Happy Easter - Christ is Risen!

Happy Easter Everyone!
I hope everyone is spending this Easter holiday with their families and friends!

It is important that, in the middle of our bickering over political stuff, we stop and remember that there are more important things in life.

At the end of our debates, regardless of the outcome, we should all come together and move forward and we should always stop along the way to remember the things that are more important.

Sincerely,
David Bellow

John 3:16-17
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.

N. Korea Threatens Nuke Missile Strike on Austin, Texas

North Korea Dictator Kim Jong Un has signed orders putting his rockets on combat ready status, and, according to Kim Jong Un's U.S. Mainland Strike Plan, Austin, TX is one of his top 4 American cities targeted by this potential nuclear missile strike (see picture of strike map below from NKNews.org). Occupy Movements, plastic bags, and Hippie Festivals are no longer the greatest threat to this liberal controlled Texas City. This actually brings up a valid question though. What is America doing to protect the Homeland from a strike like this coming from the Gulf of Mexico or countries south of the United States of America?
When Americans think of a potential missile strike, it is safe to say that most people would assume the missiles would hit either the East of West Coast. Not many people would name a city in Texas, for instance, when asked about a potential missile strike against the United States of America. Both the East and the West Coasts of America have defense measures in place. In fact, the new Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, recently announced, possibly in response to N. Korea, a plan to add 14 more missile interceptors in Alaska to protect the West Coast. Hagel is also requesting to beef up the missile defenses of the East Coast, likely in response to Iran. What about states like Texas? What if a missile strike came up from the Gulf of Mexico? What defense measures are in place? Why do southern states not have as much protection as the other coasts?

In fact, while the West and East Coasts are beefing up their Air Defense Systems in 2013, Obama is actually trying to shut down air defense systems along the southern border of the United States (including along the U.S. Mexico Border and the Gulf of Mexico Coast). Just a couple of months ago I broke this story: Obama Closing Air Defense System on U.S./Mexico Border: Texas & America Vulnerable to Attack from Low Altitude Missiles and Aircraft. After widespread outrage, the Air Force has said they would keep this Tethered Aerostat Radar System air defense system up until at least the end of this year instead of closing TARS at the beginning of the year as originally planned.

When planning for an attack from the enemy, all options must be considered. This includes the option that a country planning to attack the U.S. knows the East and West Coasts are well protected and therefore the country will try to attack a less protected state along with Gulf of Mexico. Just last year, a Russian nuclear-powered attack submarine armed with long-range cruise missiles operated undetected in the Gulf of Mexico for several weeks.

Why attack Texas? Is anyone surprised that North Korea's hit list includes the capitol city of Texas? You shouldn't be surprised. The Republican controlled State of Texas is a shining example of hope, prosperity, opportunity, and economic stability in America. In fact, the State of Texas is a perennial top 15 largest economy in the world compared to entire countries.

Voting is a Right; Marriage is Not, by Kyle Scott

from Texas GOP Vote by Kyle Scott

Voting is a Right; Marriage is Not

Voting is a right; marriage is not. The case of Hollingsworth v. Perry currently before the Supreme Court raises the question of whether California’s restriction on gay marriage is constitutional. However, a question just as large looms in the background and could be even more damaging to the nation if the Supreme Court moves to strike down Proposition 8. Proposition 8 was approved by a majority of California voters through a referendum in the 2008 elections. The question before the Supreme Court is not just whether gay marriage is constitutionally protected by the Fifth Amendment but whether we still live within a republican system of government. If the Supreme Court decides to overturn Proposition 8, it will have violated the rights of California voters for the benefit of a small minority whose rights were never at risk.
Judicial review is a fundamental part of a republican system of government as it allows for the minority to have recourse when its rights are trampled by the majority. And restricting the majority from taking advantage of the minority is one of the benefits of a republic over a democracy, and a republic is what we were given by our founders, which was nowhere more clearly explained than in James Madison’s Federalist Paper #10.
But this is not what the Court is being asked to do in this case. The Court is being asked to overturn a law that does not threaten or strip any group of a right.
In order for judicial review to serve its purpose, and not step into the area of judicial activism, the Court can only overturn popularly enacted laws when those laws violate rights. However, not everything qualifies as a right. Just because a person or a group wants something does not mean it is a right.
The clearest definition of rights can be found in an Aristotelean understanding of human nature which serves as the basis of virtue ethics and serves as a foundational aspect of the philosophies of Thomas Aquinas and St. Augustine. Moreover, the Aristotelean justification of rights is what our natural law understanding of rights is built upon as it was handed down to us by our founders, most especially Thomas Jefferson.
Aristotle determined that man was by nature a political being because he needs to communicate and reason. Thus, a person, to reach their full personhood and live naturally, must be free to communicate and reason. Rights are grounded in this understanding of human nature. A right is something that allows a person to communicate and reason. Voting is a right because it allows an individual to communicate with the political establishment. Censorship is a violation of one’s rights because it stifles a person’s ability to reason and communicate. Coercion, compulsion and bribery are unethical because they deny a person’s ability to reason and think freely.
Marriage is not a right because it does nothing to stop reason or communication. And because it is not a right, the Supreme Court should restrain themselves and let the voice of the majority in California stand. In fact, the Supreme Court would violate the rights of the voters of California by overturning Proposition 8.
In this instance, gay and lesbian couples have not had their rights violated; they simply lost on a policy issue. Had the voters of California denied gays and lesbians the right to vote in the 2008 elections when Proposition 8 was on the ballot, or if California passed a law that would only allow heterosexuals to vote or have the freedom speech, then an appeal to the Supreme Court could be justified. But in this instance there has been no violations of rights which would make any decision to overturn Proposition 8 an abuse of our republican system of government.

