After Redistricting, State Rep Mike Hamilton and State Rep Allan Ritter (both are moderate Straus Chairmen) were put in the same district together.

Mike Hamilton packed up and moved to Hardin County after redistricting but right before the election to run against Super Conservative State Rep. James White (White voted against Straus).

The question is, did Rep. Ritter bribe or pay off Mike Hamilton to get him to move to Hardin County so that Ritter and Hamilton do not have to face each other, and so that their leader Joe Straus would be happy because James White would have an opponent?

Straus is Behind Master Plan to Defeat Conservatives who Voted Against Him

Joe Straus has made good on his threat to hurt anyone on redistricting who voted against Straus. Most of the super conservatives in the Texas House of Representatives were hurt in redistricting. Especially in east Texas. Joe Straus had to tread lightly in redistricting with James White though because the DOJ and Republicans might have gotten suspicious if Straus would have redrawn James Whites district to hurt him or pair him (White is one of only 2 black republican State Reps and it a super conservative who got stellar conservative rankings from all conservative scorecards)

Because Straus did not want to openly attack a black, super conservative Republican, he devised a plan to secretly pair James White with one of his Chairman.

After redistricting, James White appeared to have his own district. He did not get paired with any other Republicans. Not so fast! Rep. Hamilton, a Straus Chairman, was going to have to face another Straus Chairman Rep. Ritter. Instead, Hamilton moved to Hardin County to run against White.

Are you telling me that Straus paired two of his Chairmen in redistricting, Ritter and Hamilton? Are you telling me that Straus did not know that Hamilton was going to move to Lumberton, TX to run against White? OF COURSE STRAUS KNEW! That was the Straus Plan. The plan was to pair two of his Chairmen together knowing full well that one of those chairmen was going to move to Hardin County to run against White. This plan allowed Straus to say he did not hurt Black State Rep. White in redistricting when in fact he actually did hurt White because he knew that his Chairman Hamilton was going to be moving to Hardin County which is in James White's new district.

In the latest Campaign Finance Report, it was also discovered that many of the Chairmen for Straus have given over $100,000 to Hamilton's campaign. One of these Straus Chairmen contributing money to defeat James White is Rep. Larry Phillips. Rep. Phillips, you might remember, was the State Rep. accused of calling conservative State Reps. and telling them that they will be hurt in redistricting if they vote against Straus. White voted against Straus. See how everything fits together? It is all part of the plan....

Other Chairmen for Straus are also funneling money to fellow Chairman Hamilton in order to beat James White. Another of these Chairmen is Charlie Geren. Rep. Geren even gave $50,000 to Hamilton in just ONE check out of the many donations and loans that Hamilton has received from fellow Straus Lieutenants.


James White vs. Mike "Tuffy" Hamilton election is also about Casinos and Expanded Gambling

Straus has a HUGE personal financial interest in casinos and expanded gambling in Texas because of the racetracks that his family owns. Straus wants Casinos and expanded gambling so that he can make some extra money at the expense of gamblers who can't pay for food for the family because they have an addiction to gambling. One of his racetracks was even bought by a Las Vegas casino that has bet on cashing in once Straus gets the Texas Legislature to pass a casino and expanded gambling bill. The key to passing this bill is Straus Chairman Mike Hamilton.

State Rep. Mike Hamilton is chair of the licensing and regulations committee. This is the committee that a gambling bill would come out of. Of, what do you know, last session Hamilton WROTE a gambling/casino bill and did everything he could to try to pass it. He could not get enough votes so he killed the bill until next year.

Corrupt Murphy Turner Political Consultant Funded by Straus and working for Hamilton - Restraining Order Against Murphy Turner for Lies and Deception


Isn't it just coincidental that the Joe Straus supported Political Consultants are being used all across Texas in campaigns that attack and are trying to oust conservative Republicans?

Murphy Turner is so corrupt and deceptive in their campaigning that they even have had a restraining order issued against them. Apparently, Murphy Turner is trying to help their liberal and moderate candidates by starting a fake organization called "Texans for Fiscal Accountability." This fake organization has endorsed the bad candidates in an attempt to try to trick people into thinking that the real, legitimate "Texans for Fiscal Responsibility/Empower Texans" has endorsed these bad candidates when in fact "Texans for Fiscal Responsibility" actually opposes these bad guys. This deception caused a judge to issue a restraining order against Murphy Turner.

