Pat Buchanan: 'Whites Are the Only Group That You Can Discriminate Against Legally in America Now'

Syndicated columnist Pat Buchanan made a statement Friday guaranteed to make liberal media members' heads spin.
During a discussion about Affirmative Action on PBS's McLaughlin Group, Buchanan said, "Whites are the only group that you can discriminate against legally in America now" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

 

JOHN MCLAUGHLIN, HOST: Are you saying college admissions should be based on diversity?
ELEANOR CLIFT, NEWSWEEK/DAILY BEAST: Yeah, I mean, I think lots of factors go into diversity. I think race can be one of them, and I think the Supreme Court so far agrees with that.
MCLAUGHLIN: 67 percent opposed it, 28, you’re in the minority. Only 28 percent are in favor of it.
PAT BUCHANAN: It should be based on excellence, John.
CLIFT: As long as the Supreme Court agrees with me, I’m fine.
BUCHANAN: It should be like the NFL: whoever’s the best player plays, and whoever does best academically should be advanced. What is wrong with that?
MICHELLE BERNARD: Here’s a question I have. One of the things I always say because I think you can measure diversity in a lot of ways, but I think there’s an argument to be said that the greatest Affirmative Action program that there is in the country is being born white. There is a natural assumption when you are applying to institutions of higher education that you are excellent or you are more superb than others.
BUCHANAN: With due respect, whites are the only group that you can discriminate against legally in America now.

It may be a shocking thing to say on television, but is Buchanan right?

Racist Chicago Alderman Warns of Violence if More Blacks Are Not Hired Based on Race

I thought this week was going to go by with everyone getting along and no racist stuff in the news. I was wrong.

I will love it when racism is a thing of the past in America. When we do not look at each other based on race. unfortunately, that will never happen as long as people keep making race an issue by falsely playing the race card and thinking it is ok to reverse discriminate. More discrimination is not the way to end discrimination!

Like this Alderman up in Chicago. This guy, Anthony Beale, is threatening violence if  a transportation project does not hire more black people. Yep, forget being color blind and equality and everyone getting hired by the same standards. This alderman wants this project to go above and beyond the federal requirements and he wants people to be hired based on nothing more than race.....

Can you imaging a white guy saying there will be violence if more white people are not hired for a project? There would be outrage! There is a double standard in America.

Beale predicts violence if Metra doesn’t hire more minorities for rail project

An influential alderman warned Metra’s executive director on Thursday that “people are going to get hurt” if the commuter rail agency fails to bolster minority participation on a $133 million South Side railroad bridge known as the “Englewood Flyover.”
Ald. Anthony Beale (9th), chairman of the City Council’s Transportation Committee, did not explain who he believed would “get hurt” or who the perpetrators might be. But, he was clearly referring to civil disobedience or maybe even violence at the construction site.

“I’m trying to help you help yourself. When I say that, problems could arise. When you look at a community like Englewood [that] is challenged and you have over $1 billion of work coming through and there’s no people of color working on that project, I’m afraid people are going to get hurt,” Beale told Clifford during Thursday’s committee hearing.

"Blacks for Obama" Racially Segregates Voters - Affirmative Action in Supreme Court

During Black History Month, Obama released a new video announcing the launch of BLACKS FOR OBAMA. (see video below)

This is an attempt to segregate voters based on RACE instead of voters joining together in groups based on VALUES. Minorities actually tend to be conservative in their beliefs and they are waking up to the realization that Obama is WAY TOO LIBERAL. So what do you do? You take the focus off of the values and you put the focus on race and drive a racial divide through the Heart of America.

Not only is it racist to segregate voters by race, it also shows how hypocritical things are in America.

Whites for Romney? Whites for Clinton? Whites for anyone White who wants to run for office? Of course those groups would never exist in America. That would be racist! But blacks for Obama is not racially dividing at all right? For the record, I would be against any groups (white, black, Hispanic) that are formed together solely on the basis of race instead of formed on the basis of values. I believe people should vote for someone based on the content of their character and not the color of their skin. I don't care if you are black, white, Hispanic or whatever. I will vote for you if you are a conservative and I will vote against you if you are a liberal. I fully support Ted Cruz for US Senate (Cuban) and one of my most favorite Texas State Representatives, and one of the most conservative Republican State Representatives in Texas, is State Representative James White (Black).

Jasper TX City Council Hires Black Police Chief based on Race, not Qualifications - White Officers Get Demoted - new Chief has Criminal Record - Several Lawsuits Filed

UPDATE 9/14/11: since this article there have been many new events. more discrimination lawsuits have been filed against the city. The recall petition was successful. The council chose to illegally not put the petition on the ballot. A court ordered them to put it on the ballot. Pearson has fired one of the white officers who went was also in the running for police chief. The council even just voted to give Pearson a $5000 raise even though the city does not allow anyone to get a raise until after they have been there for a year. Pearson has been there 6 months....

Racial, Renegade, Out of Control City Council and Police Chief in Jasper, TX

Much like the out of control City Council that Alex Jones reported about in Quartzsite, Arizona, the City of Jasper, TX is also under siege by its renegade and out of control City Council and Police Chief.

In April 2011, The Jasper, TX City Council hired a new Police Chief. Rodney Pearson, who was most recently working in the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department, is the new Police Chief even though he has a criminal record and no qualifications and his former boss says he should not be put into leadership. This new police chief even ranked at the very bottom of the city council’s own candidate rankings of the over a dozen candidates for the position. The City Council did not even allow any discussion about why they chose Pearson after a local Reverend stood up at the City Council meeting and told them not to discuss it. Four of the five City Council members are black.  The top candidates passed up for the job are white. Since the hiring earlier this year there have already been 5 lawsuits filed against the City Council for racial discrimination in hiring the new Police Chief based on the color of his skin and not the council’s own candidate selection process.

Now the Mayor of Jasper, TX says that this new Police Chief is retaliating against the white candidates who applied for the police chief position and had higher rankings than him. The three Jasper Police Officers who applied to be Police Chief have been demoted without cause and against the proper rules and procedures that have to be followed in order to demote anyone in the Jasper Police Chief. Not to mention this new Police Chief has filled these officer’s old positions without consent of the City Council even though there is a strict hiring freeze in place.

There are now petitions circulating to recall this renegade city council but the City Council is trying to make their changes permanent. This city council is trying to place the new police chief on a contract. The Jasper Police Chief has never been under a contract and has always been an at will employee. A contract would mean that a future City Council will not be able to fire this new Police Chief without having to make a large payout.

It is not certain how this all will end or how much the taxpayers of Jasper will have to spend as a result of the racial discrimination lawsuits. One thing is certain though, the Jasper City Council and Police Chief are out of control and they deserve to be recalled and new council members elected to serve the city.

Renegade public officials are not uncommon here in East Texas. Earlier this year I wrote an article about three Upshur County elected officials being charged with official oppression for kicking a man out of the meeting because he wore tape over his mouth, and here in Hardin County we have a Justice of the Peace, Butch Cummings, who rigged his election by forcing his opponent to drop out of the race.

I don’t like discrimination against any race. I wish there really was a time, like Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed of, where people are judged by the context of their character and not the color of their skin. Unfortunately, racism still exists and it is happening against all races, including racism against white citizens.