Reminder: How Mexico Treats “Undesirable” Foreigners, by Michelle Malkin

From Michelle Malkin's website:

Reminder: How Mexico Treats “Undesirable” Foreignersby Michelle Malkin
Creators SyndicateCopyright 2013

American politicians in both parties are stampeding all over themselves to pander to Mexico and adopt mass illegal alien amnesty schemes. But while the Mexican government lobbies for more “humane” treatment of illegal border crossers from their country into ours, Mexico remains notoriously restrictionist toward “undesirable” foreigners who break their laws or threaten their security.
Despite widely touted immigration “reforms” adopted in 2011, Mexico still puts Mexico first — as any country that is serious about protecting its sovereignty should and would.
Article 33 of Mexico’s constitution establishes the right of the president to detain and deport “any foreigner” and prohibits foreigners from participating “in any way” in the political affairs of the country.
While you read this passage, dwell on the demagogic rhetoric of meddling Mexican consular officials and lobbyists who assail America for its (poorly enforced) detention and deportation policies:
“The President of the Republic shall have the power to expel from national territory any foreigner, according to the law and after a hearing. The law shall establish the administrative procedure for this purpose, as well as the place where the foreigner should be detained and the time for that. Foreigners may not in any way participate in the political affairs of the country.”
Article 32 of Mexico’s constitution unapologetically bans non-native born residents from holding sensitive jobs and joining the country’s military. Preference is given unabashedly to Mexicans over foreigners.
While you read this passage, contemplate the inexorable push by open-borders groups to secure illegal alien “rights” to American jobs, American military assignments, American driver’s licenses, discounted U.S. college tuition and Obamacare:
“Only Mexicans by birth can perform all government employments, positions, or commissions in which the status of citizenship is indispensable. During peacetime, foreigners shall neither serve in the Army nor in the police bodies. During peacetime, only Mexicans by birth can serve in the Army, in the Navy or in the Air Force as well can perform any employment or commission within such corporations.
The same condition applies to captains, pilots, skippers, ship engineers, flight engineers and, in general, to every crew member in a ship or an airplane carrying the Mexican flag. In the same way, only Mexicans by birth can be port harbormasters, steersmen and airport superintendents.
Mexicans shall have priority over foreigners, under equal circumstances, for all kind of concessions, employments, positions or commissions of the government in which the status of citizenship is not indispensable.”
While amnesty advocates and civil liberties zealots in the U.S. decry “police state” tactics against illegal aliens, Mexico fiercely maintains laws against illegal border crossings; “verification visits” to enforce visa conditions; requirements that foreigners produce proof of legal status on demand; and enforcement and cooperation between and among immigration officials and law enforcement authorities at all levels in Mexico. Native-born Mexicans are also empowered to make citizens arrests of illegal aliens and turn them in to authorities.

Gov. Rick Perry: Texas wants its Gold from the Federal Reserve

from WND.com:

WND EXCLUSIVE by Garth Kant

Why Texas wants its gold back from the feds

More security 'in the event of a national or international financial crisis'

“The eyes of Texas are upon you” goes the song, but right now those eyes seem to be squarely focused on the financial crisis in Cyprus.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry is supporting a bill that would return the state’s $1 billion in gold reserves currently stored by the Federal Reserve at a vault in New York to the state.

