes the rest of the forest. By putting out any small, natural fires, we have allowed the underbrush to build up so that when it does burn, it is devastating and the whole forest burns, trees and all.

For instance, Arizona Ponderosa Pine forests burned every 2 to 8 years before European settlement, and these natural lightning strike fires increased vegetation diversity. Tree density was much lower than it is today, so when fires did occur, they were cooler. Good intentions of saving the forest by not allowing any fires have actually caused more damage to the forests than what the small fires would have caused if allowed to burn.
The Healthy Forests Restoration Act of 2003 was proposed by President George W. Bush. The main thrusts of the law are to thin overstocked stands, clear away vegetation and trees to create shaded fuel breaks, and provide funding and guidance to reduce or eliminate hazardous fuels in National Forests.

As a result, we see a lot more prescribed burns to try to burn this buildup of underbrush and fix this problem that we have created. This law was a good start, but there is so much buildup of underbrush in so many places that we will see massive wildfires like what we now have in Texas for many years to come.

The United States Economy is also on the Brink of Being Destroyed by “Self–Inflicted, Massive Fires”

The United States Government has been suppressing the small fires that pop up in the economy. Much like the suppression of natural forest fires, this will end up being devastating for the economy in the long run. It is not always a bad thing for businesses to fail, to go bankrupt, to re-organize, to learn from their mistakes, to correct the problems. This allows bad practices and problems to be burned away and allows new businesses with better practices to sprout up, or forces the bad companies to change their course and learn from their mistakes. By continually putting out the natural fires in the economy by bailing out the bad businesses and not allowing “natural fires to take their course”, we now have an economy that is filled with a large understory of flammable brush that is ready to ignite and burn the entire economy. That problem is compounded by the massive debt that the U.S. Government has built up, which will eventually require huge tax increases to pay it off, which will in turn hurt the economy even more.

Good intentions of saving the economy by not allowing any fires has actually caused more damage to the economy than what the small business fires would have caused if allowed to burn. We let our feelings get in the way of reason and what is best for the long term. Now the economy is in danger of a massive and devastating wildfire. Just like President Bush did in 2003 by proactively starting to remove underbrush in the forests, we must also immediately stop allowing underbrush to grow in the economy. We must allow small fires to burn, and we must also stop feeding the massive U.S. debt.

Texas Wildfires: Call To Action - Click Here to Help! Shelter Available! Brandon Darby of Citizen Patriot Response is Leading the Effort!

Update: List of drop off locations added at bottom of this message

More than 1,000 homes have burned near Bastrop in one of the most destructive and largest fires in Texas history. Over 180 fires have erupted across our state in the past week alone.

Citizen Patriot Response requests Tea Party, 9-12, and other liberty-minded individuals and groups to organize efforts to assist the roughly 1,200 firefighters working on the frontlines of this historical outbreak of Texas wildfires.

Citizen Patriot Response is preparing to begin delivering cold bottles of water to firefighters in the Bastrop area in an effort to do our part. Many other organizations and individuals in Texas are doing the same. We need support, we need more efforts initiated across the state, and we need communication and collaboration between group leaders to ensure that men and women fighting the Texas wildfires have full support.  For example, Mike Flynn at Andrew Breitbart's biggovernment.com is helping by spreading word of the call to action.  It's so inspiring to see people use their energies to help support our public servants who are defending our state and Texans' homes.

The Citizen Patriot Response headquarters and shelter is located in Hays county and now has limited space available for Texans left homeless by the wildfires.

Families living in emergency shelters in schools and churches are requesting the following so please contact grocery stores, churches, offices, and friends and request:
  • Toiletries
  • Underwear
  • Socks
  • Diapers
  • Bedding
  • Pillows
  • Walmart gift cards (small denominations)
  • Gas cards
  • Non-perishable food products
The Citizen Patriot Response Shelter is requesting single mattresses and assistance in building bunk style beds.

Please send or bring the needed items to one of our designated aid centers.

Texas Media Bias: The Silsbee Bee Downplays Child Rape Case Even After Assailant Pleads Guilty to Assault

Media Bias in Small Town America... the Residents of Silsbee Deserve Better from their Local Paper!