Murphy Turner is also sending out lies and deceptive material against James White. For instance, only flyer from Mike Hamilton says that Rep. James White was rated the second most liberal when in fact, James White is one of the TOP conservative Republicans in all of the legislature. All of the conservative organizations and even the liberal media acknowledge James White as a top conservative and NOT even close to being liberal.

Investigation: Rita Ashley SBOE 7 Candidate Lying about Her Democrat Votes & Not Living in District in race VS. Conservative David Bradley

Attention Texas Conservatives:

All Conservative State Board of Education members are under attack by liberals and moderates in this Texas Primary Election 2012. We MUST fight back. The following article is just one example of the deception and attacks that conservative SBOE members are facing.

Is there something in the water over here? This is the second article I have written this week about a southeast Texas candidate lying. Rita Ashley is lying about her Democrat votes and she is lying about living in Austin by saying that she lives in Beaumont. TX

Rita Ashley, who is running as a Republican for State Board of Education against Super Conservative SBOE member David Bradley, released a statement saying that the reason she voted in recent Democrat Primary elections is because she "voted for Allan Ritter who was a Conservative D and is now an R - he had a contested primary and there were no contested races in the R Primary."

I did a little investigating and discovered that her statement is completely false.

The truth is that Allan Ritter ran unopposed in the 2006 Democrat Primary Election. Rita Ashley said she only voted Democrat because "conservative" Democrat Allan Ritter had a contested race and there were no contested Republican races but this is factually incorrect. Rita Ashley LIED. Rita Ashley simply just wanted to vote Democrat and now she is telling people false information to try to paint herself as a conservative Republican.

Rita Ashley has also lied about where she lives. Rita Ashley has a nearly 1 Million dollar condo in Austin, TX. This condo has a homestead exemption which means it is Ashley's main residence. Rita Ashley's husband works in Austin. Rita Ashley works in Austin. Up until she filed to run for office, she had her voter registration in Austin, she had her Austin address as her driver's license address and her mail is currently still forwarded to Austin. She denies living in Austin though. She claims to live in Beaumont still. The address she claims to live at is a warehouse in an industrial district in downtown Beaumont. The warehouse is not even zoned as residential so she is not even allowed to live in that warehouse! The warehouse does have a section fixed up where someone could live, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that Rita Ashley's million dollar condo in Austin is her home where she has been living until she decided to run for SBOE.

Instead of being honest with the people of SBOE District 7, Rita Ashley has chosen to lie and be deceptive. That is not a quality I want in a person in charge of the educational standards for Texas.

Rita Ashley is a Moderate put up by liberals and moderate Republicans to run against Conservative Republican David Bradley. In fact, ALL Conservative SBOE members in Texas have moderates and liberals running against them.

Rita Ashley has recently teamed up with the liberal group Texas Freedom Network to attack Christian Conservative David Barton and accuse him of breaking the law simply for supporting David Bradley for re-election. David Bradley is the founder of Wallbuilders and the former Texas GOP Vice Chairman. Barton is one of the most trusted and respected Conservative Republican leaders in all of Texas. He is frequently seen on the Glenn Beck and Mike Huckabee shows. Why would Rita Ashley team up with TFM to attack him? TFN is an organization that seeks to push a liberal agenda in our public education. TFN was founded by Cecile, the daughter of former Democrat Governor Ann Richards. Cecile is now the president of national Planned Parenthood. TFN supported removing our Pledge of Allegiance from public schools and they advocate for homosexual marriage.

Rita Ashley is even absurdly sending out information saying that David Bradley is a liberal Democrat. This is ABSURD! There is NO dispute that David Bradley is THE MOST conservative leader on the SBOE. Liberal newspapers attack him for being so conservative. Conservative organizations praise him for being so conservative. It is universally accepted by EVERY liberal and conservative organization in Texas that David Bradley is conservative and not even close to being moderate. Bradley fought in this last term against the MANY attacks from liberals who were trying to force a liberal, anti-American agenda into Texas Public Education. Ashley tries to grab at straws and say that Bradley is for big government because Bradley thinks school districts like Beaumont ISD should be kept in check. BISD, a school, tried to build a hotel last year for crying out loud! Talk about waste at a time when school districts are saying they do not have enough money for education. They are an out of control school district and the SBOE is the Constitutionally elected group of people who are supposed to oversee education in Texas. Bradley is of course AGAINST, and has fought against Obama's federal big government intrusion into Texas public education.