The sponsor of the bill, State Rep. Giovanni Capriglione, R-Southlake, told the Texas Tribune, “For us to have our own gold, a lot of the runs on the bank and those types of things, they happen because people are worried that there’s nothing there to back it up.”
Bank runs were the great fear in the Mediterranean-island country of Cyprus today, as banks reopened for the first time since March 16, while the European Union imposed unprecedented austerity measures on the nation, including confiscating money in bank accounts. WND reported on March 18 the concerns that the crisis could spread to the U.S. financial system.
Capriglione said his bill is, “not about putting Texas on its own gold standard, [but instead will] give the state a reputation as being more financially secure in the event of a national or international financial crisis.”
“If we own it,” Perry told Glenn Beck last week, “I will suggest to you that that’s not someone else’s determination whether we can take possession of it back or not.”
Capriglione’s bill would establish the Texas Bullion Depository to hold the gold.
“We don’t want just the certificates. We want our gold. And if you’re the state of Texas, you should be able to get your gold,” said Capriglione.
However, he concedes transporting $1 billion worth of gold bars would be impractical, so he suggests selling the gold and repurchasing it in Texas.
The bill might get bipartisan support. State Sen. Rodney Ellis, D-Houston, called the bill “an interesting concept” and wants to consult financial experts on its merits.

Indicted and Arrested! Former Jasper, TX Police Chief's Son, Ronnie Pearson, gets Child Rape Charges

The East Texas Corruption Stories Continue (with no end in sight). You Heard the Story Here First!
Ronnie Pearson

I have just confirmed with the Jasper County Jail that Former Jasper, TX Police Chief's son, Ronnie Pearson, has been indicted and Booked on charges that include sexual assault of a child and indecency with a Child. Kudos to Texas Ranger Ken Parks and Hardin County District Attorney David Sheffield for investigating and securing the indictment.

Ronnie Pearson was indicted March 26th, 2013 by a Jasper County Grand Jury. His indictment did not initially appear on the list of indictments from the Grand Jury because it was a field indictment. That means the indictment was not released to the public until Ronnie Pearson had been arrested and served the indictment and charges. After I posted this article, KBMT 12 News is the only news outlet so far that has run a story about this shocking news, Great Job KBMT!

I first broke a story last year revealing that there was an investigation into Fired Jasper Chief Rodney Pearson Covering-up of Child Rape Charges Against his Son Ronnie Pearson. This story was double shocking because, not only did you have allegations of a child getting raped and then allegedly forced by the rapist to get an abortion at Planned Parenthood, but you also had allegations that controversial Jasper Police Chief Rodney Pearson had tried to cover up the rape and not investigate. Unfortunately, I was not able to get any local media to cover this shocking story because the investigation was secret and so the media could not really verify the allegations like I was able to with my sources. I even had some people who probably thought I made the whole story up, haha. Well, I certainly do not make things up and this indictment is finally the proof that should get the media to cover this shocking story.

This indictment against Rodney Pearson's son is also more proof to show that Rodney Pearson was fired from being Police Chief for good cause. The left wing national media circled the town of Jasper last year with outrageous claims that Rodney Pearson was being fired only because he is black.

After being fired, Rodney Pearson played the race card, alleging that he was fired because he is black. Those who opposed Rodney Pearson as Police Chief included both black and white Jasper Residents. Those who opposed Pearson as Police Chief have always presented evidence showing that their opposition to Pearson was not about race and instead was due to him lying about his criminal record, lack of qualifications compared to other applicants, accusations that Pearson discriminated against White police officers and fired/demoted them, and other problems with his performance as Police Chief, including allegations of him committing sexual assault. Furthermore, the same Jasper residents who opposed Pearson have overwhelmingly just elected a black conservative State Representative James White over his white opponent.

Flawed CSCOPE Needs SBOE Oversight says State Board of Education Member David Bradley

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 26, 2013

SUBJECT:  CSCOPE CURRICULUM

From:  DAVID BRADLEY, State Board of education, District 7

Contact:  Theone Bradley
                    bttbradley@yahoo.com

Many are asking questions about the accessibility, content and structure of CSCOPE, which is now being used in 80 percent of Texas school districts. Some call it “curriculum,” while others describe it simply as “lesson plans.” Its development began a decade ago when teachers were looking for lesson plans to align with new standards being adopted by the State Board of Education (SBOE). By law, curriculum is reviewed by the SBOE, while lesson plans are not. In essence, CSCOPE is now an online curriculum program marketed to individual school districts by members of the Regional Education Service Centers. It was not coordinated through the Texas Education Agency, and it was never reviewed or approved by the SBOE to assure conformity with Texas curriculum standards.