By, David Bellow

I first heard of what the Beaumont Enterprise dubbed the Silsbee Rape Case a couple of years ago from reading about it in one of the local newspapers, The Silsbee Bee. For over a year I read articles that gave me the impression that this alleged rape victim was not really a victim at all and she was probably just making it all up. Over the last few months, I started to hear some of the facts of the case, and it really started to get me thinking that maybe there was more to this story than what was being told. I have since found out that there was much more to the story and, just this past month, Liberal Caroline Heldman and Conservative Brandon Darby published shocking stories that shed light on the real facts of the Silsbee Rape Case.

We were all wrong in our assumptions of the case thanks to The Silsbee Bee and their questionable reporting of the case. There is a great injustice that has been done to the victim as a result of everyone believing the advocacy disguised as journalism of The Silsbee Bee instead of looking deeper to find the truth.

Did Gerry Dickert, Editor of The Silsbee Bee, downplay the Rape Case and Side with the Assailant in the Silsbee Bee Articles?

Media bias is real, and in a small town like Silsbee, Texas, the bias of the local newspaper can allow for massive cover ups and one-sided reporting.

In October, 2008, a minor girl claimed she was raped at a party. Two men, Rakheem Bolton and Chris Rountree (plus a minor male) were arrested on charges of rape of a minor. In September, 2010, Bolton was finally convicted of assaulting the minor girl.

Since the 2008 assault, the case made national headlines when the minor girl was kicked off of the school’s cheerleading team when she stood silent and did not cheer while her assailant was at the free throw line. The victim was being forced to yell, “Two, four, six, eight, ten, come on Rahkeem, put it in!”

You would expect the local newspaper to present both sides, but they did not. In over two years of covering the case, Gerry Dickert never once published any interviews with the victim or her family to get their side of the story. However, numerous articles featured interviews with the defendants and their families. For comparison, the nearby Beaumont Enterprise covered the case more comprehensively and frequently included statements from both sides like this article.

One of the most egregious examples of bias at The Silsbee Bee involves their coverage of an NAACP press conference held one week after Bolton and Rountree were indicted. The Bee posted a video of this NAACP meeting online with no context and no opposing views. And of course the paper also did not reveal that the President of the Jasper NAACP, Billy Ray Robinson, is the Great Uncle of Bolton (the convicted assailant) and Robinson used the NAACP to try to get these guys off the hook. See Brandon Darby’s Article, NAACP Chapter President Plays Race Card to Cover-up Child-Rape Charges Against His Relative. Is this ethical?

Similarly, The Silsbee Bee posted a video featuring a statement from Rountree’s mother, again without context, that was filmed right after the NAACP press conference. The caption reads, “Martha Jordan, the mother of Chris Rountree, speaks out about the support she and her family have received from the community of Silsbee. She is joined by Chris, center, and his sister, Chelsea Morgan, left.” This video is sheer promotion of one side of the story, not journalism.

Silsbee Bee Editor Dickert even went on a National News show trying to defend the school’s decision to kick the victim off of the cheerleading team, and he tried to discredit the accusations of the minor female victim. Notice how the interviewer is frustrated with his line of reasoning and cuts him off. Gerry Dickert also wrote an article slamming the national media for the attention it was giving the Silsbee rape case. He even claimed that the school did not ask the victim to limit her activities at the high school, even though this claim by the victim is backed by a school official and another member of her cheer squad.

Newspapers have an obligation to report on all sides in a story, not advocate for one side while essentially making the other side silent. This is especially true in small towns like Silsbee where opinions can be set by coverage in the local paper. Not once did I find that The Silsbee Bee presented the full facts about the story, despite the fact that the details are publicly available in the police records. Not once did The Silsbee Bee report the fact that the witnesses at the party heard the minor girl say “no” and “stop,” that these witnesses broke through the door, that the accused fled out a window, or that the girl was found on the floor under a pool table half naked and crying. The Silsbee Bee never reported that Bolton was heard by several witnesses threatening to come back and kill the people at the house where the rape occurred. The Silsbee Bee has all the police records about the Silsbee case and knows all of these facts but never reported them. See the facts of the case in Caroline Heldman’s article, A Cheerleader’s Rape in Silsbee, Texas: The Victim on Trial.
The Silsbee Bee did however report that a principal from Silsbee got a threatening email from an unidentified person after the school kicked the victim off of the cheerleading team. And after Bolton plead guilty to assaulting the minor female, they ran a story in which the men accused of rape were portrayed as the real victims. And in their unusual form, The Silsbee Bee did not interview the victim or her family. The Silsbee Bee also ran a story showing how much the county spent to convict Rakheem for assault, and The Silsbee Bee suggested that the $20,000 spent on the rape case wasn’t worth it.