Rita Ashley is being Supported by Liberals and Moderate Republicans. It is interesting that no conservatives or conservative organizations have come out supporting Rita Ashley. On the other hand, Rita Ashley is endorsed on her website by State Rep Allan Ritter, a moderate Republican who even voted against defunding planned parenthood and got only a 28% conservative rating by the Texas Eagle Forum. She is also endorsed on her website by SBOE member Bod Craig who is a liberal SBOE member who has fought against conservative Christian values and has voted with Democrats over 64% of the time on the SBOE.

A big reason why Rita Ashley was put up to run against David Bradley is because David Bradley and the conservative majority of the SBOE kept the Permanent School Fund from being raided and depleted. The Permanent School Fund is money that the State of Texas has to help the State pay for education. The SBOE uses this fund wisely so that there is still money in the account for all future years and growth. Many people wanted this fund to be raided last year. The conservative members of the SBOE stood against attempts to deplete this fund and protected it for future years while still giving a significant amount to education last year.

Texas “Winner Take All” is NOT about Romney or Santorum. It is about TEXAS

Texas MUST go to Winner Take All in order to be relevant in this Presidential Election. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain! This has nothing to do with Santorum or Romney. It is about TEXAS. Also, the RNC and DOJ cannot stop us or scare us!

I am a Santorum supporter and I am a Texas GOP SREC member in favor of an Emergency Meeting to go to Winner Take All, but it is very important to make it clear that I have been for winner take all WELL BEFORE I was a Santorum supporter. In fact, I was never in agreement with Texas being forced by the RNC last year to change from to Winner Take All to proportional. My past blog articles serve as proof that winner take all has never been about Santorum for me because I have been for Winner Take All well before I supported Santorum. My support for winner take all has always been about giving Texas a voice and making us relevant. We are the biggest Republican State in the nation and we are always overlooked! Could winner take all for Texas benefit Santorum? Sure it could. That is why the Santorum campaign is really getting on board with this and it is exciting his base. But it could also benefit Romney if he comes here and campaigns hard because with his money and network he could win Texas and get all of our delegates under winner take all. Winner take all is not about Santorum or Romney. It is about giving Texas a voice and getting candidates to recognize Texas and campaign here and have debates here.

Texas GOP SREC Members are for Winner Take All to Make Texas Relevant, Not to Help Santorum or Hurt Romney

The media is making it look like the push for winner take all is about trying to help Santorum. The truth is that Santorum supporters are not the only SREC members in favor of winner take all. In fact, the entire SREC (including Romney supporters) voted to last month to pass the resolution warning Romney to come to our debate. That is proof that this is not about Romney or Santorum. We are just tired of being ignored. This is about making Texas relevant instead of having candidates ignore us every election. A national debate can give Texas a place in the national race and it is insulting for the frontrunner Romney to reject coming to our Nationally Televised Texas Presidential Debate. Winner take all will make Texas relevant on a national level because all the candidates will want to come to TX to compete for our 155 delegates. Winner take all will shake things up and keep the race alive until Texas votes. Santorum will compete hard in Texas because he wants to keep Romney from getting 1144 delegates and force a brokered convention. Romney will want to come to Texas and campaign here to try to get our 155 delegates to help secure his bid for the nomination. This is not about Santorum or Romney. This is about Texas. Considering all the national attention we have stirred up, I think it is safe to say that it is already working!

The DOJ and RNC will not Hurt or Stop Us from going Winner Take All

In February, I proposed going back to Winner Take All but the SREC voted against it because we did not have an election date set in stone yet and there was fear that the DOJ would push our election day back even more if we tried to go back to Winner Take All. Now that our election date is set in stone, the DOJ does not worry us anymore. If we go to Winner Take All now then what do we have to fear from the DOJ? The DOJ cannot push back our election. The only thing that the DOJ can do is to say no and try to get an injunction to stop us from going to Winner Take All. What do we have to lose? I do not think the DOJ will reject it anyways because if they do reject us then that just sets us up to be able to sue them because it is CLEARLY unconstitutional to tell Texas that we cannot be Winner Take All, but at the same time they allow other states to be Winner Take All.

As far as the RNC goes, we are not worried about them either. We followed their rules and went to proportional when our election was before April. Now that our election is after April, due to liberals and a federal court unfairly pushing our election back, we should be allowed to be Winner Take All like everyone else. The RNC has no authority to punish us anyways. Only the national convention can do that. The RNC spokesman try to say that we will for sure be punished, but in reality, they cannot punish us and the only way we can be punished is if someone at the national convention objects to what we did and then the entire body would vote. I do not believe that the majority of the national convention delegates would vote to penalize Texas for going Winner Take All because any state with an April or later Primary is allowed to be Winner Take All.