Concerns regarding parental access stem from the ten-page CSCOPE contract that teachers are required to sign prior to using the curriculum. It prohibits educators from showing CSCOPE content to parents. This directly conflicts with the state law assuring parents the right to review any and all curriculum used in public schools to instruct their children. In this same vein, it took the Chairman of our Education Board six months to obtain an access password from CSCOPE developers known as the Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative (TESCCC). The TESCCC board is comprised of the 20 executive directors of the 20 publicly funded Regional Education Service Centers in Texas. Access to their meetings and minutes was repeatedly denied until the Texas Attorney General insisted that their meetings be posted and open to the public in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.

Reports of questionable CSCOPE content range from viewing the Boston Tea Party as an act of terrorism to requiring students to design a flag for a new socialist country. One document handed out during a 2012 CSCOPE summer training session called for rigid compliance with CSCOPE content, stating that steps should be taken to ensure that “individual teachers do not have the option to disregard or replace assigned content.” Yet today, the CSCOPE website claims that CSCOPE curriculum is “customizable” and “aligned with” Texas state standards.

Also of concern is the fact that state employees have used public funds to develop a product and are then turning around and selling it to Texas schools. Texas taxpayers are essentially paying for the work twice. And despite protestations that the Regional Service Centers have yet to “break even on their investment,” any amount of money paid for CSCOPE multiplied by four million Texas students is a hefty sum! In my mind, there is an obvious conflict of interest when employees of the Regional Service Centers decide to market their own product to a captive audience of school districts that they are already employed to serve.

In order to cut costs and bolster competition, SB 6 of the 2011 legislative session expanded the term, “instructional materials,” to include hardware, software, etc. Textbook money is now sent directly to individual school districts, which are no longer required to purchase SBOE-approved curriculum that has been reviewed and certified as conforming to state standards. This month, the Texas Legislature took measures to regulate CSCOPE after learning of the issues described above. Senators Dan Patrick and Donna Campbell filed SB 1406, which, if passed, would require CSCOPE to come under the authority and scrutiny of the SBOE.

We have apparently come full circle. In the quest for taxpayer savings, we are being double-billed, and higher state standards are being set aside for online curriculum that can be changed with a simple keystroke. In the short term, SB 1406 needs our support so CSCOPE can be brought under the review of the SBOE to ensure content compliance for our Texas students. In the long term, new legislation and contracts must be developed for the new era of online education resources so we can continue to ensure Texas’ high standards of content are met.

Chinese Rocket Crashes in East Texas - Authorities Confirm Debris in Jasper County

A Chinese Rocket Crashed in the East Texas near Buna, TX in Jasper County. Farfetched? Conspiracy theory? Actually, this story is true!

Early morning February 27th, 2013 there were reports of bright fireballs over East Texas and West Louisiana skies.

Robert Lunsford of the American Meteor Society determined that the fireball event was the result of Chinese Rocket CZ-4B crashing back to earth.

Lunsford made his determination using information from Aerospace.org that says the rocket was launched May 10th, 2012 and was expected to re-enter the atmosphere on February 27th, 2013. Aerospace.org also posted a map that showed the trajectory of the rocket. The trajectory brought the rocket over the area where the lights were seen (see image below).

Now, nearly a month later, Dean Gents in Jasper County contacted KBMT Channel 12 news in Beaumont, TX to report debris found on his property. Dean Gents emailed me a couple of pictures that he took when he discovered the remnants of this Chinese Rocket (see 2 pictures below). KBMT 12 News went out to the property and found that one beach ball size object left a 9 inch crater (see picture of debris above from KBMT)

NASA has been contacted about the debris but they have not responded. An Aerospace Engineer from California did respond and he believes the debris is a pressure tank from the Chinese Rocket CZ-4B that was seen crashing to earth in the early morning of Feb 27th, 2013.

The Jasper County Judge Mark Allen is seen in the picture below with the rocket debris. Judge Allen says that similar rocket debris was found weeks earlier at a nearby property.

Chinese Rockets crashing down in Texas? Believe it! Makes you wonder what else the Chinese has flying over America with cameras or even weapons....