WHY Would The Silsbee Bee Trick us With Their Biased Reporting?

Why would Gerry Dickert and The Silsbee Bee purposely slant their coverage of the Silsbee rape case? Dickert’s political and family ties tell an interesting story. Dickert previously worked on the political campaign of a county-wide elected official and was on the Silsbee Economic Development Board so it would seem that he has an interest in covering up bad publicity for the City of Silsbee. Dickert also worked with Silsbee Councilman Thomas Tyler while on the Silsbee Economic Development Board that granted Tyler’s employer, Cowboy Autoplex, a grant of $200,000 taxpayer money to build a new car dealership. Tyler is cousin to both Bolton, the convicted assailant, and Shannon Robinson, the man who drove the accused away from the scene of the crime that night. And this isn’t the first time The Silsbee Bee covered up a Tyler family problem. Thomas Tyler Jr., Thomas Tyler’s son, ran for Justice of the Peace against Robert Ward, Jr. whose father issued the arrest warrants in the Silsbee rape case. When Tyler, Jr. was running for Justice of the Peace, The Silsbee Bee refused to publish the police report of an incident where Thomas Tyler Jr. had an arrest warrant requested for him for allegedly beating his girlfriend even though the Hardin County News allowed the police report in their newspaper.

In the same election though, The Silsbee Bee had no problem reporting that a Republican candidate in Hardin County had some speeding tickets past due.

Lastly, although it is not uncommon for random people to be your friends on Facebook, the fact that Rakheem Bolton’s stepfather is Facebook friends with Gerry Dickert AND Gerry Dickert’s kids AND siblings shows that the Dickert family has close ties with the Bolton Family.

The bottom line is that it appears Gerry Dickert has unrevealed ties to the Silsbee assault case, and given his biased coverage, it seems that he slanted his reporting of the rape case to favor the admitted assailant. And this isn’t the first time his coverage has been affected by his politics and friendships. The residents of Silsbee deserve better from their local paper.

Brandon Darby Brings Andrew Breitbart’s Fighting Style to the Texas Ring

Darby speaks on media, Breitbart vs HuffPo, and organizing in Texas

I recently caught up with Brandon Darby in Silsbee, Texas. The former prominent Leftie community organizer turned hero and patriot was working on bringing attention to what has been dubbed the Silsbee Rape Case. I took this opportunity to ask him about the stir he’s been creating and the stir his friend, Andrew Breitbart has been creating with the whole Huffington Post/AOL ordeal. I really want the reader to understand how the leftist media works and how they can fight it here in Texas using the Breitbart Model that Brandon Darby explains to us. Here are some excerpts from my interview with Mr. Darby.

Brandon, How have you been able to fight off the leftist attacks against you? You’ve been gone after more than most, yet you’re still standing? How has this been possible for you?

Yes. The ad hominem has been heavy. I implore what I affectionately call the Breitbart model. That is, I identify their framing, what interests where behind the framing, and I expose them. I refuse to operate within the confines of their narrative.

Can you give our readers some examples of this?

Take the brilliant work James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles did on Acorn. When Breitbart released the Acorn tapes on biggovernment.com, Acorn’s funding was teetering on the cliff’s edge. It just so happened that Acorn’s founder, Wade Rathke, had been attacking me and publically made the comment that it was a shame I had snitched on the two anarchists who had intended to firebomb law enforcement and delegates at the 08’ RNC. On the day of the vote to cut funding, I was part of an effort to reverse Rathke’s statement about me and make sure lawmakers saw Rathke’s true colors. The headline became “Acorn’s Founder Wade Rathke Expresses Regret that Republicans and Cops Didn’t Get Burned and Maimed.”

The Left is a huge fan of using character assassination instead of discussing the issues at hand. They made constant efforts to frame me as a womanizer with a voracious sexual appetite. I grew tired of defending this and doing interviews about whether or not I was this or that. I just started saying outrageous statements to them and it shut a lot of that down. When they ask if I’ve had sex, I usually respond by saying that I didn’t have as much as I would’ve liked to have had. Sometimes I’ll just bring it up in an interview with them because it feels good to express that their attack doesn’t bother me. It’s probably not the best thing to do, but it is empowering and they always get a strange look on their face.