Proportional is not More Fair vs. Winner Take All

If you run for city council with 2 other people do you split up the city council seat based on the percentage of the votes you get? NO. The person who gets the most votes wins the city council seat. The same thing with the Presidential race, there is no proportional “popular vote” in the Presidential race. If a candidate wins a state in the November General Election then they get all of the Electoral College delegates from that state. The same thing should apply to the Republican Nomination. The Republican candidate who wins Texas should be the candidate that the State of Texas gets behind. Otherwise we might as well throw states rights out the window and just go to a nation-wide popular vote (proportional).

We Have Nothing to Lose But Everything to Gain! Let’s go Winner Take All!

Ultimately, we have nothing to lose but everything to gain. We are completely irrelevant now as it is so no threats of penalties can make us any more irrelevant than we already are. On the other hand, we have everything to gain by taking a shot at changing our rules and possibly putting Texas in the spotlight and making us a must win state that candidates will not want to ignore. Win or lose, we should stand up for Texas and fight back against us slipping off into not ever being relevant. Our message to America should be 'Don't Mess With Texas' the race is not over, bring it on!

Urgent: Texas GOP “Winner Take All” Emergency SREC Meeting

Now it is time to take it to the next step. Now it is time to do something that we should have done a long time ago. Now is the time for Texas Republicans to have a voice and be relevant. It is time to go back to winner take all!

We need 15 members of the 62 Texas Republican Party State Republican Executive Committee members to sign a petition in order to call for an emergency meeting of the SREC to change the Texas GOP rules back to us being a Winner Take All state instead of being proportional.

We already have 15 or more members ready to sign the petition to call this emergency meeting.

Before we turn in the petition and call the meeting, we want to make sure we have enough support from all the other SREC members. Things are looking good so far! Call your SREC member and ask them to support an emergency meeting to go back to winner take all.

Once we see that we have enough support from the rest of the SREC, we will then turn in the petition and call the emergency meeting.

Texas Needs to be Winner Take All to have a Voice and be Relevant

As a member of the SREC and I have advocated for several months and written many articles advocating for Texas to go back to winner take all in order to have any kind of relevancy in the Republican Presidential race. I never wanted to go to proportional in the first place and I made it know at the SREC meeting last year when we voted to go proportional. We were forced to go to proportional though because of the RNC rules that said any state primary election before April would have to be proportion. The liberals and the federal courts have pushed our election back to well after April so now we need to go back to winner take all to be able to have a voice in this presidential race before it is over! Why should other states with April and later elections get to be winner take all and Texas can’t? It is a shame that Texas is the largest Republican state in the nation and we are ignored and never have a say in the Presidential race. We have 155 delegates and if we put all of our delegates behind the candidate who wins Texas then we can really have an impact. Candidates will come to Texas to campaign because they will not want to risk losing 155 delegates in a race where 1144 delegates are needed to win the nomination. 

The Republican Presidential Race is NOT Over Even Though Romney and the Media Says it is

No one is even close to winning the 1144 delegates needed to win the nomination. No matter what Romney and the media says, you cannot win the Republican Nomination until you have 50% or more of all the Republican Delegates in America supporting you. If you cannot win at least 50% of the delegates then that means that 50% of more of America wants someone else and there will be a brokered convention where the delegates can come together and decide who the nominee will me. Texas can have a huge impact if we go back to winner take all. The media says the race is over but it is not. With the vote being split 4 ways in nearly every state election, it is very possible that no candidate will get the 1144 needed to win and that would force a brokered convention. Certainly no candidate will have 1144 delegates before Texas votes May 29^th, 2012. With 155 delegates, Texas could force that brokered convention if, for instance, the voters of Texas give all of our delegates to Santorum over Romney, which is what the polls are showing now.

Mitt Romney has Ticked off Texas Republicans

 This is not about Romney though. It never has been about Mitt Romney. From the beginning, going back to winner take all has always been about giving Texas a voice in the presidential race. The only way we can do that is to be winner take all. I have been for winner take all well before we had any idea of who would still be in the race today. I have advocated going back to winner take all well before Santorum was even doing well in the polls. Going to winner take all has never been about Romney. The only reason Romney has entered this controversy now is because he decided to ignore the largest Republican state in the nation. He has so far told us he does not want to come to our nationally televised Texas debate and has told us the race is over and that he does not need us. Now Texas Republicans are mad and we have a message to Romney. Don’t Mess With Texas! The race is not over! We have 155 delegates so you better not ignore us, especially if we go back to winner take all! The SREC has passed a resolution warning Romney that it will not be good for him is he does not care about Texas and if he snubs our debate.