Jasper News Editor Arrested for Stealing Money from School Band Booster Scholarship Program - East Texas Corruption

I seems like every week I am posting about some kind of East Texas corruption... I have for sure written several articles about Jasper, TX already.... below is another example of the corruption going on here in East Texas. I do not have time to write my own article about this so the article below is from Steve Stewart posted at KJAS.com:

Posted: Sunday, March 24, 2013 5:13 pm
Jasper Police say a member of the Jasper Band Boosters has been arrested after nearly $8,000.00 was allegedly stolen from the organization over the course of the last several months. Officers say that on Friday, Band Booster Club Treasurer Jimmy Galvan, who is also the editor of the Jasper Newsboy, turned himself in at Jasper Police headquarters. Galvan later appeared before Municipal Judge Robert Jackson and was officially charged with felony theft and was later released.. Detective Garrett Foster said the investigation began when the president of the club, Jimmy Hensarling, began receiving calls from students who reported that their scholarship checks were not clearing the bank.
Foster said Hensarling checked the club’s bank balance, and discovered that there was a discrepancy in the books.
According to Foster, detectives began looking at financial statements from the bank and comparing them to information provided by Galvan and the booster club. Foster said it was discovered that approximately $7,868.00 was missing.
According to Foster, Galvan was interviewed on Friday, March 15th, and he reportedly confessed to the crime.
On Sunday, Galvan said that he had been advised by his attorney not to comment

Julian Castro Investigated for Accepting Illegal Campaign Money along with 8 other San Antonio Texas Democrats

The Following is a Press Release from the Texas Ethics Advisory Board posted at Push Junction:
Texas Ethics Advisory Board
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, 22 Mar 2013
Mayor, eight City Council members Investigated for Over 1000 Violations of Texas Election Law

In an official response to nine Sworn Complaints, the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC) has notified most members of the San Antonio City Council they are being investigated for multiple campaign finance violations.

Mayor Julian Castro, Council members Cris Medina and Diego Bernal had the most alleged violations at over 200 each.

The Sworn Complaints allege 41 instances of accepting donations from corporations. Corporate donations are, if done knowingly, a 3rd degree felony offense. All nine complaints alleged these offenses. Well known names include MacDonalds, Inc., Holiday Inns, Inc. and Texas Associaton of Realtors.

The Texas Ethics Advisory Board (TEAB) reports that more than fifteen more Sworn Complaints will be initiated on the corporations who contributed to the council members campaigns. Pending the results of the TEC investigations, the TEAB will refer any felonies to Bexar County District Attorney Susan Reed.

Another frequent complaint was the diversion of campaign funds to personal use. If confirmed, this would make Mayor Castro and Council members Cris Medina and Diego Bernal and others civilly liable to the State of Texas including court costs.

Other frequent alleged violations of State law included failure to report out of state travel, filing late reports and having serious contribution balance discrepancies – unaccounted for money.

Mr. Jim Doyle, Mr Bill Berntsen, Mr. Alvin Schleiske and Mr. Tom Curry, well-known Woodlands TEA party supporters and community activists, filed the complaints after noticing the alleged campaign finance violations.
The Mayor and the eight council members will have to answer to the allegations with an explanation or corrected reports or both by April 15.

They signed their campaign finance reports under the penalty of perjury, and bear the responsibility for checking their reports accuracy and fully disclosing the information required by state law.

Making a false, material, perjurious statement during or in connection with an official Texas Ethics Commission proceeding constitutes aggravated perjury, a felony of the third degree.

Doyle, Berntsen, Schleiske, Curry and the TEAB are members of a large group of citizen-taxpayers in suburban Houston and surrounding counties who conduct statewide audits of progressive candidates, officeholders and political action committees who have long been contributing to the runaway growth of government and the loss of constitutional authority. In this case, the approval by the San Antonio City Council of spousal benefits for homosexual couples brought scrutiny by the above mentioned complainants.

“EVERYONE’S SAVINGS” BILL SURPASSES BENCHMARK NUMBER OF COAUTHORS, FAVORABLY REPORTED

Measure to Expand Savings Opportunities for Low-Income Families Gains Over 110 Co-Authors, Favorably Reported Out of Ways and Means Committee

(Longview) – Representative David Simpson (R-Longview) announced today that HB 78, a bill that will expand savings opportunities for low and middle-income families, has surpassed 110 co-authors. The “Everyone’s Savings” bill removes the requirement to collect sales taxes on the purchase of gold and silver coins and bullion below $1000. Currently, purchases above $1000 are not taxed, allowing higher-income Texans to save and invest in precious metals without a tax penalty.