Brandon, How can this style of talking back expose the truth when all the leftist media is trying to twist the truth?

It’s simple. It uses the attacks of the institutional Left Media as fuel to go after their bias. It is impossible for them to attack you and not provide you a platform at the same time. Use the platform. Identify how the platform can best benefit the ideology you believe in. Find others who agree with you and always talk back. When they express their dislike of me having worked undercover with the FBI, I respond by expressing my disgust at their being more upset by my undercover work than they are with the fact that their Left movement spawned violence and bomb making. Sometimes the only point needed to be made is that there are other perspectives that would see their framing as biased.

Brandon, Texas is pretty conservative; Do you feel that Media in Texas is out of step with Texans?

Though most of the citizens in Texas are conservative, most of the Texas Mainstream media is not. There are minor examples and more egregious examples. Take Texas Monthly, a minor example. Many on their staff are patriotic Americans and proud Texans. They do wonderful work on sharing our great state’s culture and heritage. The magazine did a reasonable piece on issues surrounding immigration and Illegal entry into our state. They fairly presented several different perspectives. Yet in terms of their coverage of Texas law enforcement, the matter gets more complicated. Some of the political writers are out of step with Texans in the subtle disrespect they showed the Texas Rangers. They did a profile of the Rangers in the same issue they profiled the Banditos in. The subtle implication was that the two organizations were somehow comparable. In addition to this, they were very unkind to the FBI in a piece they wrote regarding a case I was involved in. They took the Austin Chronicle narrative and it was that of the cop-hating radical Left. Speaking of the Austin Chronicle, they are a great example of raging liberal bias. The nexus between them and the Texas Observer is a strange one where law-enforcement are routinely defiled and voice is given solely to those who strongly dislike our country. No one calls them out for having reached into their little ideological diapers and smearing their proverbial leftie feces on the men and women who serve in law enforcement.

Why is it important to combat this Bias?

When subtle smears are constantly unchallenged in the Left’s desire to frame Texans reality and perceptions, they eventually do. It is important to identify the Left’s efforts and to expose them for what they are. Allowing an untruthful narrative to go unchallenged is detrimental.

Brandon, how can Texan's use the Breitbart model to combat leftist media in a way that can truly challenge the status quo?

Fighting back smart is definitely part of what I call the Breitbart model. Another aspect that is just as important is replicating the manner in which Breitbart builds conservative activists. Where most conservative media outlets have sought out writers, Breitbart not only does this, he also does what could only be called “community organizing.” I try to replicate this by travelling to various counties across the state, identifying where there are patriots who show heart by fighting against liberal corruption, and then doing everything possible to support and encourage them to write and blog. I try to connect them with other patriots so they know they are not alone and can build upon each other’s ideas and efforts. That’s what Breitbart did for me and my values, so now I try my best to replicate this. Hopefully, those folks will do the same too.

How has the Left gotten away with this for so long?

There’s a lot behind the how and why of it all. Mostly it has to do with two things. Patriots haven’t paid attention and just assumed that most people wouldn’t listen to the Left narrative due to the insanity of it, and patriots have historically not seen the need or recognized the value in organizing. Thankfully, those days are coming to an end.

There’s been a lot of commotion lately regarding the Huffington Post going after Breitbart and calling him a “race-baiter.” They even said his posts can’t have prominent placement any longer. What are your thoughts on all of this?

First of all, the Huffington Post is AOL. They are to be held accountable as much as Arianna Huffington is. What they did was clever. Huffington sold out to AOL, thus showing that disdain for capitalism is profitable and capitalistic. The Left was pissed. The website was under attack from many camps on the Left. They agreed to let him post on their site. They figured he would say the same critical comments of race-baiters like Van Jones as he usually does. They waited for him to call out Van Jones and then made a huge issue out of calling Andrew out. Thus, they are no longer under attack from the Left and they were able to reclaim their solidarity with the Left. I think they set him up for that and I think it was short sighted to say the least. Did I mention that I think Van Jones and his support of cop-killers is vile and stinky?

Thanks for taking the time to talk and good luck with what you’re working on. Anything else you’d like to say to our readers about your style of journalism?

I’m not a journalist. I’m an advocate, like most journalists. I just wish most journalists would admit that too.