David Barton of Wallbuilders, along with Kelly Shackelford and Michael Quinn Sullivan, have released the following message in Support of Winner Take All:

Texas' Role in Choosing the President We in Texas know that we are a significant force in national conservative politics. After all, we have the largest Republican congressional delegation of any state, and ours is a conservative delegation! We also have 155 delegates at stake in the presidential primary – that’s more than the famous first five primary states combined (Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida, and Nevada). Those five states are considered to have set the tone for the entire presidential race, but Texas has not spoken yet – and we can speak with a louder voice and with more impact than all of those states! Under our winner-take-all system, our 155 delegates have a significant impact on any presidential race. But this year, the Republican National Committee was poised to penalize Texas for holding our primary in March (as we always do) by imposing on us a proportional delegate count, so the Republican Party of Texas moved away from our normal presidential procedure. But then the federal courts got involved and delayed the Texas primary until May. So Texas now has an opportunity to regain its unified voice by going back to a winner-take-all primary. Contrary to what you may have heard from the national media, the race for the Republican presidential nominee is far from over. After all, only 37% of delegates have been assigned so far; and the media has been completely wrong on the number of delegates that separate Romney from the others (particularly the oft-repeated Associated Press count) – the actual count shows the gap to be much narrower than claimed. Texas can therefore have a clear and powerful voice in selecting a conservative Republican nominee for president by moving back to a winner-take-all system. All it takes is for the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) to call a meeting and make the rule change before the Texas primary vote. Please contact your SREC member and ask them to convene and make that change; and also contact the Republican Party of Texas and let them know that you want to see Texas regain its national voice. Please act on this as quickly as possible - Texas, as the biggest conservative state in the country, should be allowed to speak with the loudest voice!! Dewhurst Says Meeting at Obama Friend House was No Fundraiser for TX GOP Senate Race

This morning I posted a story on from BigGovernment.com regarding a meeting for David Dewhurst held at an Obama friend’s house. This story form Big Government alleged that Dewhurst had a fundraiser at the house and got cash from these Liberals.

Since then, there have been new developments. David Dewhurst has sent BigGovernment.com a response stating that the meeting at this house was NOT a fundraiser.

Every 2 years there is a Republican Primary Election in Texas. On the Republican Primary ballot are propositions that the ENTIRE State of Texas votes on if they vote in the Texas Republican Primary. For instance, on the 2010 Primary election ballot there were propositions on the ballot regarding whether or not Texas should require voter id, and also whether or not Texas should require sonograms before abortions. The Republican voters in Texas approved both of those propositions and the Texas Legislature went on to pass laws similar to those propositions.

Last month I sent out an email asking all fellow Republicans to tell me what propositions that they think should be on the Primary ballot in 2012. I got over 50 responses with many good proposition ideas. I sent those ideas to my fellow SREC members.

On December 3^rd, 2011, the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) voted to determine what propositions should be placed on the 2012 Texas Republican Primary Ballot.

There were MANY great ideas but there are a limited number of propositions that can be on the ballot.

Below are the 4 Ballot Propositions that were approved by the SREC to be placed on the 2012 Texas Republican Primary Election Ballot.

This is what you will see when you go to vote. The SREC also passed a 5^th ballot proposition regarding redistricting, but that proposition might not need to be on the Primary Ballot now that the Redistricting battle is in the US Supreme Court.

Ballot propositions adopted at the December 3 SREC meeting

SCHOOL CHOICE:

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school, public or private, while also saving significant taxpayer dollars. Yes or No.

REPEALING OBAMACARE:

Congress should immediately repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (otherwise known as Obamacare) and reject the rationing of healthcare by government or the intrusion by government into the doctor - patient relationship. Yes or No.

PUBLIC PRAYER

Government should be prohibited from restricting the content of public prayer. Yes or No.

BALANCED BUDGET / COMBINING GOVERNMENT GROWTH
Out of control spending should be stopped at all levels of federal and state government through constitutional amendments limiting any increase in government spending to the combined increase of population and inflation without voter approval.  Yes or No.