“This bill will remove a barrier to savings for low- and middle-income families,” said Rep. Simpson. “For a long time, higher-income families have been able to protect their earnings by investing in precious metals without a tax penalty. HB 78 will afford that same opportunity to everyone.”

HB 78 enjoys broad support in both parties and across all parts of the state. The bill was referred to the Ways and Means Committee where it was last night reported favorably and unanimously to consideration by the full House.

Ways and Means Committee Chairman and bill joint-author Harvey Hilderbran also stated, “With HB 78, the Legislature has the chance to expand savings opportunities for all Texans, regardless of income or class. This is about basic fairness for all our citizens. I am glad to joint-author the bill and encourage my fellow legislators to help us pass this common sense measure.”

A nearly identical measure was adopted by the House through floor amendments last session but was not included in the final conference committee bill.

Representative Simpson, Republican from Longview, serves House District 7 which is comprised of Gregg and Upshur counties.

Texas Teacher Wears "Vote Obama" Shirt at Lumberton ISD - Vulgar, Anti-Christian/GOP/Fox News Pics on Twitter - Uses CSCOPE

This woman is not the teacher, this is one of the
pictures posted on the teacher's Twitter page
During the November 2012 election, several students claim that Lumberton High School teacher Michelle Champagne paraded around the high school wearing a shirt with a picture of Barack Obama and "Vote Obama" written above the picture. This Texas teacher also has vulgar, anti-Christian, anti-Republican, anti-Fox News, anti-Rick Perry messages and pictures posted openly on her Twitter page and says her fellow Lumberton residents “cling to guns and Bibles.” One tweet on her Twitter Page even refers to a Christian Cross as a Swastika! It is no surprise that this teacher also says she relies heavily on the flawed CSCOPE curriculum!

The recent Lumberton ISD Muslim Burqa Lesson and CSCOPE curriculum controversy has apparently encouraged other students and parents to speak out about things that have happened in Lumberton schools. Over the past month I have been contacted about all kinds of incidents, including this one. Parents in other cities are also standing up and speaking out. Just today I saw that a parent in Flour Bluff, TX exposed a CSCOPE approved supplement lesson that blamed the 9/11 terrorist attack on America.

I 100% believe that the Lumberton School Board and Lumberton Administration are NOT trying to push liberalism on any children. I also believe that most of the teachers in Lumberton are awesome! I do believe however that there ARE some liberal teachers who DO try to influence students with liberal ideas, even here in predominantly conservative East Texas. I also believe that, even if not intentional on the part of the school, the CSCOPE curriculum does try to negatively influence students. Thankfully, LISD has created a committee to look into replacing CSCOPE.

Lumberton Teacher Wears “Vote Obama” Shirt to School

Last week I got a call from a student who said that, during the November 2012 election, Lumberton High School teacher Michelle Champagne paraded around the high school wearing a shirt with a picture of Barack Obama and "Vote Obama" written above the picture. This allegation was backed up by other students who saw her wearing the shirt. Even after at least one student and the student's parents complained to the school about this shirt, the teacher still wore the shirt to Lumberton High School, according to the complaining student and parent. It is not known what action, if any, was taken against the teacher for wearing the shirt.

The Burqa incident might have been as an honest mistake not meant to push anything onto the students, but there is nothing innocent about a teacher wearing a shirt to the high school that says "Vote Obama." This shirt in my opinion, is clearly an attempt of an authority figure to push a liberal person and ideas onto impressionable students at Lumberton High School. A teacher with a shirt with "vote" written on it would be fine at a school to encourage students to get involved. I would even be fine with a shirt that just had a picture of Obama on it. But a teacher wearing a shirt that has the words "Vote Obama" is clearly crossing the line. Students wearing religious or political shirts are ok because it is student led. A teacher is in a position of authority over impressionable students who are there to learn from the teacher, so teachers are NOT allowed to wear these kinds of things.

It is interesting to note that on Michelle Champagne's LISD Teacher Webpage, she says that the students in her class only do CSCOPE for the first 9 weeks!

This Lumberton Texas teacher labels herself as a LIBERAL TEACHER on TWITTER and has VULGAR anti-Republican pictures and messages on her Twitter

Just in case you want to try to argue that this teacher is not a liberal who, in my opinion, wants to push radical ideas onto the students in Lumberton, go check out this teacher’s past public twitter posts.

Lumberton, Texas – Liberal Texas school teacher surrounded by people who cling to their guns and Bibles...

Vulgar,  anti-Christian, anti-Republican, anti-Fox News Tweets found on Michelle Champagne’s Twitter Page:

This following picture of Texas Governor Rick Perry that was posted on Michelle Champagne’s Twitter came with this caption “Here comes Rick Perry, with a crippled swastika aka a cross.

Other Lumberton Teachers have also tried to influence Students with Liberal Propaganda

The idea of liberal influences from teaches in the conservative state of Texas is nothing new. Nearly two years ago, I wrote an article about a Lumberton Teacher, Karen Talbert, who Chastised 6th Grade Students for Watching Fox News Instead of CNN.

Interestingly enough, this is not my first unpleasant run in with Michelle Champagne. It was only a couple years ago that I passed out an American flag to every house in Lumberton on the anniversary of 9/11. The flag came with a flyer promoting conservative values. After passing out the flags, I got an email from a liberal who was not happy. She said I was wrong and she sarcastically said that she will pray to Mother Mary to have her son Jesus help us conservatives make it through this Democratic Rule. The thing that surprised me though was that this person signed this letter as “Michelle Champagne Junior English and World History Teacher”. As you can see, this person did not sign her letter as a concerned citizen. She signed her letter as a high school teacher. In my opinion, she is proud that she gets to spread liberalism to students at Lumberton High School without professionally keeping liberal politics separate from her position as a public teacher.

This article should make you sick to your stomach just thinking about what kind of thins liberal teachers are telling your kids while they are in school.
Parents Should Always Take Time to Ask Your Kids What They Are Learning In School and Take Action When Your Kids Tell You Something Wrong. Also, Check Their Homework and Ask for Copies of Lessons because the Kids Might Not Know They Are Being Taught Wrong. Parents are the Front Line Defense to Stop Liberal Ideas and Lessons from Taking Over our Schools!

Tim Tebow – Collin Klein Bill Filed to Allow Home Schoolers to Participate in Texas UIL Sports

the following article is by Tim Lambert from the Homeschool Coalition website:

Tim Tebow – Collin Klein Bill Filed

UIL was created in 1913 for all Texas students. In 1915 eligibility was restricted to white, public school students. According to testimony in the Leeper vs. Arlington ISD case, at this time, 80% of the students in Texas were home schooled. Although minority students were allowed to participate in UIL beginning in 1967, home school students are still excluded.
We are referring to this legislation as the “Tim Tebow bill,” since he was a home schooled student who played with a public school team in Florida and later earned a scholarship to the University of Florida.  Once at the University of Florida, he won a Heisman Trophy in 2007 and now plays in the NFL.
Collin Klein, Heisman Trophy candidate last year from Kansas State in the Big 12, was also a home school student who played football on a public school team in Colorado.
We are very close to having a Senate sponsor for the same language as HB 1374 in the Texas Senate. While a bill has been filed in the Senate (SB 573) that would allow private schools to take part in UIL in a limited way, it does not specifically include home schools.
This bill is essentially the same language as the Arizona law that has been in place in that state for almost ten years. It states that students who live in the district can participate, but students cannot withdraw from a public school and compete as a home school student in the same school year. It also requires parents to assure each reporting period that the student is passing their classes.
This legislation is simply allowing home schoolers the option to compete in UIL activities. Home schoolers in highly populated areas who have access to a well-organized, successful home school league would have less of an incentive to join UIL. On the other hand, home schoolers in rural areas have limited opportunities to compete in athletic sporting events. The UIL legislation would enable such home schoolers to compete in athletic sports that would otherwise be unavailable to them.
We were very pleased with initial discussions with members of both the House Public Education Committee as well as members of the Education Committee in the Texas Senate. Stay tuned as we move forward on what could be a momentous decision by the Texas legislature. This is an issue that THSC has been working on for almost twenty years.
We continue to work diligently to preserve the freedom of Texas parents to home school. The only way we, as home schoolers, can truly keep ourselves free of regulation is to vigilantly oppose any regulation presented every time the Texas legislature is in session. Each legislative session, THSC leads the battle against any regulation of home schooling and parental rights. We would not support this bill if we believed for a moment that it would jeopardize our precious rights.

Texas mother reportedly angry over 9/11 quiz she claims blamed US for attacks

Thursday, March 21, 2013

A Texas mother is outraged by a school quiz given to her son that seemingly blames the United States for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.

Kara Sands posted the test her son received in fifth grade at the Flour Bluff Independent School District in September on her Facebook page, which attracted more than 1,600 users in support of her concerns. Sands told KRISTV.com that she was most dismayed by a question that asked why the U.S. may be a target for terrorism. Her son chose the correct answer to the test that covered material from a video students watched in class: "Decisions we made in the United States have had negative effects on people elsewhere."

"I'm not going to justify radical terrorists by saying we did anything to deserve that; over 3,000 people died," Sands told the station.

Sands later met with the school's principal, her son's teacher and contacted the video's distributor, Safari Montage, whose representatives stand behind the video but have already changed the corresponding quiz.

School officials said Safari Montage representatives apologized for the wording of the question, saying it was not their intent to blame the United States for the terror attacks.

Lumberton ISD Looks to Replace Flawed CSCOPE Curriculum. Thanks LISD! Other Schools Should Follow

From the moment I first brought up the flawed Texas CSCOPE curriculum to the Lumberton School Board over two months ago, and through the national controversy over the Lumberton Muslim Burqa School Lesson a month ago, I never once blamed the Lumberton ISD School Board. They, like most people, did not realize the massive problems with CSCOPE. I personally know some of the board members and I know they are Christian Conservatives who would have never allowed CSCOPE at LISD if they would have known the secret problems within CSCOPE (pro communist lessons, incorrect answers, lack of transparency, bias against Christianity, calling Boston Tea Party Patriots Terrorists like 9/11 Terrorists).

Sometimes though, change is hard to get unless you really stir things up and expose enough problems. Although I did not blame the board, what I did do (via writing articles and contacting the school board) is I helped show the board, and the Lumberton community, that CSCOPE is very bad, and then pleaded with the board to take action.

I am very excited to say that the Lumberton School Board has listened and they have formed a committee to examine how CSCOPE can be replaced at Lumberton ISD.

The Lumberton curriculum committee is to be made up of district employees, parents and other community members, and it will present its findings to the administration and board by the June school board meeting.

I encourage other parents and taxpayers in other Texas communities to do the same thing. Go to your local school board meetings, speak to the board and plead with them to stop using CSCOPE because of all of the problems. Then take it further, get a group together and start speaking louder. They might not listen to one voter, but they will listen when a group of voters starts demanding they do away with CSCOPE.

Child Molester Set Free After Hardin County TX Sheriff's Deputy Investigated for Child Porn

After writing several articles about corruption in Hardin County and Lumberton, TX nothing should surprise me anymore right? WRONG!

This latest incident of public corruption shocked me and will likely shock anyone in Texas, or America for that matter.

Charges were dropped against accused child rapist Toby Langham, but not because he did not do it. District Attorney David Sheffield had to drop the charges and let Langham walk because, get this, Hardin County Sheriff's Department Sergeant Jerry Roberts, from Lumberton, TX, is being investigated by the Feds for having Child Porn. Jerry Roberts was the lead investigator for the case against Langham and that means all of his work against Langham is tainted. Now I do not believe that Langham will get out of charges in the long run. David Sheffield will get the evidence back together against Langham (without involvement from Jerry Roberts) and he will bring charges back against the accused Child Rapist. But still, talk about corruption! An accused child rapist goes free because the Sheriff Deputy investigating the case was himself being investigated for having child porn. That is just hard to believe, but it is true.

I am glad to see that Hardin County Sheriff Ed Cain took swift action and removed Jerry Roberts from the force until the investigation is over, which at that time if the evidence shows Jerry Roberts really had child porn, he needs to be fired.

This has also been a hard few months for District Attorney David Sheffield. His own Hardin County District Attorney office clerk, Philip Rodriguez, was recently hit with a public corruption scandal when it was discovered that one of his own employees was stealing money from the public. I was glad to see that Sheffield, like Ed Cain, also took swift action and fired this employee. Great job Hardin County Treasurer Sharon Overstreet for discovering the theft!

Public Corruption is everywhere. This is especially true in East Texas. That is why we should always stay vigilant. We should always ask questions. We should always demand transparency. When we find the public corruption, we need to expose it so that it will deter future public corruption and so that the bad guys will be brought to justice.

Unfortunately, this will not be the last story of public corruption in Hardin County and Lumberton, TX. Other instances of corruption are being investigated as I type this article. Check back here in the future so that you do not miss when I post new articles about public corruption in East Texas!
